About this cottage rental
Located in a Quiet and Quaint, Family Neighborhood where the Ice Cream Man still makes his rounds, this classic, beautifully renovated 1940s cottage sits 6 houses away from a private park with small beach. 10 minutes to Cedar Point, Kalahari, Sports Force and Ferries to the Islands. And 2 miles to Huron Lighthouse Pier with on river restaurants, roof top wine bar, boutique shops and boat basin events. Close to 2 Nature Preserves & Nickel Plate Beach. Near many thrift , charity and boutique shops. For optimal comfort this cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage is best suited for up to 6 or a maximum of 4 adults. Crystal Cove bedroom has a queen-sized bed, two side tables, bench and closet. California Dreaming bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and a large fold down/pop up sofa bed. The closet has a bench and ample storage. Must 8 years or older to use top bunk. Second bedroom has door to exterior with 3 locks. New, thick, high quality memory foam mattresses on all 3 beds. Living room has pop up sofa bed. Central Air in all rooms. The new fully equipped, galley style kitchen has white marble countertops and a breakfast bar with four bar stools. Electric ice cream maker, toaster, small crockpot, air fryer, blender, coffee kettle and single cup Keurig. New! Refrigerator With Ice Maker. The large private covered porch with ceiling fans has table seating for six plus a sideboard and soft patio chairs. We provide Linens, towels, wash clothes, dish clothes, beach towels, Starter pack of toilet paper paper towels and paper plates. Digital Tv, DVD player, a selection of DVD movies, board games & coloring books provided. Please note one Tv and No internet. Lake front Fire pit at Park. Vintage yard games of croquet, badminton and bag toss. Beach bucket and toys. Wagon and 3 beach chairs. Grassy lawn in front, back and side. Large driveway with Ample parking for boats. Double row parking for 4 or more cars. On street parking not allowed on Richland Ave. Propane and charcoal grill. Iron and ironing board. Box fan 800 square feet including covered porch. Steps to porch and house. Narrow doors.

We love staying here. The cottage is exactly as described, with spot-on decor, efficient use of space, and practical amenities indoors and out. The owners are friendly and helpful, even letting us know where the crawl space was during a storm. We are excited to go back a third year.

This VRBO offers a lot of great little touches including corn hole, rock painting, bikes and beach chairs. The cottage inlcuded a lot of notes on what was going on around the area and exactly how to get the best out of your stay. We mostly enjoyed the front porch when we were back from the park. Great place to stay! Also the owners were close by and easy to get ahold of!

Fabulous stay! Beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you may need and then some. Fresh mint on the porch, a beautiful wildflower and mint flower arrangement in the kitchen, personalized letter board, little touches for the kids all over. We made fabulous memories and can't wait to stay again. Also, the best location. Kudos to the hostess' with the mostest!

AMAZING!!!! The house was so cozy, everything you would need to stay! Sweet neighborhood and neighbors. The home is so clean and neat. Decorated beautifully! Comfortable bed and soft bedding. If you are looking for a family setting with a fire pit, yard games, an amazing covered porch with activities for everyone this is the home you should chose! You will not regret it! 1 block away is the beach, we went every night to watch the sun set. They provided a beach wagon and chairs. We are already planning on returning next year! I can’t thank the owners enough!!

The beach cottage was perfect for what we needed. One block from a small park & beach. The property was very clean and beautifully decorated. Lots of outdoor activities to play with for our children. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay in Huron! It was perfect for our family of 6. We had lots of fun at Cedar Point the first day. Then we enjoyed the beach the second day. The front porch was so relaxing and all the decorations were lovely. We all enjoyed painting some rocks to leave and our kids loved playing croquet. We will be back!

This was perfect for our stay… close to the beach, close to Cedar Point, and close enough to Cleveland to go to a Guardians game. The house is well stocked & well located. We would definitely stay here again!

Clean, comfortable and so cute! Every detail was looked after from personalized welcome sign, fresh flowers & snacks to a fully stocked kitchen clean porch with seating. Tons of towels, toiletries were a perk. Excellent communication with property management LOVED this house! A+

Soul's Anchor was a perfect lake cottage for our Labor Day weekend getaway. The owners really have thought of everything you might need including beach towels, a wagon for pulling all your gear to the water, and lots of fun outdoor games (badminton, corn hole, etc.). They turned on the porch lights since we checked in after dark, and when we arrived there was a snack bag waiting for us...a huge plus with kids! The house was impeccably clean and cozy. Thank you for a lovely weekend!

Our three kids loved this house and didn't miss the internet at all. It was a short drive to Cedar Point, plus there was a playground and small beach just 2 blocks away. The fire pit and yard games were lots of fun. The owner makes the most of every inch of space. We were very comfortable here and appreciated the notes about dinner and music nearby.

Enjoyed our stay near the lake at this newly remodeled home. Near cedar point and other lake attractions made this an enjoyable experience. Was like a home away from home. Friendly neighborhood also!

This property was perfect in every way. It was close to Cedar Point, restaurants and shopping but tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of traffic. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The front porch was a nice place to sit and enjoy the evenings. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and thoughtfully set up, with clearly labeled amenities (like extra sheets), and safety measures like carbon monoxide detector and emergency information readily available. The porch was a great option to eat with a table the kids could sit at, and we were delighted so many entertainment items were provided (sand toys, bean bag toss, etc.) Not having internet was the most prominent con, but we made it work! Thank you for opening this lovely house!

This place was perfect for my young family! The place is exactly as described and the covered porch was a huge hit for meal times and a place to watch the rain. We were just about 15 minutes to cedar point and a 2 minute walk to the little park and beach. We will definitely be back!

This is an amazing cottage in Huron, about 15 minutes from Cedar Point. The cottage appears to have been recently remodeled, and it is very modern and beautiful. The cottage is stocked with everything you could want for a vacation rental. James and Rebecca even provided some snacks, some refreshments in the refrigerator, and popsicles in the freezer! If you are visiting Cedar Point, this is a terrific place to stay. I think this would also be a great place to stay if you live in Ohio and wanted a nice weekend retreat. I highly recommend.

On the chalkboard are good recommendations for local restaurants and adventures. We enjoyed the welcoming, cozy front porch / patio area, which has beautiful landscaping, comfy seating and is perfect for outdoor dining, playing games or just relaxing. Highly Recommend!
