The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre with a carpark next to the property. The location of the hotel will allow easy walking excursions through the city.

Truly excellent and friendly staff. Bathtub didn’t drain properly and the rooms have zero noise proofing so when drunken guests are carrying in in the hallways at 3:15 AM the only option is to call the front desk for the third time and have them send up the security person again. Slept the worst I ever have at a hotel. Also no recycling bins in the rooms.

The stay started out rough with the lady at the front desk being most unhelpful when asking for early check in. She wouldn’t even look at the computer before saying no until I asked her to check. I don’t even think she actually checked. I went back twice and it was the same unhelpful attitude from her. I’ve never experienced this type of attitude at any hotel when looking to check in a little early. They usually really try even calling the cleaning staff, but I got the feeling this person had no interest in checking me in until she absolutely had to. So I ran to the nearby GoodLife to shower and get ready for my meeting. Luckily it wasn’t too far.
Once I was able to check in it was other staff at the front desk and they were very friendly. I was slipped complimentary breakfast for my two day stay after I arrived in my room which made up for the unhelpful front desk lady at the beginning.
After that my stay was wonderful. The breakfast staff was fantastic, I had some phone issues and the manager went above and beyond to get me a new room and makeup for the inconvenience which I truly appreciated.
The view from my room was so beautiful both in the morning and evening.
Overall, I highly recommend and I would stay there again.

We arrived around 5pm & keep in mind check-in was for 4pm. We got there & they let us know our room was not ready. They offered us a different room but we paid for the room we wanted so we decided to wait the 30-45 minutes they asked us to wait. Upon coming back in to check-in, they let us know it was ready. However, it took them about 10 minutes to discuss with house keeping if it was ready, and we also discovered there was about 6 other people in the lobby that were waiting for their room to be ready ! Once getting to our room, there was garbage in front of our door from what seemed to be the past guests. Room looked clean & was alright. But was extremely upset about the room not being ready on time, as well as feeling like it was a waste of a night away due to getting into the room so late.

Nice and clean hotel, excellent service from the staff. They also did something special for our anniversary. Lot of options in breakfast. A little expensive for it being waterfront and parking is $30 per night.

Nothing. I would never stay at this Holiday Inn again. The rooms were cold. No hot water. The hallway was filled with hockey tournament parents children. The parents were drinking. The children were playing very loudly in the hallway. We let the Holiday Inn staff know. They were not able to control the group they refused to leave the hallway. Unbelievable behaviour and unbelievable that the hotel did not enforce or manage this group. We will not be coming back.

Very noisy downtown on a Friday night and the front lobby doors were locked when we arrived at 11:30pn we had to buzz to be let in. It leaves a feeling of “ what are you protecting us from?”

I like the location. It was very convenient for our Kingston Gran Theatre tickets. For the most part all is clean and pleasant. The meal we had in the evening was fine. The room we were allocated is in need of upgrades. The heating unit inn our room wasn't working. They replaced it within the hour with another one that also failed 2 hours later. They moved us to another room that was ok except the plug in the sink wouldnt open so we had to prop it open with tooth picks. So no complaints about the staff but not all that happy with the quality of the room.

business trip for two nights, overall great experience; check-in and service great. room clean, bed most comfortable.
Only critique is cost of breakfast as in most hotels. But was almost twice the price as breakfast at Morrisons - a five minute walk.

We loved our room and check in was courteous quick and efficient. It is located in a very convenient location for downtown entertainment and dining options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Price was high and pool area very dated but the parking fee was excessive

My expedia reservation never made it to the hotel system, so even though i had already paid thru the app, i had to stand at the desk for 20 mins while she had to create a new booking and i lost the original room i had booked. Our room's heater wasnt working. Otherwise, everything was clean and bright. Great views and close to all the restaurants and upscale bars. Close to the waterfront trail.

Holiday party with loud music until 12:45am. Staff was not able to monitor or control party; paying customers were subjected in their rooms to extremely loud music up through the 3rd floor of hotel. Hotel staff did very little to fix the issue. Complete disregard for the other paying customers.

The staff was rude and argued about an extra charge that was made on my card. I then proceeded to follow up with a phone call where she gave me misleading information and told me the situation was resolved only to say she was unable to resolve multiple times over the phone. The staff member was very uninviting when trying to resolve the issue.

Liked the location on the waterfront. The view from our room was awesome.
For the amount they charged us, the parking should have been included. Feels like a cash grab.

Loved the beautiful view of the waterfront and very nice room with king bed & bathroom. Liked the fact that a restaurant was at the hotel - very convenient for breakfast.
Thank you, it was perfect accomodations for my daughters graduation at Queens University on November 14th.

Our first room was very dirty - vomit on sliding door, wall and washroom. Smelt terrible BUT no issue to change to a more suitable, cleaner room. Staff were helpful. Hotel is just a bit run down. No noise from other rooms though.

The room I stayed in was very nice and clean but there was a really stale odor coming out of the air conditioning unit and I had to turn it off. It should be checked. Room 535.
It is a convenient spot and the sunrise this morning was so beautiful.

Our stay was awful. The condition of the property is drab and in need of renovation. Our air conditioner unit was left open with no screws and the shower smelled and had black mold (I would add the photos here if I could). The noise from the cleaners and other guests was highly disturbing. There was a team of young adult soccer players running around the place like children aggravating other guests and no one stopped them. Added to this, was a long wait at reception leading out of the door and the service was poor. On checking out they didn’t ask how our stay was, which was probably wise. No way is this worth the money we paid!!!

Average, but did not get invoice copy when leaving.

For an expensive stay of ~800$ a weekend for 2, we were quite displeased to notice that this Holiday Inn had a $parking while others like in Ottawa and Calgary are free for the clients (same company). For an expensive stay of ~800$ a weekend for 2, we were unimpressed that the TV had no free movies and we couldn't even play with our own entertainment with the TV (playstation 3). For an expensive stay of ~800$ a weekend for 2, we were shocked to see that an employee was rude to us when we asked for room service, but when we explained the situation has been resolved and we kindly told the staff it was all good, we were thanked with an eye roll, defensive tone and "yeaaah yeaaah yeaaah" with a hand wave. I remember we were quite upset about it for the rest of our last evening. Clean room, nice view, quiet, felt safe.

Wry convenient location, clean and beds were very comfy. Parking was costly 30.00 a day.

incompetent, rude & disrespectful reception staff and manager. Assigned to Pet floor. Did not check in with a pet! or ask to be assigned to a pet floor. Received abuse when asked to change rooms. NEVER will use Holiday Inn Kingston again or any other Holiday Inn in the future. Dreadful experience.

Meds 78:Reunion
October 13-15,2023
We stayed at Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront with the meds 78 reunion.
The hotel was contracted to provide Abraham for Saturday morning. It was the worst example of brunch I have ever had. Food was cold or stale. May have been out for hours. There was an unattractive tray of sloppy looking eggs Benedict. I had one and it was cold. Anew tray came out so I tried another. It was cold too.
The toasters didn’t work well. We had to push the toaster three times before we could get anything resembling toast. But at least the toast was hot and there was butter and honey and jam in little packets. Hardly the description of a first class brunch! The pastries were stale. I’ll bet the hote charged a lot of money for this disgusting presentation.
The coffee was good!

Clean and modern hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. Rooms were quiet and well-appointed. Parking was easy and the location is terrific. Only note for improvement was the amount of garbage in the parking lot.
