The outdoor area and views were beautiful and breathtaking. The food was very good. The live nightly entertainment was outstanding. The room was average and in need of some updating/remodeling. The balcony view was relaxing and tranquil.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Hilton Rose Hall over spring break. There was plenty to do on-site between the pools, lazy river, beach, golf, spa, and other ammenities. The property is clean overall. (Reserve your pool seats early, they go quick!)
Pros: Nice, clean location very convenient to Montego Bay airport. Gorgeous views of the ocean and you feel like you're in paradise. The breakfast buffet was excellent, we enjoyed that daily. We had dinner reservations all but the first night, the food was decent. Drinks were yummy and readily available.
Cons: Customer service was very lacking before and during our stay. It took me many international calls to obtain the shuttle from the airport to the location. I eventually had to get an email address because concierge was never available and was waiting until the day before arrival whether I had a ride or not. Also, we needed items during our stay for our room and had to make multiple calls to receive them.
We attended the lobster fest (additional $175 charge), and aside from the lobster, it was the same food as the buffet the night before. The Michael Jackson show was fun that was part of the evening.
I booked a spa facial and was charged an additional $60 in service fees that wasn't advertised or explained, aside from it not being the tip.
Our room was fine, beds were comfortable, but the bathroom needs a total gut. The tub had porcelain repair on top of rust.
Overall, we had a great time and would stay here again.

We paid a 5-start pricing over spring break for what was supposed to be a 4-star hotel that was renovated in 2021. Even billing this as a 3-star hotel would have been horribly disappointing. If we had paid much less and went in expecting a 2-start hotel we could have reconciled the 50-year old condition. It was like staying in a soviet building by the beach. I am shocked that Hilton is even willing to keep their name on the resort, let alone the liability it presents from a safety standpoint: emergency exit stairways with rusted off handles, cracking balcony supports (think Miami condo collapse), hallways that had not been vacuumed in weeks, crumbling drywall, ripped carpet, corrosion anywhere you found metal, lifeguards that were MIA, and paper-thin walls. And you ought to bring hundreds in one dollar bills, because every interaction with staff brings the expectation for cash tips. Directions to the bathroom...tip. Info on children's activities...tip. Making change in order to tip...tip. This created an awkward experience, especially when being served hockey pucks for steaks, the lowest end beer and liquor possible, and staying in a rundown resort. If you are used to staying in hostels and could find a cheap way to stay here in the off-season it might be what you are looking for, but it was a horribly bad experience for us and our two kids. Final thought is that the odds of getting injured here are high, and health care is non-existent. Don't risk it!

First trip to Jamaica and we felt lucky to have discovered the Hilton Rose Hall, all-inclusive! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the property was large and had plenty of dining options and activities.
We will definitely return!

I chose to stay at this resort during my bday trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica recently because I had such an awesome experience at the GORGEOUS Hilton in Cabo for my 2022 Bday trip. Also, the fact that this one is an All inclusive resort was very appealing to me!
SOOO, Here we go, I'll start with the PROs:
PROS:
1.Most staff members here are pretty friendly and professional!! Which is very refreshing!
2. Gorgeous ocean view from Oceanfront rooms!
3. ALL INCLUSIVE!! Drinks and food!! 24hr buffet, 24hr In-Room dining Service and 8 onsite restaurants to dine at!
4.The common areas appear new and well kept. (Cant say the same about the rooms)
5. Spa and gym onsite.
6. Tasty Jamaican style breakfast!
7. Spacious rooms with comfy beds and pillows. Linen was also clean!
8. Free live entertainment at night.
9. The manager Tonya at Rum Factory is a gem!!
Cons:
1. The rooms were not as nice or up-kept like the Cabo location. Rooms are in need of fresh paint and grout in many areas.. I switched rooms once and the 2nd room was slightly better than the 1st.
2. Balcony furniture was shabby and needs to be replaced immediately. Had to wipe them down prior to using.. but all my wiping could not get rid of the stains and dinginess..
3. Walls are extremely thin..so forget about a sound sleep if there are noisy ppl in the surrounding rooms.
4. No activities aside from recreational activities like volley ball and golf.
5. Marlene in in-room dining is rude and unpleasant most of the time.

The rooms need a MAJOR UPGRADE, along with that carpet in the halls!!

Did not like that reservations were needed at restaurants and additional charges applied. I was never able to reach front desk by phone and always had to stop by front desk to make my requests. All requests were fulfilled within 45 minutes which was acceptable to our needs.

The property was clean and the staff was pleasant. The rooms were nothing to brag about. The rooms were not as luxurious as the property. The food was OK. The bathrooms definitely need an upgrade.

We loved it, definitely would go back. The food is definitely cultural fair, would have liked a few more bland options, however, it would not stop me from returning to the same resort.

