Slow check-in. No pool towels. Was charged for incidentals that were not mine. Still awaiting on email in the corrected bill statement.

Toilets don’t flush. My parents’ and aunt’s rooms had the same problem. Asked for a cot on first night, was told they’d bring one right up and they didn’t. No one came to restock towels or toilet paper after the first day. Asked for a receipt to prove no additional expenses as was told that if I book through Expedia, I don’t get one.

Extra curtain to keep room dark at night! Train in the background was a noisy distraction!

After a long exhausting day we finally arrived at this hotel only to be told they did not have a room to fulfill our reservation. The clerk at the desk said there was nothing he could do, there were no available rooms in the area and he could not be bothered to offer us any further assistance. We ended up driving almost two hours to the west to finally get a room at 2am. Have never encountered a hotel that sold a room that was already paid for…. The service we encountered was poor and indifferent.

I did not stay here and am awaiting credit info. Reservation was made in haste while tired and traveling- thought Cedar Rapids was much closer. We stayed in Altoona and booked thru Expedia

Arrived at hotel after 5 hours of driving only to find out they had overbooked and no double Queen rooms were available. Ended up with a Queen “executive” suite which had one bed and an uncomfortable sofa bed. Of course we had to make up the bed too when we were exhausted. Very disappointing considering I made the reservation in June.

The staff was nice and professional! The hotel was beautiful and mostly in good condition. It doesn't need some minor updates like the elevator, and some rusty doors. The room was absolutely clean and comfortable!!!

Check-in was a nightmare. Computer sysyem was down, thus we couldn't get room keys for 45 minutes. Fruit and eggs missing from breakfast buffet. TV didnt work. Told to wiggle cable. It worked but proper coaxial cable should have been installed.

I checked in and there was an odd Odor in the room. Nothing horrible, but a musty smell. I didn’t report it: the receptionist wasn’t very professional in several ways. Not rude, just blah.
The second day after I returned to the room, it had not been serviced as was protocol. I spoke to the same receptionist, and she said she would make sure that it got done on day three, ( which it did ). But she should have at least apologized.
I said it wasn’t a big deal, as I was alone, but an apology was in order, IMHO.
The continental breakfast was good.

The Hotel was nice and clean, nice rooms and pool. Breakfast had quite a few options and was good. Will be our new go to when in Crdat Rapids area.

The staff were great as we checked in, morning breakfast crew were fantastic. And as we walked to our room the housekeeping gals were nice and greeted us. The room was clean and relaxing. My only complaint was the humidity in the room made our bedding feel damp. But it has been terribly hot and humid in Iowa. My husband is in a band and they gave us a room at the end of the hall near the side exit. Made it so easy to come in late night and not bother anyone. Will come back for sure!

It was clean and it is situated right off the highway with entrance and exits 1 block from the property. Easy access. Also its proximity to multiple restaurants within 1 block was very good as well as a gas station one half block away was super.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Accessible to eating places and gas stations. very clean place.

When we arrived for check in, the front desk decided to focus on an employee rather than checking us in. I waited at the front desk for around 20 minutes before we could even get checked in. When we got to our room, the window was open and the AC was off. It was so hot in the room. My partner also thought someone had used the bathroom prior to us getting in the room because it didn't seem super clean. The shower also has a stain in it. There was a dead bug in the room, and it just felt dirty. Throughout the nights people would run up and down the halls, scream down the halls, slam doors, and argue in the hall. When it came time to check out the front desk worker was nowhere in sight. And again I had to wait around 15 minutes for them to show up. They gave no clear indication if I had checked out upon handing the keys over, and asked why I was still waiting around. Rude staff and not a very clean facility. I won't be staying at a Holiday inn ever again.

Tina checked us in effortlessly and fast. She was very helpful getting extra towels. Daniela was very accommodating as well. Only complaint was that our room smelled of cigarettes. They offered to move our room, but we just ended up getting some Lysol since we really liked our room. Verbal great property. Third time staying when visiting CR from Los Angeles- won’t be the last.

The room was very bare bones, we had 4 people in our room and were provided no bedding for the pullout couch until we called. Even then they only brought one one extra pillow and blanket. We had to call for a second extra pillow. Our kids got cold in the middle of the night and there were no extra blankets in the room. There were also no sir straws for the in room coffee or a pen to use to write with.

After a horrible experience at a different hotel (which was not a Holiday Inn) down the road, the HIExpress staff made me and my son feel very welcomed. The housekeepers were super friendly, as was all of the front desk staff. The room was clean, the lobby was nice, and I love that they have Dove products in the bathroom. I slept on the hideabed and my son slept on the bed. He said it was super comfortable. I on the other hand sacrificed the discomfort since my son had to play baseball for the next three days. They were out of the double queen rooms, but I was perfectly fine with what we had considering how our trip first started.

The rooms were larger than a typical hotel room. This was a nice feature. The hotel seemed cleaner than others we stayed at.

I thought the room especially the bathroom was not very clean. Hotel itself was ok, the floor was always wet in the main lobby.

For what we paid, this particular Holiday Inn Express wasn't very nice or what I might have expected from a Holiday Inn. Overall, the property was very dated, water leaking in the elevator, a funky odor in the entry way, just not very nice. We just staying in a HIE in O'Neill, NE that was lovely. So, not very consistent between properties.

There was a minor inconvenient with my check-in that hotels.com payment to the hotel but the girl on the reception did everything to solve it and got is in the room very fast!

Run down. Rooms smell bad, like an old room. Towels were not always replaced, but front desk was quick to provide upon request.

There was alot of hallway noise. The heating/ air conditioner kept going on/off all night and the temperature in the room was not maintained during the night. The bathroom sink water pressure was low. The shower head water pressure was intense.

Everything was satisfactory until morning. There was no electricity for the lights in the bathroom. So no hot breakfast. Not the hotels fault but had to buy our breakfast elsewhere.

Our room was right off the elevator and we could hear everything and everyone getting on and off it. The fire alarm went off at 5:15am. We stood outside for 45 minutes. No motel staff apologized or gave us any information. No smoke and 1 fire truck came. Very disappointing.
