Clean rooms and they are nice and spacious but fridges in all rooms would be nice....

Room was clean. Check in was efficient. Bare bones type of room Toilet was very low without a bar to help a person up.

The hotel rooms have no windows and the rooms smell like cigarette and industrial strength cleaner. It was so horrid i had to leave and stay somewhere else.

Workers were fantastic and helpful. Biggest downfall for us was no mini fridge.

Stayed one night for a concert downtown so this did the trick for what we needed! The service at front desk was great, check in was easy AND they shuttled us to/from the concert downtown which was a HUGE plus for us!! It was clean as other Baymont's I've stayed in.

I have stayed at this hotel before about 5 years ago with no issues so I decided to try it again. They have a shuttle that takes you to places around Detroit which is great for concerts. This time we were staying for a concert at little Caesar’s arena. The room needs some attention. The bathroom door would barely open or close, dirty in some places, not my biggest concerns. My biggest concerns were 1. BED BUGS! We did not notice until we woke up in the morning either. We were laying in bed and found one crawling on out blankets. When we told the front desk they didn’t seem bothered by it! Kind of seemed like they deal with this a lot. No apology, no surprise, just “okay call the manager tomorrow”. This was on a Sunday and was told to call back Monday to talk to the manager. 2. They were fully booked and didn’t have enough parking so we had to park away from the building on the street! That made me really nervous! I know bed bugs can happen anywhere but the fact that it seemed like no was concerned or cared is what got me. The shuttle is great though!

The room was not what i expected at all the tv is very old the shower was lifting where you turn the water on and also when we went to go to our room they were still cleaning it and made us switch rooms where a few moments after two girls walked in our room with there bags horrible experience

Security was bad, outside doors not secured which was not good in a sketchy neighborhood, people hanging around outside smoking weed. Room very dated and worn, not up to Baymont standards

Pictures made it look like a nice hotel. It was really a motel with an enclosed hallway. There was a window next to the bed that gave view to the hallway. It seriously felt like it was set up for creepy peep shows, because as people walked down the hall the could look into you room straight at the bed! The smell of cleaning chemicals was so extremely overwhelming that within minutes of being in the room i became very light headed and got a migraine. The hall smelled like cigarette smoke. The floor and curtains had stains everywhere! I came to the conclusion that i could not stay there without becoming sick.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was very roomy and clean. The king sized bed was comfortable and the bath was very large.
The location was great being near downtown and there were some nearby restaurants including Happy’s Pizza, that I particularly enjoyed.
The staff was nice and parking was free and the price was really reasonable even during the NCAA men’s basketball tournament I attended to watch the Elite Eight.
I highly recommend.

Staff wasn’t friendly and the hotel was creepy

Let me start by saying, this is by far the most disgusting, deplorable, trashiest, embarrassing loathsome, sickening, nauseous, repulsive, revolting, repugnant, abhorrent, detestable hotel have ever stayed in. We checked in at 5am and checked back out at 11am. From the moment we walked in we knew we were in hell, the bed was filthy, the bathroom sink or shower would not drain. I contacted the front desk about the room and they couldn’t, wouldn’t, didn’t accommodate us. I took a 700 dollar loss by checking out with a fine print of “no refunds for cancellation or early checkout.” That is how they get you, robbery! The pictures on the website is false advertising and I will be damned if I ever stay in this hotel again.

I travel a lot for work, so i love a cheap stay but this place was disgusting. There was blood on the walls, someones press on nail on the floor. We had to switch rooms and then change our own sheet because there was visible yellow stains. If it wasnt so late and our only option we would have left. The front desk person was super sweet though.

I will never chose to stay at another Baymont Inn. The tv remote didn't work properly. The towels and wash clothes were dingy and dirty. The bed had stains on the sheets and blanets. The window faced the hallway, which was full of light and noise

The only problem that I had is the lack of accommodations....(ie) no mini fridge or microwave in the room. For $90 a night, one would think that those items would be accessible!

The hotel & the rooms are in need of some work. The young lady at the front desk was amazing. I was only there for one night, so it was ok for that one night. It took about 20 minutes for the hot water to kick in .....

For the price, it definitely is not worth it. The hallways and lobby smell like smoke and chemicals. The room had 3 pillows for each bed, but they were square, like what you get on a coach at home. Very uncomforatble.
The main window in the room was pointing to the hallway, very creepy and it was super loud and bright, even with blinds closed.
The shower facet and head pulled out from the wall loosley, and the water pressure was like dumping small glasses of water on my head to take a shower.

Needs some serious updates in hole facility. And there is no reason for the remote control to be sticky and work a tv from 2004.

Not quite what I expected, I was looking for Downtown and it was a $25 taxi ride to downtown.
The guests fighting outside our room in the middle of the night was very scary. And the hookers terrorising the breakfast area was very unpleasant.

It was gross! There was no hot water, the shower sprayed water everywhere and entire hotel smelt like marijuana! They charged my card an extra $50.00 with no explanation! Very upset with mine and my family’s stay!

Place was absolutely disgusting. Holes in the walls. Shower head broken away from the wall and plastered over. What looked to be blood on the floor. In a very uncomfortable area. The front desk staff was super nice but in no way makes up for the condition of the hotel. We checked in and right back out within 10 minutes. The pictures of the hotel and rooms are no where near what it actually is.

Check in took a lot longer than usual, very friendly young lady behind the counter though. The room we were placed in wasn’t a jacuzzi room like we expected so they easily switched us to one which was nice. The hallways were freezing as we could see a back door propped open for HOURS. The morning of check out I called to ask what the latest we could check out was and was told noon. At 10:58 we had a house keeper BANGING on our door. Very rude. We get up and start to get everything together about 15 min later banging on the door again to which we replied, the front desk told us we could check out at noon. Another 15 minutes later here she comes banging loud as hell again yelling ‘no late check outs today we got a full house’ we made sure to let the front desk know about this experience, and how rude this woman was to us. Other than that part of it, I mean you get what you pay for. A cheap room in Detroit last minute.

Plaster was falling off ceiling while we were sleeping. I didn’t take my shoes off. The floor in the lobby was sticky. Took everything I had in me to stay the night

Positives: check in, cost, location (to downtown), bathroom exhaust fan, carded entry access, comfy beds & pillows, tv channel options
Negatives: shower water doesn't get hot enough, bathroom could've been cleaner, stained towels

Hotel is as advertised.

The blankets and sheets had makeup on them like they were not washed. And the halls were just as cold as outside

The hotel is noticeably old and rough around the edges. But the staff was really nice and breakfast was good. Convenient place to stay for football games.

It was a must stay night. We were in Detroit for a funeral and with the weather we didnt want to chance it going home. Only thing is our blanket got left in the room and i wish they would send it to me. Means the world to me. Its gray and white and really fluffy.

Convenient location for event held at Little Caesar’s Arena. No fridge in room and was in need of a remodel. Comfortable bed. Decent tv channel options. Had to use a hair clip to hold the curtains shut for window next to bed shows indoors hallway view.

The staff was very helpful.. I would choose the place again the next time I visit Detroit
