Nice, clean hotel. Soft bed and good shower. That’s all I needed

Good for an overnight stay as close to airport and free shuttle.

love the young man at the dask the night we checked in.

A missed connection at Miami airport required a unplanned overnight. The hotel is too close to the end of a runway.

The room was small., There were no hangers for clothes there was no luggage rack for suitcases, not enough trash cans only enough towels for one person to take a shower once per day. The breakfast food was awful nothing was marked, and there were no condiments

It was your typical airport hotel. Nowhere near the nicest La Quinta and nowhere near the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. It could use a full renovation but for 1 night prior to a cruise, it was a slam dunk option. The bathrooms could use a major overhaul but other than that, it was just fine for what it was. Given the price I paid, I would go back again but I will always consider spending a tick more and getting something much nicer and closer to the port.

We were only there one night, however, the room condition was horrible. The room was dirty, the beds were horrible. The key to our door wouldn't work, we had to go to the front desk twice to get new ones. They were not helpful and basically said it was user error. Since we were only staying a night before going to our next hotel, we slept on the top of the sheets and left as early as we could.
The front lobby was packed with guests waiting for rooms.

Was in Miami for our Business Leadership School so the room was just what we needed

Paid for the room a year ago, meeting up with other cruise passengers at the same hotel. La Quinta cancelled half of ours or tried charging us double when we checked in. They told me I never paid when my email shows I in fact did pay a year ago in advance

Just a one night layover.

The hotel was very nice. They have a nice pool and large lobby. They told us about the tram that was free and secure. Police inside and outside. We met a friendly Muslim lady who went above and beyond to get us into a restaurant (very late) The room was big with a separate area for the suitcases. The only thing I didn’t understand is to why they did not have more tables in the breakfast area. We found 2 seats at the bar but other people were not so lucky. The breakfast was decent.

The staff were really kind however there was a huge problem with people walking the halls and hanging out at the hote even though they were not staying there. People were trying to sell stuff and were sliding flyers under my door during the night for pizza and other things. I had one guy literally open my door and try to sell me something. He was not speaking English so I don’t know what he was doing but he had no business being there and should not have tried to open my door. It didn’t latch very well so I had to use hangers to keep it secured. There was also a huge problem with people smoking cigarettes and weed inside the hotel all night long. The people across the hall from me were partying I guess and I woke up in the middle of the night in a cloud of weed smoke and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I was going to grab the phone in the room and call the front desk to complain but there was no phone in the room. The staff were super kind like I said but they are not equipped to handle this kind of stuff and there was no security. It’s really bad.

A little aged but reasonably clean. The beds were comfortable. Service was not great; they declined to break a $20 for me. Parking is available but be prepared to walk a bit, as the spaces near the front are full 24/7. Limited TV options. We never got the free breakfast because it was mobbed every day.

The fitness center is a closet. Could not get Wi-Fi. The room was too warm and couldn't turn it down. Airplane noise could be disturbing for some

There was no pre warning of fire alarm testing so the whole morning guests were bothered continuously by alarms. The breakfast times were also miss communicated to customers. So we missed breakfast completely.

Wasnt impressed by the hotel at all. Our stay was made worse by the fact the receptionist used a dodgy taxi who charged us $40 for a trip that should have only cost $16 to $20

The rooms are OK but not very clean and there is some questionable substance on the walls. The Wi-Fi does not work at all. I tried to ask the Front Desk staff for assistance but no one speaks English -- you are supposed to be directed to a website to connect but it does not work and keep receiving an error message that the line is not a secure connection. There are absolutely no restaurants or shopping close by -- the Front Desk staff also told me Sorry but there's nothing and showed me an ad for a food truck. On top of that, absolutely no security as there are vagrants roaming the halls and skipping food flyers under the room doors.
Had to change room keys 4 times because they would not work. Front Desk advised to pull door toward you tight so it was flush with frame and then try card. Perhaps they need new, more secure doors? Witnessed at least 6 other guests with same issue who also exchanged for new keys 3-4 times. We also had plumbing issues with the toilets and had to ask for a plunger. It seems the toilet paper is too thick to flush, so flush your #1 or #2 first and then the paper or don't flush the paper at all. There is a lack of electrical sockets in the rooms and the ones that are there are faulty. We have learned many trades on our two-night stay here. Upon exiting the room on check out day, there was a homeless man was sleeping near the ice machine on the 2nd floor..again absolutely no security measures. They need to update the entire hotel!!

The stay atn La Quinta Miami Airport East was solid and satisfactory. My only issue is value for the price, afterall its an airport hotel, but it was very comparable to other locations in the area for the weekend.

Close to the airport is great and it does what you need for cheap. However we went to take a shower and the walls had someone else’s hair on it. It looked like the shower had not been clean. The morning staff was quite short with us when trying to ask some questions.

The hotel is very tired and run down. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

Check in was easy. The guy taking care of us was really nice. We stayed on the first floor and was pleased to see that there was no carpeting in the room. The bed was very comfortable. It was clean.
The hotel provided a free breakfast in the morning which was nice and convenient. The sitting area was clean and welcoming.
Our only complaint is that we noticed a huge leak in the ceiling of our room which appeared to be dry at the time. However, the musky smell was overwhelming and strong. I ended up sleeping with a face mask on because of it.
We left very early in the morning to catch a flight, so when we checked out, I wanted to inform the front desk of the bad smell, but there wasn't anyone at the front desk.
This hotel is very close to the Miami Airport. There are no restaurants close by. We ate at the Embassy Suites Hotel which had a restaurant and a bar.
If you need a place to sleep before an early morning flight out of Miami, I recommend this place.

We booked this hotel after missing a connecting flight. We didn’t have to chance to check out the amenities, but the staff were very friendly and the hotel was descent for the price

Airco was almost nonexistent. On a cool night, it generated more noise than cooling. Fairly sure I won't be using La Quinta Airport East again.

I liked the hotel except for the cargo train passing every day and a plane overhead from time to time. I thought that the hotel was fine. Their breakfast wasn’t bad although I kept waking up after breakfast hours were done so I only had it once. It is very busy I must say that. I wouldn’t mind staying there again because it was convenient and the staff is friendly. The only issue that I have is that while it is a predominantly Hispanic area, it would be really nice to have more bilingual house keeping staff as it was a bit hard to explain to them what I needed. Other than that it’s not bad at all.
