Wonderful place! Awesome! Beds! Breakfast Buffett is AMAZING!! After that foo was way overpriced for quality. But many restaurants around hotel to eat that were wonderful.

Room and property was great. Staff fiendly except for concierge, who did not explain about included activities.

Sat down at the table to order drinks and food near the bar area tables and server never came. We got up after 20 min. Also spa services were booked so couldn’t utilize any of that. It was cold and rainy during our stay and the room was freezing.

Lovely staff very happy with the resort

Over rated, only one jacuzzi, always busy . We only use it for 10 minutes during whole staying.

I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone. There are places in the exact same area for much, much better overall value. We booked Andaz for our honeymoon and made multiple calls to ensure they knew why we were staying there. Learned my parents called the day before our arrival to have champagne waiting for us too. Not only was the champagne not there but not even a single word was mentioned about our honeymoon the entire time there.
They canceled our $700 luau on property a week prior with no call to provide a refund or help booking somewhere else. Then their “mixology class” is just talking and watching a bartender make drinks that you don’t choose. Thought we would be physically making the drinks while the bar tender instructed us. The name should be changed to “mixology show”.
For nearly $1,400 a night with taxes and mandatory valet it was extremely disappointed.

Phenomenal stay at Andaz - went for a medical conference and it was clean, quiet, spacious, friendly staff and comfortable for a family with kids of all ages

I wanted to love this property, however, it was a disappointment. The only people that were kind and hospitable were the valet. The front desk did not care about hospitality, nor decency. We booked with the andazbabymoon promo code, available on the Hyatt website for our stay. My husband called ahead to make sure they knew that was important to me a few weeks before and to confirm the room would have a tub. We booked the room specifically for that amenity and paid an additional 147$ a night for it. When we arrived they gave us a dirty run down room, the bed was a rock and it only had a shower with soap and hair all over in it. We asked them to move us rooms and they refused. We asked them to at least move us to the room we booked for and they said they were all unavailable because they were all booked or being renovated. I felt very socially profiled based on comments that were made, we are an upper middle class family, we stay in resorts regularly but this was our first Hawaii experience and it was awful at the andaz. The four seasons had more activities and dinner options as well as better hospitality for just attending their events. The concierge was rude and acted like we wasted her time by wanting to book excursions and she booked our spa visit at a time that removed the ability to take advantage of the spa amenities, the spa rectified. The island is amazing the people off of the resort were wonderful. I would never stay at the andaz again or recommend them to anyone.

Andaz was one of the best resorts I’ve stayed at. All the staff was welcoming and everything was clean and amenities were amazing! Perfect place for our babymoon.

3/5 ain’t so bad!
Pros:
Wonderfully nestled in the flowing Wailea area, the Andaz is a gem of a hotel. The architecture is modern. The space is grand. The grounds are spacious. The gardens are meticulously manicured. It’s a beautiful place to be.
Rooms are nice and clean. Modern. Complimentary snacks and water is a nice touch.
Views are spectacular.
Cons:
No breakfast. At the price you pay, breakfast should be complimentary.
Parking, I understand should cost something, but $98 a day is too steep ($50 resort fee, $48 parking fee). What makes matters worse is that Valets seem to expect a tip every time they drive your car 50 yards. One valet actually insisted I Venmo them - how unbecoming.
Room design, the door leading to the bathroom kept banging into the front door. Annoying.
Electronic shade - a nice touch, but an inconvenience since there’s a balcony, so if you want to access the balcony you need to wait 10 seconds for the shade to roll up.
Concierge - I asked if there was an upgrade room possibility. I was offered two options $400/night extra or $150 extra per night. I countered and said if they could lower the $150/night to $75-85, I’d do it. The concierge never got back to me. Sad.
Also, when I was checking in, they took my CC but never told me what they were charging as a deposit. I had to call down and find out.
Overall:
A beautiful place to be, but be ready to be price gouged. Would consider going back, but would need to get the room with bfast.

We just stayed from august 26-sept 1. Many people canceled trips to Maui during that time period so maybe we were very spoiled by all the great service and quiet atmosphere. The resort itself is beautiful and clean and full of helpful, laid back and happy people.
My only complaint is the usual buffet breakfast was not available due to the staff not being able to keep up with the demands of making everything at this time. The breakfast was still amazing, just a little bit limited.

