About this house rental
Nestled in Newport, this attractive house for £755 per night is a great choice for your next trip. We own and operate several properties on Aquidneck Island that offer nightly, weekly & monthly rentals. Thames Street is 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom condo located in the heart of downtown Newport. This a second & third floor property, directly above retail shops. Each bedroom has a king size bed each with an adjacent bathroom. The property sleeps six people in total. There is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the second floor. With one bedroom, one bathroom, a cozy eat in kitchen and living room on the third floor. You can access the roof top deck (seasonal) from the third floor. AC window units are installed in the high summer season. One parking spot provided on property. Please note that this is a LEGAL Newport rental property. We highly recommend booking only legal rentals otherwise you risk the chance of eviction by the city along with possible fines. Please note we have a two night minimum and prefer to rent Friday & Saturday nights together. If you are looking for a Thursday & Friday OR Saturday & Sunday please message us for accurate pricing. Holiday weekends have a three night minimum. If you are looking to stay longer over a holiday weekend and are having trouble booking please message us. Also, if you have questions regarding pricing we only negotiate summer pricing within a 4 weeks of the stay. Feel free to reach out regarding off season pricing or long term stays. Lastly, if you are looking for an early check in or a late check out we will be unable to guarantee this until the week of your reservation as it depends on other guests checking in or out. You will be contacted within 24 hours of your arrival by VRBO with check in instructions. Check in is 3 pm and check out is 10am.

This home was great for our party of three couples spending New Years Eve weekend in Newport. The bedrooms are very roomy and we all had our own bathroom. The showers have wonderful body wash and high end shampoo/conditioners. The kitchen is stocked with two coffee makers including K-cups. The table in the kitchen is a bit small for 6 people , but if you stay here in the summer months you will be able to enjoy the larger table on the rooftop deck.The location is right on Thames St in the heart of fun shops and restaurants. If you stay in the lower bedrooms you may want to bring earplugs if you are sensitive to loud noises at night.
The unit was very clean when we arrived (although we found someone’s clothes in the nightstand as we were departing).
Overall, we found the beds to be very comfortable, the showers were great, and we loved the convenience of walking to shops and restaurants. We did have to find parking down the road for one of the cars we took. We couldn’t find long term parking, just had to keep feeding the meter every 12 hours or so.
Newport is a great place to visit any time of year… lots of history, culture , shopping and great for foodies!

We were in Newport this weekend for my brother’s wedding. This was a perfect place for us to stay! The beds were huge and comfy. There was tons of space for my daughters to run and crawl around and it was so nice to have the roof top deck. I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling with a big group or family :)

Our family of six adults stayed here for a long weekend and had a great trip! The location cannot be beat- it was extremely walkable in the heart of downtown Newport. The bedrooms were all spacious with very comfortable king beds and private bathrooms. The common area was large and a great place for all of us to gather. We would definitely stay here again!

The condo is lovely and spacious but the rooftop sitting area is the icing on the cake. Our group enjoyed morning coffee and sunset views. The furnishings are comfortable and the location is within easy walking distance to the Cliff Walk as well as all that the Thames St area has to offer.

We decided to do a short family vacation before the summer season. The apartment was perfect for our family. The roof deck is spectacular and nice for enjoying your morning coffee. The location made it easy to walk everywhere. The house had all the essentials and the bathrooms had the basic toiletries. Beds were comfortable and there was a nice living room for family games. The shop keepera below the apartment were friendly and we loved the keyless entry to the apartment. My only regret is that we did not stay longer.

Perfect location for walking everywhere. It was very clean and comfortable for our family. I especially appreciated that it was supplied with soap/detergent, all the little things that some places make you bring yourself. Simple check in and the owners were very responsive the one time I reached out. I hope to stay here again.

The space was clean, spacious and in the perfect location. The write-up and related photos were accurate. The shared space was great for hanging out, doing puzzles, watching movies; and the rooftop deck provided a beautiful view of the sunsets. We will definitely be back!

