We didn't stay here. Our room was dirty with live small roaches in the bathroom and my son found on his pillow. They have a strange 5pm check-in time, but being unfamiliar with the area, only in general, it seemed like a decent hotel. It wasn't. We filed a compliant once we returned from dinner. It was then my son noticed their policies posted about how long you have to file a compliant, it's as if they know exactly how an out of town experienced traveler would react to the condition of their property. We contacted hotels.com via chat and also filed a complaint with our bank.

The photos of the rooms are misleading. Our room had a linoleum floor (no carpet), the furniture was poorly painted, towels were quite thin, the phone didn't work which made it quite inconvenient to ask for fresh towels, tp, or more soap, etc. The king-size bed though was quite comfortable. The outside appearance was pretty shabby, e.g., peeling paint, rotting wood, barely planted gardens.

I come into Los Angeles quite frequently So I look for something safe, clean, comfortable and inexpensive. Le Reve provides all of those things.
They have a few different different types of rooms. Some that have been remodeled some that have not. You definitely gonna want a room that’s been remodeled. It’s worth an extra five dollars or whatever it is they’re charging. It is worth noting that they have two versions of the remodeled rooms: a white one and a black one. In my humble opinion, the white one is head and shoulders better than the black one. So when you tell them that you want one of the remodeled rooms.

The hotel downgraded me from the Deluxe room I reserved to a Standard room because they oversold their Deluxe rooms. The front desk attendant said he didn’t have the authority to give me a deluxe room, I’d have to speak to the management the next morning at 11 AM.
When I spoke to management at 11 AM, they told me that since I already spent the night in the room, I had “accepted” the room and they therefore had no obligation to move me to the deluxe room I reserved. I find this bait-and-switch extremely unethical.
The manager claimed that hotels.com was the problem and I had to take it up with them and he *didn’t have the authority” to upgrade me to the room I actually reserved, or give me a discount on the standard room, or assist me in any way.
When I threatened a BBB complaint he said “go ahead, the manager gets them removed every time.”
Then he hung up on me. When I called back they stopped taking my calls. I’ve never seen such animosity toward a customer.
The WiFi was too slow to work remotely as I’d planned. I killed multiple cockroaches. The rooms look nothing like the pictures and the whole place is a dive. People living out of RVs on the parking lot. Paper thin walls with noise all night. The light in the bathroom flickered like a horror movie. The bathtub’s plug was removed so you couldn’t take a bath. Terrible, very sketchy location right off a freeway exit.
Don’t by fooled by the pics—your room will look nothing like that. Run from this place.

It was a bad experience bad customer service I left my cellphone in the front counter and when I got to my room I realized it went back less than 15 min it was gone I ask the receptionist Ignacio to check the cameras because there was only one customer that was checking in back of me and the receptionist he said he couldn’t check the cameras till Tuesday…. Any other hotel would check quick since the camera is facing the counter

It seemed like there were a lot of semi-permanent residents at this hotel, with various groups sitting in the smoking area talking. There was a travel trailer in the parking lot which seemed like someone might live there, along with ocean containers which might be used for storage or something. Looks like there used to be an area for breakfast near the lobby, but it was off limits. Upon booking I received a notice that the office was only open from 5pm until midnight. Not sure what happens if a key is lost. The room was initially clean, but the first morning there were a few baby cockroaches about. As I returned to the room for the second night, there were over a dozen cockroaches, so I decided to leave early and not stay there even though I had paid in advance.

Freeway 210 adjacent to hotel traffic noise continually all night; no sleep, individuals in parking lot loudly talking

Check in time is 5:00!! No exceptions! Front desk man was very unfriendly. We had a roach visit us all night on the countertop, shower looked so gross, didn’t even use it. They also hold $150 for up to 5 days for a deposit. Definitely will not be coming back here. 5:00 check in is the worst!

Apart from the long wait to check it, I must say it was very nice and the heaters worked very nicely, the room was nice an clean and check out was super fast

Worst travel experience of my life.
Don't stay here.
This place is a dump.
Old.
Tired.
The fan in the bathroom is caked with dust. (see photo)
Cobwebs in the corner.
My son slept fully clothed because he was afraid of bed bugs.
Ridiculously overpriced at $400+/night (Rose Parade/Bowl).
Avoid at all costs.
We arrived shortly before midnight for a 3-night stay and cancelled nights 2 & 3 as soon as we saw the room and sat on the ancient, uncomfortable mattress.
This was literally within 6 minutes of checking in.
The person working the front desk said we should speak with the regular employee that would be there in the morning.
The next morning, a Sunday, we checked out and asked about a refund.
We were told they couldn't handle such a transaction without management approval, and management could only be reached via email.
And because we booked through a travel agent (Hotels.com) they suggested we have them handle it for us.
We left feeling like this was a formality and would be taken care of without a problem.
Management refused even a partial refund.
Which is criminal given the quality of the product they offer for the price we were charged.
You've been warned. Don't stay here.
My horrific experience could've been prevented if I had been more diligent in reading the reviews.
Le Rêve is French for "the dream." This hotel should be called le cauchemar.
I hope this review spares you a painful and expensive experience like the one I had with Hotel Le Rêve.