We were very happy with over all stay except that the front desk was little unwilling to help us with an issue we had with our luggage. Bedsides that everything was Good

Everything was excellent, from the food, activities and drinks. The only problem was check-in. It took about 45 minutes to get our rooms key..

Some of the staff need the appropriate training on customer service. My experience wasn’t a pleasant one and I will not be staying there again. The rudeness outshined the little staffs that would have made the trip pleasant. I purchased items from the gift shop and the cashiers were discussing shoes and hair as I waited to cash out my items. I’ve had staff told me to get off the toilet while using it so they could clean it. I’ve traveled to many hotels and this by far was the worst. I will never book this Hilton hotel again and even if I’m getting a treat to stay for free I would never go. The best part of my trip was the food.

Buffet lacked in food options, especially for children. Would recommend making reservations at other restaurants on the resort upon arrival. We tried to make reservations daily and no availability.
Staff is wonderful!

Very nice staff, did not have premium liquor or enough inside bars

I have stayed at this property multiple times and really do enjoy coming here. As a parent with a toddler, there are a lot of activities for the little one. There's a kids club, a playground, pool, lazy river, Jacuzzi. I really enjoyed being able to walk around the property and enjoy the scenery with my little one. If you get a chance walk the golf course or is beautiful.

The property was beautiful. The staff was great. We did, unfortunately, have a very noisy family next door who argued nearly every waking hour. We called down to guest services and were told that they would have security assess the situation but nothing changed.

First time in jamaica and honestly i was super disappointed with the resort. Food bad

I enjoyed my time. The food was beyond my expectations. The service was consistently excellent. The beach and pool were nice and I loved the East Beach option for a quieter time. The drinks selection (quality) and rooms coupe use improvement. I beleieve the rooms were renovated, but they still are pretty old and the AC unit is loud when it comes on. I am impressed how clean the rooms are, despite the wear and tear.

I took my granddaughter to the Hilton/Montego Bay to celebrate her 23rd birthday. Our overall experience was great in terms of activities. We had a ball! However, I rated the hotel lower in terms of cleanliness of the room. When we arrived there was a half roll of toilet tissue in the bathroom. I waited three hours for them to bring toilet tissue. We were also locked out of our room on two separate occasions. When housekeeping left out of the room, the door latch/bolt locked from the inside and locked us out of the room. We also had to call to request clean bath cloths and towels. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and plan on returning.

Staff were not friendly. Needed assistance with the safe in the room and they acted as if it was an inconvenience and not a good time.

Beach is full of seaweeds, water is discolored.
The lazy pool was the best feature.
Rooms are dated.
Food was delicious?
Staff were incredible nice.
I wouldn’t say it’s $500 a night.

Most of the staff were VERY friendly and courteous. Especially Oneil, who carried a rake on the beach and scrounged-up some cigarettes for my gf. She was supposed to be quitting but couldn't do it, so he helped. The room was clean and comfortable and the drinks were usually mixed quite strong. No need to leave the property, but I recommend taking the free shuttle to Rose Hall Main Street for some decent shopping, just try to avoid the cruise ships and you'll have the place to yourself. The food was generally decent but nothing to get excited about; a little on the bland side. The best meal I had was at Moonstone.

The food is really good. Most of the staff are welcoming and friendly but there are a few that could stand to learn the Hilton standards...like the main pool bartender...ehem
The facilities were ok and the disco left a lot to be desired but alcohol choices were on point. They are a good property with thoughtful and competent staff. Two pools for the fun or chill at heart and enough beach front to satiate the keenest beach lover.

The staff was extremely nice and food was great

I liked that they had a variety of different food options. All of the hotels staff were very nice. My room was cleaned daily. I didn't like that the hotels outside water amenities was none. Hotel stated it would have outside snorkeling and other things. This was a no. I also think that the teens game room could have more games and activities. This room is big enough to have so much more.

Please please please do not stay here. Save yourself the time ans money. I know the name says "Hilton", but this place is CRAP. The room is equivalent to a 2 star hotel in America. We were switched twice between rooms because the water pressure in the shower was so bad at times no water could come out.
The staff is rude. Its as though they hate their job. Eveey now and again, you may run into a staff mbr that is helpful with a great attitude, but that happened 2 out of every 10 interactions with staff. Theh stay was so uncomfortable for myself and my family (we were in 3 separate rokms, we opted to go home (in Canada) early.
The beach is completely filled with seaweed. We paid over $300USD just to go to a better beach off the resort. That day excursion to that beach in Negril was the only good thing from the trip.
The food was 2 or 3 out of 5. It depended on the day.
For context, this was my 6th trip/vacation of the year and the only one that was bad from the moment we entered the lobby. My mother, who has very low standards said she was so sorry she ever soent any money to be there. My guess is this resort was likely amazing 30yrs ago, but noe it is rundown and extremely dated with staff who clearly hate to be there.
