I like staying at the Loyalist. I always have convenient and pleasant stays. I did have one problem this time as my shower curtain was missing! But they fixed that for me. I do have a couple of suggestions for the hotel after staying there a few times. - The parking lot is every dark at night. You have lamp posts but all times I was staying there they don’t seem to work at night. The hotel would be best served by fixing these. There are also light fixtures along the building but most are not working as well. A few do, but fixing all this would help maintain the upkeep look of the property. Also, there are some large loose / broken pieces of fence laying around in the front and rear of the building, removing them will help keep the upkeep of the building look. - There is no large and lit up sign out front to advertise the hotel, there should be a sign. I know the hotel is called the Loyalist so it will have some appearance to that in the hotel, but in the rooms there are some chairs and tables that are getting worn out and need replacing. A very small modernization renovation would do wonders for this property. New headboards, chairs and tables in the units stick out to me as quick fixes, and for convienence add in charging station units for cell phones and other devices for staying clients. These are all suggestions. The rooms are still comfortable and fine. The pool is wonderful with sauna area and onsite restaurant.

Room was freezing. Neighbors were very noisy at 3am i had to put on noise cancelling headphones to sleep. I was awoken by an alarm at 6 and 630 i did not set. I was pissed. Youll notice the alarm clock unplugged. Then housekeeping yelling at each orher outside my door at 8am. I gave up and decided to go for breakfast. It was awful. Only thing edible was the sausage and coffee. The entire floor smelled like sewage. My room was beautiful. I had a view of the parking lot not the city as expected. I am very disappointed. I worked here years ago and other than the comfy bed and lovely shower it was a letdown.

The staff for the dining were spectacular. There was one front desk staff that was not very friendly or helpful. The hotel room was clean...the decor in the room could definitely use an update. Nice view of the harbour though.

Lovely spot. Only complaint is our heat was set so low. We got a staff member to check and she couldn't figure out the issue. She was going to call some one to check it. We went to the conference room for a event. Room was still cool so we went to bed instead of addressing the issue. Was a nice sleep over all.

Great room. Amazing staff at front desk and the gentleman working in the restaurant was fantastic. Really good breakfast. The pool and pool area was small and not a lot of seating an uncomfortable seating

Room definitely needs a good deep clean. Bathroom was pretty dirty (mold in shower) faucets clearly haven't been cleaned in a while. Shower head was really gross and water pressure was horrible. Honestly is worth what we paid. We stayed in way nicer airbnb for about $30 cheaper. Breakfast was really good however.

Bathroom floor had hairs all over it, ppl were rooting through our y.. belongins while we were gone out fot an hour, taxi we took stole money from us 3 times, it was a very bad stay, got judged. Thank god we didn't get to stay askmg as long as we were supposed to because we weren't treated right at all, didnt bother anyone, didnt complain about anyone, but we were lied about, made to leave early because of a painting falling off a wall in another room. The day beforehand i fell in a parking lot and cut my face, asked the front desk for a first aid kit, accused of having friends hanging around, i didn't have any friends there. Worst place to stay in summerside. Never again will i grt someone tonoffer me a free a stay to choose that place was the biggest mistake of my life

Easy to tell that the property contents are run down and owner has a for sale sign. So, no investment in the near future to replace all the furniture that have outlived their usefulness. The staff were awesome and friendly.

Unprofessional, incompetent front desk staff. This was the worst experience I have had. The hotel released my room reservations, offered no assistance, no apology. The hotel charged over 7 room charges to my credit card and 8 days later I am still waiting for them to be refunded. There has been no response from the GM. The Food & Beverage manager was professional and offered some assistance. I would not recommend this establishment.

The hotel is not bad. We have stayed before and we’re booked to stay gain on Nov 11th however I have just canceled. We stayed at the hotel when we could stay for free with family members because we want to ensure a good night sleep. We did not get this on Saturday night. I had to call reception at 3:45 in the morning and complain due to a very loud disturbance in the hall way outside. I was advised they were aware and would handle it but it took some time to do so. I am very unhappy with paying for the room that night as I left PEI for a 5 hour drive home in the morning very unrested. These things happen, I work in customer service as well but how it is handled will determine if I choose to stay there again.

Still is a very good price/quality ratio. The warm breakfast is nice, although lacking a bit of diversity, but all the basics are there. The hotel feels a tad on the old side but is still very comfortable.

Bathtub did not want to drain, took 45 after we bathed our 3 year old for the water to finally empty from the tub, one of the sinks was the exact same thing. The heating /cooling unit made a terrible noise every 2 to 3 minues for 5 seconds at a time, 3:30 am and still did not sleep, will never be staying here again.

The Loyalist was great. I only gave 4 stars on a few things because it is an older building - some things could do with updating - fridge in room was so loud and didn't cool so I had to unplug it. Outlets were hard to find = not easy to charge devices. But overall I really enjoyed my stay and would go back without a second thought. Also I didn't know there was a pool or restaurant when I checked in and staff didn't inform me about any amenities onsite or nearby.

Rooms and furniture are worn and tired. They need fresh paint and new furnishings. The exterior also needs maintenance, paint, and repair. We didn’t use the pool, as it didn’t look as clean or sanitized as we would have liked. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay at the Loyalist Country Inn. My only complaint was the lack of info at check-in. The internet wifi wouldn't work and half the channels listed on the available channels list were "not available". We did however have a wonderful stay, a nice breakfast, and a beautiful walk down at the harbour.
