On arrival I asked for a fridge to be placed in my room. Last time I asked it was delivered within 5 minutes, but this time it never arrived. Also the room was not sufficiently cleaned, with the bathroom floor sticky from previous use and cobwebs on the ceiling.

A lovely stay with good facilities, lashing of hot water, a fridge in the room, great breakfast and attentive staff.
My only complaint was the bed was very firm.

Lovely hotel rooms are a little tired but clean and equipped well for a short stay, breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and a lovely restaurant to eat in didn’t use the bar but as the restaurant it looked excellent, all in all an excellent stay close to the family we were visiting

So we stayed as a mum and daughter with my two boys, we had a family room with a double bed , 2 single sofa beds and a cot and there was still plenty of room. The only downside was that the mattress on one of th sofa beds was very uncomfortable and left my mum with a bad back . When we spoke to the receptionist about it the only response we got was oh sorry but they are meant for children. So clearly the expectation was for myself and my mum to share a bed , which we haven't done in a number of years. There could be a vast diverse number of people coming to stay that may not wish to stay in a bed together and the answer to the problem was not acceptable that it's for children only.

Booked a double room with double bed
On arrival I was allocated a single bed ! When I asked why and can I change room to what I booked and paid for I was informed that there are no double bed rooms left and if you book through Hotel.com they see it as a request and not a booking ! What a joke needless to say I won’t be staying here again

Very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them, the food in the restaurant was to a high standard and very filling. The communal areas were lovely open and spacious and made our stay very enjoyable. Will definitely stay here again when down this way.

We only stayed for one night and had a very enjoyable experience. The staff were all very polite and helpful. There was a little bit of noise from rooms next door but no more than other hotels we have stayed in but no road noise at all. Over all a very quite stay. Very comfortable beds and very good continental and English breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Clean. Staff could have been a little friendlier but not bad.
Main bed too small for 2 adults, so i the wife slept on sleeper couch. A little uncomfy. But not awful.
Overall brasksfadt was good but often had to ask for cereal or hot choc etc. Not restocked . Would stay again. Good gym !!!

We had a lovely stay- the room was comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and helpful

Reception staff very friendly and welcoming.Cleaning staff although young did an exceptional job.The bath sealant could do with being replaced as would the toilet seat in room120 as discoloured and quite unpleasant. Also although a bigger request a shower with a second lower spray would very much benefit us lady travelers so when refurbishing please bear this in mind. The restaurant staff are also very professional and welcoming with the chef taking time to enquirer how you are and a very very good breakfast sharing the dining room with all the excited Peppa Pig world visitors puts a smile on your face to start the day.

A busy restaurant in the morning for breakfast ( which is very good). The restaurant manager ( Lucy) is very friendly , professional and clearly has a good grasp on seating guests to ensure a great breakfast experience.

Overall the hotel looks great in the reception and dining areas.
The decor in the halls and rooms was a little dated but still okay.
The staff were brilliant and very nice and knowledgeable.
The cooked food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner.
Kids eating for free was a definite perk and attraction.
Towels were available to use just for swimming which was good.
The Gym and the gym equipment was fantastic, although there was a mass of personal training going on at too, this didn’t impact the use of machines or free weights.
The negatives:
Swimming required booking but this isn’t stated online
Parking cost £5 a night, which is on the expensive side for a hotel not in a city centre location.
The swimming pool was segregated into lanes. One dedicated to swimming lessons, something not mentioned to guests.
One or two allocated to people wanting to swim “swim lane” and then whatever is left over to the “family area” which at some points was one lanes width with approximately 10 people trying to use this area with kids whilst the “swim lane” which was two lanes width (swim lessons taking the last lanes width) had only 1-3 people in it at a time. This was rather disappointing and would put us off returning when there are other hotels with pools in the immediate area.

I recommend this hotel so much! It's in a great location, it has everything that we needed and the staff is superb they are friendly and helpful and made us feel great. I don't often see hotels so thoughtful of their customers. Staying there was like staying in a place which has ticked off all the boxes that over the years I was thinking about that other hotels were lacking or had it great. There was only one disadvantage for us- the extra sofa bed in the room was actually a chair with terrible mattress-. However helpful staff helped us to resolve this issue to our satisfaction. I would love to come back, but next time I will book I will have to make sure that the room has proper 3 beds.

Hotel ok, restaurant like cafe in Asda but 3 times the price and they just lost a customer when they charged me to park in the car park when i had just paid £100 to stay there and left £60 in the restaurant.

We have used this hotel for putting up family and friends when we lived nearby. So Hotel is as good now as was then being welcoming, friendly. We enjoyed our stay and breakfast and dinner in both nights with staff very attentive and food enjoyable. We would next time request twin bed room as beds a bit small for us and mattress sift si when one mi ed we both moved but we know that personal choice so accepted this time. Busy with families over Easter holidays but you’d expect that with so much to do in 20 mile radius for families and in holiday times it’s great value. We use a number of local hotels when we need to travel back to this area for work and family visits and this is on par with any my chosen favourites. Good place to stay and recommended. Watch out though for the £5 parking per night.. not quite sure why necessary at weekends with families and visitors.? Understand for weekday business use as car park could be used to leave cars for workers but weekends overnight charges .? Really not necessary and maybe a rethink on that would be a good idea…
