The room smelled like dog. The sink water was sitting. The tv didn’t work had to turn channels by hand.

Decent location and only about a 30 min drive into downtown Austin. Plenty of parking in the rear of the hotel. Pretty quiet for the number of guests that were there. Friendly staff was the highlight of our stay. Lobby was very clean and well stocked with snacks and drinks. The room however smelled like mold and mildew and the bed was pretty stiff and uncomfortable. Our toilet also refused to flush and the sewage did back up into it. The staff was notified when we noticed it on night 2 and they did their best to try and help, however no other rooms were available to switch to that had a King sized bed, so they said that they'll have the pipes flushed the following morning, but we didn't notice any difference. Overall water pressure was really low in the bathroom in general. We either used the restroom in the lobby or used it before we got back to the hotel which was a little inconvenient.

I was originally hesitant to stay here because of the negative reviews. However, I booked with Hotels.com and when I arrived everyone who booked through hotels like myself had been cancelled without notice. All of the hotels in the surrounding areas were booked due to big events. Milton and his team were so great and accommodating even though they were overbooked. They found a way to fit everyone in rooms. This is not a glamorous new hotel but it is clean and safe. If your willing to stay somewhere with a few blemishes like paint it’s worth it. The breakfast was nice and fresh and all of the staff were very catering. I will stay here again if I ever find myself in Texas.

Stay was horrible. Gave me the wrong room at first, it also smelled horrible. They moved me rooms, went through about 3 before finding one that didn’t smell. Sheets had stains, bed skirt had what looked like dried vomit. Bathtub was cracked, bottom of the bathtub was disgusting. Had the front desk banging on my door at 11:30 at night because they didn’t write my name on the check in paperwork and needed to know my name. Will never stay here again and will make sure no one I know does either.

The room and the hotel were old and dark. Our room looked nothing like the pictures on this website. The shower curtain would not stay closed because the rod was hanging off the wall. The carpet was old, worn out and dingy looking. The room didn't have any smells or anything, but the air conditioner did not cool past 72. Our plans ended up changing and we asked for a late check out and we were told no and housekeeping was knocking on our door at 10:45am saying they needed to clean our room.

The guy at the desk was unusually friendly for a Patel owned motel. The room was surprisingly decent as well. I would stay here again.

the rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable although the radiator was leaking so the floor got progressively more damp.
my biggest issue was that staff knocked on our door multiple times during our stay-even waking us up at midnight to ask if we’d heard people being loud and once just walked in when we didn’t answer bc we’d just showered. after the second time, i asked the front desk to make a note to not do so and they said they would. however, on the morning of our check out the cleaning staff woke us up at 9am to tell us we should be leaving even though checkout isn’t until 11. at no other hotel have i been bothered by staff or even had them come to our room unless we’d requested something so this whole experience was very bizarre and annoying.

I booked this hotel sorta last minute because most hotels were booked for the solar eclipse. I found this Wingate hotel for a good deal. The staff were very nice and professional, super friendly. For the stay with my friends, I think this was perfect and comfortable for our itinerary.

This is a bit of an odd-ball hotel - it's built like a tank - the walls are super solid, and everything is pretty functional. The breakfast is solid, and there's a gym and a pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
That said, it has little to no vibe at all. The lights in the room are bright cool white, and there's nothing to walk to anywhere around. I wanted to go for a run in the morning, and in every direction you have highways or sidewalk-less streets.

They were very helpful trying to get things straightened out with a double booking. Still had to pony up a $50 cancellation fee, but ok.

The room we received was not cleaned very well. I always travel with Clorox wipes and I ended up having to clean the entire room even the desk chair had crumbs and dirt all over it.

We were surprised to see it was so dated. Construction was going in the hotel during our stay. The shower leaked lot of water around the tub and our entry key had to keep getting reactivated.

The smell of weed was overtaking when stepping off the elevator onto the 3rd floor, the room was very clean but the beds were uncomfortable (like sleeping on floor. Constant dog barking started around 4am, there’s a doggy daycare next door.

The group that checked me in and out were wonderful and perfect. Oddly enough the wifi would not work for me. No biggie there though its 2024. The floor in the bathroom felt a bit weak like it was going to collapse and the tile was loose right in front of the toliet. It was an old water bottle in the elevator that was there in the corner for over a day. But the inside seems to be old needs to be updated and remolded. Outside of that it was cool. No major complaints

It was a nice clean hotel. The beds were comfortable. The only thing that was wrong was a dog kennel, right next-door and barking dogs started at 7 AM and didn’t end until 7:30 PM

The only critics was that we had to ask for the room to be serviced, they said they were short of staff, but forgot to mention this on checking in, that we would need to request that the room needed servicing.

Definitely unsafe, stumbled upon 2 different drug deals, and 1 attempted robbery all in the rear parking lot. Additionally, there was a very suspicious vehicles that drove through a few times like it was casing the lot. I was traveling in a cargo truck and felt like I could be robbed at any time. The staff seemed concerned and did call armed security to check the lot. The attempted robbery was from another hotel patron who was checking other vehicles for open doors. However, because I felt unsafe I got very little sleep. The hotel is under construction and very loud, undisclosed prior to booking. The furniture literally was falling apart, I'd share pictures but cannot submit any. The shower hit my nipples and I had to squat to wash my head. Because of this experience, I will never book a Wyndham property again.

Poor condition of the hotel. Seriously requires upgrades. While the cleaning services were good, carpets were dirty, walls thin, broken items everywhere. To make the stay worse, doggy day care next door. Dogs barking first thing in the morning. Lasts all day. Better hotels nearby.

The property itself is okay, they don’t have any double Queen beds, and the room looked NOTHING like the picture, it was way outdated. But it was clean. Whoever the lady is that runs it at night was unbelievably slow and rude. I stood at the front for 15 minutes waiting for her and check in took another 10 minutes, that was almost thirty minutes just to check in. I came here before when it was different management and it was way better, updated and cleaner. That was three years ago. Smh.
