We were coming in late for a quick overnight stay. We were greeted by friendly staff. After confirming our reservation, we were informed we needed $100 cash for a damage deposit. Entering our room, the thermostat was not working, the fire alarm was hanging from the wall by wires, and the room and bedding smelled like marijuana. The hotel advertised a breakfast but that was not available, not even hot water. I believe this is the last time we will stay at a Baymont hotel.

The hotel clerk was nice. We had a little confusion with the reservation but we laughed n worked it out. I wasn't too sure how the room would look being that the hotel is obviously being remodeled but once I opened the door to my room I was extremely satisfied. I'm all about cleanliness n that's exactly what I walked into. I would definitely reserve at this hotel in the future

Staff was wonderful. They are renovating, so some stuff is outdated but it was a great stay for the price.

The room was not clean. The bed was not comfortable. The chairs were not clean which was fabric. Overall it was terrible.

A complete lie on their booking page. Entire place under construction, no breakfast, no workout room, our microwave was broken, the fridge froze all of our food on the first night, place was a mess, and they have a sudden cash deposit requirment that you can pull out at their ATM for a 5$ extra fee just to scam you as much as possible, no daily room turn, tv didn't have a remote, pool was dirty and covered in used towels. Total rip-off.

They wanted a $100 fee in cash, and it was never mentioned on the phone about an additional fee.

Hotel was below average, but for the price you get what you get. Stayed for one night visiting family. Room was clean, but desk chair was all ripped up and you could see where a picture should have been hanging on the wall but was there for some reason. Furniture / night stands had a lot of wear and tear on them visibly. One thing that caught us off guard was the requirement of a $100 cash only refundable deposit. Hotels.com states $100 debit, credit or cash deposit, not cash only. Sign at the front desk gives notice to this refundable deposit requirement of cash, but then had a sign next to that one stating "No Cash Refunds" which made us feel something was off or wrong. Carrying no cash with us when traveling and only using credit cards, we were forced to use their ATM in the lobby and pay its $4 fee to get the $100 cash for deposit. Maybe it's a way for this hotel to generate more revenue? Not the friendliest policy when states else wise on hotels.com for this establishment.

This hotel should be taken off your list. Pool, hot tub under construction for over 2 years. No in room coffee as advertised, no breakfast, not even coffee. Had to ask for coffee and they gave us some from back. Very unwelcoming. Construction material in lobby. Also need $100 DEPOSIT IN CASH. Luckily we could come up with enough. Never stay here again. Room very clean.

For being a pet friendly hotel, I was asked not to bring my dog through the lobby at check in. Was put in a second floor room and then had to be moved to another room because they were remodeling. Phone did not work, there was graffiti on the elevator door, sheets and chairs were stained, walls were dirty in the bathroom with hair and toilet paper. The fridge had dirty ice in it, coffee maker was broken. The drawers smelled bad. No pool or breakfast available because of renovations.

Property advertises a pool, hot tub and breakfast in the morning. They did not have any of that. We were told that the pool is being renovated and the hot tub hasn’t worked in years. And nobody bothered to explain why there wasn’t breakfast.
The hotel was dirty and had a weird smell. Like a wet animal. The only saving grace was that the bed was comfortable.

We arrived at the hotel and after finding our reservation they told us we had to have $100 in cash to put on hold in case we damaged anything in the room. I told them I had no idea and wouldn't have accepted that if I had known. I was willing to give them my credit card but the young man said he couldn't accept a credit card. After asking to speak to the manager, I was told the manager was not available and that the young man did not have a phone number for him. I asked what he would do in case of emergency as if a pipe should burst and the rooms flooded. He said he w.ould get ahold of maintenance and they would contact the manager. I said well call the maintenance and have them ask the manager to call into the office. He acted as if I was putting him in the middle of a rock and hard place. I was because the manager should have been there to handle this issue or made himself available to his staff. After 15 mins he allowed us to stay for the one night. That was all we were booked for. The room was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. It was suppose have a breakfast but because of all the renovation materials in the breakfast room, they couldn't do that. I know that Wyndam is a better corporation than what was being presented in Flint MI.

It was horrible all around.

The description of the hotel says it’s close to the Flint airport. It’s 15 minutes away, not five. Upon check-in, it’s mandatory to provide $100 cash deposit. This was a first, I’ve always use my credit card for deposit. The motel is DIRTY! I’d suggest you don’t remove your socks because the floors are gross. There’s mold above the shower, there’s no breakfast buffet, and they’re doing loud construction in the pool area till 1130 at night.

This place is very run down and dirty. We planned a weekend in Frankenmuth, arrived late Friday night after driving 5 hrs. The place was disgusting and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Woke up Saturday, checked out, fighting to get refund. All other reasonable priced accommodations booked so we left back to Chicago Saturday.

Only plus was proximity to the Cracker Barrel. There were holes in shower surround, sanitary pad wrapper in bathroom, had to sleep at foot of bed due to decline level near headboard. Woke in middle of night to sound of water dripping out of bathroom ceiling light.

According to the website they have free continental breakfast but they do not offer breakfast at all. I only chose this hotel because we like to have a breakfast before we head out for the day. Also when we first arrived our toilet wouldn't flush. I also didn't like the lack of outlets available in the room to charge our devices.