Myself & 3 sisters stayed here. All the rooms were large and very clean. Perfect location with ability to walk for sightseeing & restaurants. Had a few questions for the property manager who responded quickly. Bring an Amazon Fire Stick if you want to watch TV. Excellent!!!

We had a great stay at this house. It is right downtown and we were able to walk to everything. The beds were very comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. We got lucky with the weather and watched the sunset from the roof deck which was amazing. Highly recommend this house for a Newport getaway!

Four of us (two couples) had a wonderful stay. The apartment was very nice, clean, and had everything you need. Bedrooms are very private for two or 3 couples - each having their own private bath/suite. Kitchen and living space had all the amenities you need in a nice bright space with lots of windows over looking thames street. Roof deck was very cool but we didn’t have time or the right weather to use it. Couldn’t ask for a better location for walking access to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend.

This property is in an absolutely fantastic location in the Newport area, easy walking distance to food, shopping and entertainment. It sits above a barbershop and small store with a liquor store catty corner and lots of little shops spread around. two of the bedrooms have connected baths, the third bedroom also has a connected bath that shares with the hall way. The third bedroom is less private, it has barn doors and glass windows from the family room. The upstairs deck has great views and a wonderful spot to hang out, be very careful on the stairs however as they are a bit steep for anyone who is not sure footed. We truly loved our stay here, the only item we were a bit leery of was a back stairwell to a door that went outside. The first morning we woke up there the door was a jar as if someone had entered. To be fair, we were all safe and we’re not aware of anyone entering and there is a door to one of the bedrooms that does lock to that hallway however it did make us a little bit uncomfortable. As we weren’t aware of it nor where we where a few may have access to it. To be clear, we did not have any issue occur but did cause some concern.

I visited Newport, RI for a friend's wedding. This property was a PERFECT location; walkable to all wedding events, restaurants and shops. It was also a perfect size for my husband and I, as well as a friend and her spouse. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking to experience downtown Newport!

The place could use some TLC and updating but otherwise it is a huge space in a great location. It definitely served its purpose. Pictures are exactly what you get. Rooms are big. Kitchen is old and so are the bathrooms. Great AC for a hot weekend.
Note that there is only 1 parking spot and Newport is very crowded in the summer if you are with a group of people who have multiple cars that could be very challenging.

This place was so clean & Huge that we should have invited another couple! There was multiple bedrooms and bathrooms along with an amazing roof top deck to watch the sunset over the water! Although the cabinet above kitchen sink was broken & the tv didn’t have cable or directions to use the Remote, otherwise we loved it. Just a short walk to our Favorite restaurant DIEGO’s and ice cream shops!

Absolute perfect location for Newport. We were walking distance (few minutes walk) between all the best restaurants and with water views. Roof top deck is amazing. Additional parking across the street if needed for additional cars for a great overnight rate and at a beautiful lot at the Marina. 3 large beds in the 3 rooms that fit 6 of us girls so comfortably. Property manager was incredibly responsive and responded to every message within minutes. It was a great experience.

Stayed here for a wedding on Goat Island. Overall it was perfect for us location and space wise. There is only one parking spot which is tricky but was able to park at a private residence across the street for a nominal fee. The owner of the store below was helpful. The door code listed was not accurate and the keypad is very sensitive so it took some practice. It can be very noisy but that is the same for all properties on Thames so is a given. Kevin responded promptly to questions and concerns.

We had a nice stay at this condo. The 3 bedrooms are spacious and each has their own bathroom. Terrific location to the shops and restaurants! The host Kevin provided breakfast foods and snacks which was much appreciated! He was also very responsive to questions we had. There are quite a few stairs in this unit so need to be able to do stairs.

Convenient location, spacious. We unfortunately didn't get to take advantage of the deck due to weather. Kitchen table could have been larger to accommodate 6 people. Host Kevin left us snacks and breakfast food, nice touch.
