Our Fox Tail Chalet cabin near Seven Springs and Hidden Valley Resorts sleeps up to 7 persons and has 2 full bathrooms. This rustic log cabin chalet has one master bedroom with queen-sized bed, two lofts and a sleeper sofa in the living area. One loft has 3 twin beds and the second loft has one full-sized bed. The second loft can also accommodate a full or queen sized air mattress if necessary. Fox Tail Chalet has a full kitchen stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware and cookware. Just bring your groceries or have us pick some up for you prior to your stay! This Chalet is located just 6 miles from both Seven Springs Mountain Resort and Hidden Valley Ski Areas. Why stay in a stuffy condo when you could experience a real-life mountain log cabin stay while visiting any of the area's attractions. Enjoy clean, crisp mountain air, spacious cabins secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the mountain. The Fox Tail Chalet is perfect for a couple's getaway or family ski vacation. Fireplaces! We have a real wood-burning fireplace fully stocked with firewood for your stay. Jack Claycomb was a master mason and hand built our massive fireplace to be the center focal point of the Fox Tail mountain chalet. Authentic Mountain Chalet - Fox Tail is an authentic mountain cabin, not a condo dressed up to look like a cabin. The Fox Tail chalet was built entirely out of locally-sourced timber that feature massive log beams and rough-cut interior. You will not find one ounce of drywall in this all-wood log home. The logs still have the bark on them! Pet Friendly - We are pet lovers! We welcome most breeds of dogs, a rarity here in the Laurel Highlands. We do have a few breed restrictions however since there are multiple cabins situated on our property. Wildlife and Bird Watching - Fox Tail Chalet has a large bird feeder on the back wooden deck that attracts all sorts of birds from Blue-Jays, Cardinals, Woodpeckers and a variety of Finches. Deer plots are set up near the cabin that attract White-Tail Deer as well as squirrels and an occasional grey fox or two. Very great communication with hosts prior to stay, cute and quaint little cabin chalet just as described. Fully supplied kitchen made for meal prep pretty easy. Bring groceries bc the area has limited options nearby. We knew this ahead of time and probably saved us time and money.

This cabin was nicer than pics show on site . Downstairs bedroom was very comfortable and has own bathroom . Additionally there are two lofts one with a double bed and the other loft with three singles . Additional bathroom and shower makes it easy to have five people in one space .. We were impressed by the generous amount of split wood and made a fire each night . This property feels rustic and removed but has the safety of other cabins on property .. we all enjoyed our time here .

Rustic lodging, with all the amenities and linens. Very clean. Comfortably fit all 7of us. Conveniently located near Seven Springs. Very friendly owner and chickens. Definitely looking forward to another stay.

What a beautiful property! We’ve stayed in many cabins, and this Foxtail Chalet was great! Very clean, cozy and comfortable! We’d like to return in the winter as it was a bit warm. I’m sure it is especially cozy in the winter months.

The property is located in the heart of the Laurel Highlands. This is a great location for exploring the area. The property was clean and quiet. Our Japanese Spitz loved being able to walk out the back door to do her business.

We had a great time staying at this home. Very clean and great location between Hidden Valley and 7 springs. Huge lot, great fireplace and a ton of dry wood.. We had a couple small issues when we got there with the connection to internet but the owner Dave was all over it and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. A big thank you to him for being so responsive and making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely go back..

Clean, Rustic and Romantic , we really enjoyed a few days here. The authentic wood burning fireplace was awesome and the owners provided more than enough firewood. We definitely will return someday.

We arrived only to have the property manager tell us he did not have our reservation! We had a confirmation number and confirmed booking. He said there was a mix up with the booking. He offered us an apartment under the cabin we were supposed to have because someone had booked our cabin after we did. It was okay. The yard had alot of worn out things and trashy. The inside was okay but all the furniture was worn out and old. When you sat on the couch you would sink to the floor! The fireplace was in the driveway and the road was only a few hundred yards away so the car noise was disturbing. the bedroom decorations were axes, awes, knives and other weird stuff. We appreciated him accommodating us however not sure what happened. We even communicated before the arrival and he still did not pick up that he did not have our reservation. He did refund part of the rental fees.

The cabin is great. great atmosphere , very nice owners, clean. Just wish the main road was not that close. That being said, we had an amazing time

Plenty of room for seven of us and our two dogs. So happy to have nice place that we could bring dogs along. Fire place and firewood supply fantastic. Rustic and charming. Kids enjoyed the loft experience. Only complaint is family room was drafty when outside temp very cold (teens and below).
