Breakfast was excellent. Locations is superb. Please consider to build concrete edges on the sides of the culvert on the road to the hotel. This is crucial for safety.

Day light bulbs in side rooms are not appropriate to create a good ambiance. Those should be warm whites. Wardrobe should be changed to a new one .

As I said before , do not come here for a hotel stay or nice dinner. There is no service here at all. But DO come here for an utterly amazing location in which you can stay and even have a dip in a pool. Quite extraordinary! The price is way too much for what you get, but it's up to you to decide if it's worth it or not. We loved the experience

It's quite a climb up to reception, but there was no one there. I had to go back down to the car area to get a phone signal and make an expensive phone call (foreign sim card) to get someone's attention. Expensive check in and only for fit people. At checkout the credit card machine did not work, so take plenty of cash. At dinner we wanted Sri Lankan food, but were told that we had to order that in advance. Well, no one had told us so at checkin or by mail before....it would have been helpful. So our choice was not much more than fried chicken with fries or pork with sauce....nothing vegetarian. I managed to get a plate of rice. My husband ordered the pork. It took ages to come and the pork was absolutely awful. Inedible. Big portion of what seemed like shoe soles at best covered in brown sauce. Unfortunately, we had to give it back. We ended up eating bananas and rice ( and we are not fussy eaters). Not nice. I went to see the kitchen and it was not difficult to see the problem. Chaos in an old kitchen that has no facilities. And the staff look totally untrained. I think the hotel has 5 staff, no more. This is not a hotel, it is a quite incredible place that seems to have been forgotten by its owners. You cannot really blame the staff. Fact is, don't come here for a hotel or good food! You will be disappointed. To be fair, I must mention too that the following morning the cook had made a fantastic spread of Sri Lankan breakfast items. We got everything you could possibly imagine and it was wonderful.

Extraordinary - loved the dining area under the rock. Staff were super attentive (but we were the only guests)

Our room was a little damp but it was the rainy season. Would have liked more comfortable pool chairs/loungers!

Need to do a immediate restoration of wash room and bath tubs