Very disappointed with everything! Staff when available (advertised as 24/7) was anything but helpful. Stepped out for dinner came back to see to ladies in handcuffs in lobby as another police unit pulled in. Later witnessed drugs and money being removed by cops just down the hall from our room. Breakfast “advertised as free” was not available. Nothing was available but half eaten good in fridge if lobby. Did I mention we had to pay 100 cash deposit when checking in? Advertised as cashless facility and only accept debit or credit. Phone didn’t work in room, fridge didn’t work in room, hairdryer didn’t work in room. Told maintenance would be down.. never came and never heard from anytime. When I told staff I would be contacting corporate her response was “ok would you like their card?”

I was very let down to hear that when walking down for breakfast and hearing that no employees wanted to make the food. Our 2 day stay there was no breakfast!

Staff didnt know what they were doing and were very unprofessio al. The hotel was filthy and run down. No breakfast. Faucet for the sink was coming apart. The window would open all the way but no screen and no lock. We were on the ground floor.

Worst hotel experience in a very long time. Prepaid through Hotels.com and ordered a king bed. They had no king bed rooms available when we arrived so we paid another $8.00 for two beds. That whole process was long and confusing. Then the clerk said we needed to put a $100.00 CASH ONLY deposit on the room for "incidentals". I took a few pictures when we got to the room because it was dirty and the walls were nicked and there was a cigarette burn mark on the bathtub. I tossed and turned all night thinking that the deposit would disappear. Topping our stay was the fact that there was no breakfast in the morning.

Pool and hot tub plus pool area didnt look as if it had been cleaned on quite a while. Disappointed. Continental breakfast not served because person didnt want to come in both days we were there. Bad clientele yelling down hall to check for syringes on the bible.

This is absolutely the worst hotel live ever been too, it should be torn down, the manager from what staff has told me is an as xxxxx, The surprise when we arrived was we had to give a $100. 00 cash deposit, The hot tub jets were inoperable, the pool looked like it had slime green everywhere, holes in carpet, holes in ceilings, breakfast was to be supplied and not, we had no choice but to stay, this honestly should be torn down, the photos on the site are a total misrepresentation of what this hotel is. I would like a full refund and pay for my i convenience and breakfast we had to buy at Cracker Barrel. I certainly hope Windam closes this down and denies this manager any future positions

The rooms were comfortable and the staff was always friendly and helpful. My biggest complaint was the internet had to be signed into several times a day during our week long stay - every time we went out and came back in and also first thing in the morning.

When we first stepped in the hotel it seemed like a nice place to stay until we got to the receptionist, there was a 100 deposit to hold until you checkout which I knew about but thought it would be on the card. When she informed me it was cash I said, “oh it’s cash” which she replied with and aggressive annoyed tone “yes cash. After that we entered the elevator which was trashed and the floor felt weak like it has not been serviced in years. The hall way carpet looked rough, all the doors looked damaged in one way or another. We then entered the room, which really was not bad except the desk chair looked worn like it has not been replaced since the building was build. The entertainment stand that holds the fridge and microwave had a huge dent and broken wood at the bottom right which we took pictures of so that didn’t come out of our deposit. We found weird stains on some of the pillows and sheets that we took off the bed. The blinds had stains that looked like blood. Now for check out. Checking out gets a 5 star, the guy that checked us out was very nice and friendly. The sign says you can’t get the deposit back until 930-12 after housekeeping checks the room but we left at 830 and that gentleman gave us the deposit anyways. I personally would not stay here again.

Would have very much liked to be informed about a $100 cash depoit required upon check-in. Definitely not the most convenient.

I would like a refund. Checked in but left because it was unsafe and dirty. No way I am sleeping there.

Room had no phone and smoke detector was missing with wires hanging on the wall. Lots of nicks and scratches all over the room. My husband took photos immediately upon check-in so we could show we did not damage the room.

The desk chair in the room was already damaged when we got there, and I spent my whole 2 day stay wondering if the staff were going to try to blame me for the damage. The light above the sink worked when we arrived but stopped working by the end of our first night, and the cover of it had been moved like it'd been tampered with.
Also, they require a $100 cash deposit at check-in and they don't mention this anywhere on the website. We were in town for a wedding and most of the guests were unaware and unprepared for this. They kept the cash in envelopes in a drawer that seemed to be unlocked - does not feel very safe.
Surprisingly, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hall was quiet. But our room was right above the pool and the chlorine smell was very strong.

There really isn't much to like! We paid online for our room and then had to pay an additional $100 cash deposit to stay. (Which we got back at check out) We had to ask for towels. There were a lot of different small damages to the room. Their continental breakfast is small. Never once seen a worker beyond the front counter. That included the security person. Overall, wouldn't recommend this to anyone!

I was checking in and told I had to have a 100.00 cash deposit, proceeded to the ATM which was out of service to withdraw the funds. So went and ate dinner then to a gas station to withdraw the money went back finally got into the room went to the pool no towels, went over to the hot tub turned it on just to find out it wasn't working decided to just get in anyways and it was ice cold. So I went back to the room to take a shower and there was some sort of bug crawling on the tub floor managed to kill it, and finally take my shower. This hotel is not clean not a good place for the money you spend.

Manager was rude and irritating. Seemed condescending to women. Need to pay $100 in CASH deposit in addition to the card on file.

Hotel was unclean, smelled like mildew.
