Horrible experience and a very uncomfortable night! There was a noise and people yelling and fighting next to our room, and cccconstantly bunch of people and kids running in the hallway from 10 pm until 2 am in the morning. I called 2 times and the hotel did nothing, until I heard door slamming next to our room and woman screaming, I called again the hotel desk and told them I will call 911 if they don't do something, then they end up sending security person and after that the police show up as well. They could have taken care of this from around 10 pm but it took four hours to fix it, we couldn't sleep that not and felt unsafe.
One advice to the management, install a camera in every floor hallway next to the elevators, in this case you will have a better version on what is going on in the hallway in case of security problems, like what happened that night.

Great location and close to all major tourist attractions( by car). There’s a mall at 10 mins walking distance. Our room had a kitchen and a dining area which was very convinient. Breakfast was good as well. The hotel is old though and definitely needs some renovation but is good enough for the price.

Older hotel but clean and beds we’re comfortable, free breakfast was adequate.

The receptionist was not friendly and seemed like I was annoying her by being there.
The first room we walked into was hot and stuffy. I tried to turn on the air conditioner but was unable to adjust it. We saw a housekeeper in the hall and asked for her assistance. She was also unable to make it work so called maintenance who went through the same process. He determined the unit needed to be replaced. He was kind enough to go to the front desk and get us another room. He came back promptly with the new keys and room number.
The room we finally settled in was nice until I had to use the bathroom. The toilet paper holder was so dar away from the seat that it was pulling out of the wall from repeated pulling for paper. The picture frame was falling apart. The fan did not work. The edges of the floor were dirty and there was red mold on the shower head.
The bed was comfortable and there were ample pillows.
All the other reception people were very kind and helpful.

We were in town to see our daughter who goes to college there. The hotel is nice the rooms were clean but the fidge had food and water left from previous occupants. There were 3 elevators. Two worked when we checked in. By the second day only one was working. Other than those 2 things our stayvwas great. The breakfast was good. I wish they would have kept it open until 10 or 11 it gets extremely busy.

Needs major improvements.
Rooms very worn, but clean. However, we were there six days and didn’t get housekeeping for three of them.

All in all it was a great stay, the hotel is a bit old but confort and location are great! Close to the capital, easy access to metro and from there, 15 minutes to the National Mall. Such an amazing view from the breakfast room and from the rooms with capital view. We will definately come back and we do recomand it

The a/c unit went out/froze late at night, called the front desk and they were going to send someone up to fix it, 30 min later I called back to the front desk and they had forgotten. Then told me to wait an hour for the unit to unfreeze. I said I didnt think the unit would unfreeze within an hour, and if I could go ahead and move rooms since it was late at night. They said no, then called me a few minutes later and moved my room. I got moved to a less desirable room, and I wasnt compensated in any way for the inconveniences. I found the front desk/management to be very inexperienced in hospitality.

Comfortable and spacious. A bit tired. Breakfast was ok. Beds were nice. Kitchen didn’t have any cleaning supplies or glasses. Asked front desk but he was useless and didn’t attempt to get even some plastic ones.., lamps need replacing. One was broken, other worked intermittently and was missing a light bulb. Stayed 3 nights but room was never cleaned once during stay or fresh sheets. Good area though and safe and secure which was important. 3 1/2 stars.

The refrigerator in the room made clanking noise all night long. It’s not so bad during the day but very annoying at night.

The hotel is older but very well maintained. The sheets and bed were heaven! And my suite had enough room for a family. It was a quick uber ride over to DC so very convenient. I will stay there the next time I'm in the area!

Great hotel, location and breakfast. I wish parking was included with the stay… I also wish there was a hair dryer in the room. Otherwise, an awesome hotel!

I live not far from this hotel, but I often rent rooms here for out-of-town clients. The rooms are spacious; it's reasonably priced; and, the breakfast is among the best at any hotel at which I've stayed. The staff is very friendly, too!

Property is old but will do. They will charge $15 for parking per night in addition to the Expedia price. FYI, you won't be able to change room if you book through Expedia. Limited amenities.

Easy walk to subway (up hill though). The property is definitely dated but I thought it was well kept. Breakfast had good options.

Booked a "Suite" that in the Expedia description was meant to be a seperate bedroom and not the "Studio" Efficiency room that was cheaper. So paid a premium. But got to check-in and Expedia booked the Studio so had paid extra for nothing. The staff didn't want to help as it was Expedia's problem. Expedia wanted the hotel to give a refund and neither were budging. In the end nothing and I'm out of pocket. Just book the standard room as it's well confusing.
Internet was dodgy and every 8 hours logged you out and was a pain to sign in again. Got a majurana smoker on the floor above that permeated to our room at 10pm, but staff were helpful to get this resolved.
The rooms are dated but large. The place is well worn so be warned! Breakfast is standard affair and place is conveniently located to DC and local restaurants within 15 min walk.
Other than the booking issue it's fine for a couple of nights but if you want a more up to date place stay elsewhere.

The night time clerk wasn't very friendly but Asia who I spoke to earlier in the day was very friendly. Room was missing ice bucket.

1 out of the 4 front desk people I interacted with was pleasant and didn’t seem upset by having to put their phones down and talk to me. The trash from the previous guest was still in the room after we checked-in. The carpet was threadbare in multiple places and clearly had been re-glued down along the kitchen border. For two adults and an infant- two bath towels for use during the week stay was not adequate. The dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes so we had to buy dish soap to clean them. Breakfast was mediocre- bagels a little stale and fresh fruit was pre-cut so the apples were browning and oranges had evidence of being used across multiple days. Room cleaning was only once a week (on Fridays) for guests staying a week or more. One of the access doors had the key reader access device missing (looked broken off) so you had to walk all the was to the other side of the hotel to enter from the parking area. Overall- not worth the price. It was conveniently located though.

I knew the hotel from a friend who has stayed there for years so I was confident it would be a good place. The rate was extremely reasonable for the quality of the room. A wonderful breakfast buffet is complimentary. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff was courteous but no very friendly. There were no newspapers available for guests and nowhere to purchase in the hotel - had to drive to get to nearby restaurants. TV set very small and decor is very old-fashioned. Breakfast is ok but ends too early (9AM). Fruit bowl is unacceptable - apples and oranges were quartered but not cored, bananas were old.

The hotel is very run down. My room had rips in the carpet, outlets were loose, common areas smelled smokey, the lamp in my room didn't work. Extra door latch in my room was loose. Breakfast was decent. Beds were pretty comfortable.

the ability to walk and enjoy the surrounding area. not a long drive to most neighboring cities and sites.

Check in customer service was good and so was check out. There are some staff I didn't care for midday. Hotel has own carryout food service delivered to room. Good samosas. Rooms with kitchen and refrigerator.

I had a gathering in my room and security kept knocking on the door. There were several parties on the same floor a few doors down from us but they wasn't bothered

The hotel was very clean. It has a couple things that needed fixed though. There was an automan that my kids really wanted to sit on, but whenever they did one of the legs would fall out, and the silverware drawer in the kitchen wouldn't stay in the drawer slides. The breakfast was great, and the beds were comfortable, so overall good, just a couple little annoying things.