The only thing I was not pleased was we were not greeted with lei because they thought we were local resident…We came all the way from California they thought we were from Hawaii. Staff should consider all your guests fairly regardless if you are a local resident or from another State.

The hotel was clean, had gorgeous facilities and staffs were very polite however, for the price that you already pay for, local calling should be included or at the very least, have a reasonable call rate. Also, for late checkout by another hour, it should not cost $250 when other hotels offer this as complimentary.

Very nice property. The only complaint is the cost of basic items. Coke at the pool, 10$, hamburger 32$, hot dog 17$. Resort fee and parking were quite huge too.

This place is absolutely magical. Perfectly situated on the most beautiful oceanfront property among lush gardens and swaying palm trees. It indeed feels like an exclusive boutique hotel. The service was stellar, the plentiful and delicious buffet breakfast should not be missed, the spa is dreamy, and the pools and private beach are glorious. The only downside is that 2 of the 3 restaurants on-site are specialty, signature restaurants, leaving only one option for more standard fare, and the food options there are very limited. With only a few restaurant options off-property, it would be helpful if the hotel doubled the standard fare food options. But, in spite of that, we will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing! We had the best time. From the Valet Drivers to the Beach Boys, they were all a huge part in making this trip so relaxing. The resort is SO beautiful. Won’t stay anywhere else now having been to Andaz!

The Andaz is a terrific facility with excellent service. My only quibble is price. Our room was roughly double the price we paid pre pandemic for exactly the same room in exactly the same season. The Wailea area remains a beautiful, expensive bubble, but we found it difficult on some nights to find an open table at any of the local restaurants, so be prepared to plan ahead and don’t rely on spontaneous decisions late in the afternoon to find you a table at the restaurant you wanted to have dinner at

No hot water in shower 🚿 in morning or evening , they came to fix it. We had tepid water for 20 minutes and then it was cold again.

Had some issue when am checking in
Found bugs and cockroaches in the room like 3 times and when I talk about it no one really listens to me
Charged me again form a breakfast that was including on my reservation they said they will solve it but they didn’t
Also charged me for 2 people breakfast although it was only me
Complimentary things in the room was not refilled

The Andaz Maui hotel is way overrated!
A very slim bath and skinny closet! Terrible room service, and the thinnest toilette paper on the planet: one wipe requires 3ft of paper! Only a few umbrellas on all 3 pools! The beach is terrible!

This is a beautiful property at which we have stayed many times. However, it is very expensive and rates have risen steeply in the last couple of years. We were frustrated to see some reductions in service on a recent trip - the hotel store (mokapu market) no longer opens 24 hours and room service was very poor (despite its high price) food was delivered in a carrier bag and was unappetizing and poorly presented.

Initially given a room with an aweful layout with a view of the dumpsters. We were woken up at 3:30am by a rooster and then shortly after the loud noise of the trash being collected by waste management. It made it impossible to sleep the first night. I went to the front desk to request to be moved to a different room due to the rooster and was told the only availability would be an upgrade which they had charged me over an additional $200/n. They said the rooster comes frequently and they can’t control it. The food at the pool
Area was mediocre at best and the service was non existent. They were completely understaffed for the thanksgiving week. If we wanted drinks or to order food , we literally had to chase down staff. The resort didn’t appear to be packed at all. It looked like they hired homeless people to work the beach. We were bought dirty towels and when we brought it up to the attendant, he said they arent dirty they are just stained. They thought it was acceptable to give out stained towels at a 5 star resort. We ended up booking a room at the grand wailea the last 2 days of our trip just to get better service at the pool and it was significantly better there.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay here. The facilities were beautiful and well maintained, the food was delicious, and staff members were kind and attentive. It felt like a big splurge even just for our two night stay, but was fully worth it.

We enjoyed staying here on our honeymoon (5 nights). Super modern and new, with lots of natural elements. Great ocean view suits with two balconies. Friendly and fast responding staff, yummy food and great entertainment. Loved the spa for two, excellent amenities and therapists. Loved the water activities offered by the property! Will definitely come back!
