Nice clean room; Comfortable bed…

The entire hotel smelt of weed. The smell traveled into our room eventually. The bedding on the hide-away smelt like weed and not even sure what else. The hot tub has some slimmy film on the top and was not even filled past the jets so we did not use the pool area at all. Not much of a selection for breakfast for kits. The hallways on the main level smelt again of weed and fish. The bar on a Saturday night closed at 9pm when there was people in there drinking.

We asked for a pool side room instead and they switched up with no problem and no other fees.The only downside to that is our room was next to the entrance to the pool and the door slams shut. The hot tub needs service it wasn’t hott and the worker kept putting Hott water in it from a hose , water level kept going down while in it/out. The water pressure in the bathroom was too much and intense it could peel paint off the wall by the force in which it was coming out. Nice hotel but could use some much needed upgrades and deep cleaning. The walk to our original room was in the back of the hotel and it smelled like weed throughout the hotel.

We had to cancel, staff extremely gracious when I had to cancel. Our fishing trip was cancelled because of iffy ice.

Pool is closed

The hotel did have a sign up saying they were remodeling. There was work being done in the front lobby, but I did not see any work being done anywhere else. Pool was closed, but I was not told that when I checked in. I was told to access my room through exterior door B, but the security lock did not work after repeated attempts. I located door C, which was broken and would not close. The door on my room had to be pulled in or it did not lock. The bathroom is very small, and there was no caulk around the shower insert. Wallpaper under the sink in the room was coming off. The interior wall finishing is very dated and did not match the comforter. Burn in carpet outside the bathroom (non-smoking room). Vent in the wall between the bed and bathroom was visibly dirty. The toilet ran periodically. Bed was OK, but will hopefully get a new mattress in remodel. Portable wardrobe leaned to one side. No luggage caddie. Did have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Thermostat on HVAC wall unit seemed to keep room above indicated temperature. Breakfast was average, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and biscuits and gravy, cereal, bread items, yogurt and fruit. Plastic juice glasses were approximately 3 oz. each. No recycling receptacles, but they did have wall mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, soap etc.They do have a room that was converted to a lounge with "light dinner" but arrived too late to participate.

The hotel was alright but didn’t know the hot tub didn’t work, the breakfast was basically nonexistent when we tried to go down. Tried to plug my phone into one of the outlets and it threw sparks. They are remodeling so hopefully it’ll get better.