It was very much OK. Old amenities and appliances, stained bathroom and carpet, very limited amounts of things like towels, toilet paper, pillows. Definite lack of modern upgrades like plugs and charging ports. We paid SO much for this room because it was near the Rose Parade - not worth it.

The pictures looked pretty good, but this location is sketchy and property is not in good condition. There was a homeless guy in the elevator claiming to be cleaning it...

Not not a place to stay. There was a lipstick stain on my pillow case. Woke up to roaches on the night stand, towels were stained, and the tv stations barely worked. Very disappointing

Refrigerator, small kitchenette area with sink, but no microwave. Bathroom is old, & needs to be updated. Phone in room doesn't work, no clock in room, & no daily maid services. They come after you check out, but you can ask for towel changes during your stay. Exterior of building is old, so lights are flashing, pool area is small with a 4 1/2' dipping pool with old patio furnitures.

I always look for them to offer breakfast and when I booked it said that I had breakfast, when I checked in and they told me that due to COVID they still didn't offer it but it didn't say there. Also the bed that touched me made a lot of noise every time you moved, I didn't have a microwave, the truth is I didn't like it apart from being very expensive for the hotel that was.

It was fine for 2 men going to breeder’s cup. I wouldn’t take my family/kids there. Roaches, lights don’t work, they won’t address issues 20 minutes after u check in per their policy, cable coaxial does not even screw together, “kitchenette” sink is the hand washing sink, no second layer curtain to let light in but keep wandering eyes away, no safe.

Great location for where we planned to go. Lots of noise at night. Bathroom sink had no stopper. Towels were thin, worn, and rough.

I booked this room for a convention in the area. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom was spacious, and the area was quiet. There are a few grocery stores in the area and one is in walking distance which was great. There’s an Amazon Fresh right across the street. The hotel doesn’t offer housekeeping which was fine by me cause it allowed me to sleep in without worrying about being woken up.
I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has cockroaches and mosquitoes. Well I got bitten by a small mosquitoe while staying. The bathroom well it needed to fix somehow. The room is clean and the staffs is friendly. Also the deposit fee please use cash because credit or debit card will refund by 5 or 7 business days.

Horrible because I paid online and when I went to go check my reservation, they wanted to charge me an extra 150 and on the app, Hotels.com did not inform me that I had to pay 150 just to stay at the hotel and issue me a refund and I know you can spend one night at the hotel or you can touch the door. What a waste of money in with my time I do hope they give me a refund soon as possible

Definitely a motel. But clean and nice.

The pictures online and on this rating do not match what this hotel is like in real life. Cleanilness is questionable at best, hotel has an aggressive list of "policies" and many things state in the listing are no longer offered. Any renonations done to the hotel room look like bad DIY jobs. Weird people in the parking lot and people come abd go at all hours of the night. Hotel is not staffed between 1am and 9am in the morning. Left a day early because I couldnt stand another night.

It was a good value near my event! Slept well in a comfortable bed.

Well we found 2 Roaches in the room. Plus deposit was $150 I have never gave over $100 deposit and that's at a 4star hotel not a 2 Star like this one. So I will see how fast I get my refund.

Location appears sketchy but, actually, quite safe. In need of remodel & style upgrades, but everything works, even the ice machine.

This hotel advertises itself as “pet friendly,” but does not accept cats. We learned that only after they had charged my credit card. However, the desk staff was as kind about it as they could be and called management to request a refund for us

The room was nicely decorated and clean. However the countertops are matte granite and need polishing as there were lots of stains (glass ring watermarks) making not look so clean. Otherwise bed was plush and linens clean! Loved the rainfall shower!! I would stay there again!

Didn’t feel super safe, rooms weren’t clean (I cleaned our floors after we got there because they were filthy, towels had stains, etc

It was just okay. They wanted to charge me $60 for an early check-in fee, and then the room itself was sub par. Nothing exciting.

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The staff was rude, but that isn’t the worst part. When I arrived at the room, it was not just dirty - there was actual feces on the floor and seemingly a construction project going on in the bathroom. I opted not to stay here, and yet I have been denied a refund by the hotel. STAY AWAY!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!! I booked a room here last minute around 11pm and when I arrived at the hotel around 1230am after driving into town a note was on the lobby door saying "no guest services from midnight until 9am" on a SATURDAY! I wasnt able to check in and was charged immidiately for my reservation. I had my 5 year old son with me and it was raining. As I pulled into the parking lot I saw the last employee closing up the front door and when I was standing by the front hoping someone would appear to let me in the employee blew past me in their car as I tried to flag therm down to ask what was going on. They ignored me and drove past me. I called a number listed on the note. They never returned my call.I asked for a refund since I didnt get to stay there. They refused to refund me my money and the hotel wasnt even busy that night multiple rooms were vacant with window curtains wide open. the hotel knew I had a reservation. They could've provided a courtesty call to inform me they close at midnight which would've allowed me to cancel or make other plans. Their hours are confusing with check in times and "guest reception" times contradicting one another. You provide hospitality but fail to provide anything but stealing your money for jo services rendered. And employ people who drive past a guest in need when they have already paid for a room. What hotel doesnt have guest services for over 9hrs on a weekend? They never returned my call and my son and I slept in the car.
