Friendly staff, big rooms, clean and comfortable

The elevator and hall to our room smelled like weed. In our room the floor was sticky. There were no rages or soap to hand wash dishes or even soap for the dishwasher. The fridge door stuck. The AC and Heat vent was covered in mold. We made sure not to use it at all. The curtains were falling down. The room was big and roomy but the space was not used properly, and no pictures on the walls. The walls were just bland. The bathroom light was very dull, and the lotion dispenser had clearly fallen off the wall and never patched so a hole in the wall. We checked out early and left.

I was extremely disappointed with the bathroom. The tub was filthy with dirt and grim and there was an exposed Rusty Bolt and screw at the top of the bath tub., an eye sore!!!!

We chose this property based on its closeness to the Special Olympics competition at ISU. For $100/night, I expected better. The room floors looked clean but were definitely not mopped as our feet were black when walking around. We asked for extra blankets because we had a child sleeping on the pull out couch, we were told there was only one blanket available. We took the kids to the pool and there were no clean towels. I went to the front desk to alert the staff that there were no towels and without speaking, she handed me 4. Luckily, that is all I needed. The hotel is right off of the highway so road noise was pretty heightened. It would be nice if there was a sound machine or something to try and help offset that. The air vent in the bathroom was FILTHY and there was little to no water pressure in the shower. The room had a whole kitchenette set up filled with empty cabinets. I would definitely not stay more than one day and don't plan on going back.

Overall the stay was good. I didn't have any issues with cleanliness. I did have an issue with checking in. When I arrived to check in the front desk receptionist TOLD me that because the reservation was in my name and I had a local ID I was required to put down a $100 cash deposit as well as a CC on file even though I had paid for my stay in full over a month in advance. Due to not being told anything about this before hand I had to leave the hotel and go to a store nearby to get cash because I don't just walk around with cash on hand. Then when I returned with the cash deposit and began signing the paperwork to check in, I noticed that the reservation didn't have my name on it, but one of my family members name, when I asked the receptionist about it, she then back tracked and said the reservation actually wasn't in my name but was indeed in theirs and because they were from out of town and didn't have a local ID, we didn't need to put down any cash deposit. Due to this we ended up wasting an hour between trying to check in the first time, having to go get cash, and coming back only to be discover we didn't need the cash deposit. It was extremely inconvenient as I am 8 months pregnant and had to do unnecessary traveling. Then when we got to the room, although everything looked to be in order, the phone wasn't working. When we told the receptionist they said someone would be up to look at it and no one was ever sent.

Went in before check in and asked if we could check in early and was told no. No big deal, asked if we could use the pool prior to check in and was also told no, you must be checked in to use it. The room was okay. When we checked in later in the evening the front desk clerk was fantastic and very polite.

The hotel in itself seemed nice. The rooms not so much. We got in our room and it was filthy. Food on the floor, something gross on the mirror. Bed had pubic hairs in it. Instead of coming to clean the room they moved us to a room that was better but still filthy floor and the hide-a-bed was disgusting. Then made us come get our own linens. Went down to get something to drink and a snack. Drinks were not cold as the concierge said it had broke a few days ago. Wasn't happy with the stay.

Staff was friendly. Room was spacious. Facility looks tired.

It was a hassle checking in. Rooms were not very clean. I was referred there by my cousin who lives in Bloomington. As a hotel manager I would never want a guest to walk into a room with a dirty bed and garbage still in the room.

I have stayed here many times and this place is hoing downhill. My first room was filthy and they moved me to a new room. No one checks if they are actually clean. The mirrors were disgusting. I took some pics.

I love this hotel every time I stay in Bloomington I stay here. Room was nice bathroom needs some paint touches up but this is by far one of my favorite hotels. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the game room was closed

Ipaid for my room online, so the added $100 upfront "Cash Only" deposit upon arrival for townies was definitely unexpected, and the King size beds being on the 1st floor blew me since Icould hear the people above walking around the entire time. Not totally bad, but to say the less Iwont be coming back.

The room was nicely setup but dirty. the sheets on the beed look like someone had been sitting on them. We found a dirty sock under the bed. the celing had water damage spots on it. the "soap dispener" had been ripped off the wal and was laying on the floor of the tub. the hallways seemed like they needed cleaned. the coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned. The facilities would be great with a DEEP CLEANING

We enjoyed the referral to a restaurant and receiving a discount by showing our room card from the hotel’

When pulling out the sleeper sofa. There was a lot of mouse feces inside of the couch. When asked for another pillow and Sheets for the sleeper sofa we were told there should be enough in the room and that we could not receive another blanket or pillow. Terrible and rude

Booked this stay for my sons basketball tournament, great room with comfortable bed and plenty of space.

Had a kitchenette but no plates, glasses, or utensils. When a hotel shuts down the pool, it should be posted !!! It should also come with a discount. Don’t look under the rim of the toilet, sticky stuff in the fridge, we’ll avoid on our next trip through.

We could tell the property was being upgraded. The couch in the room seemed very old and dirty Overall for the price we were happy with the property and think now that it is a Wyndom hotel it will gradually continue to improve

Convenient location. Had easy parking. Great breakfast option. It was quiet and safe.

Five people booked in room two towels pool area filthy but kids wanted to swim and for towels no lady at front screaming because she couldn't get towel said they have them all out walked back to room soaked to find no towels here.. No blankets for bed for kids bathroom filthy had to wash tub for kids to get in food unedible dirt all over floor no coffee no cream counters not even cleaned off from last people never recommend brought kids here for they could have Christmas with Dad but what a joke

The hotel was in decent condition but starting to need repair. The staff was very nice but the police came to remove a family. The pool was very foggy and I did not feel safe in the surrounding area.

the woman at the desk was on the phone and never acknowledged us for five minutes. the temperature in the room was 61 degrees and she would not say that was even possible. however an hour and a half latter she did come up and more or less got it up to 72 degrees.

The room was not very clean. There were crumbs on both beds and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Sort of messy.

This hotel was a surprise in many was. The room was really clean - no dirty floors here. The bed was comfortable and the layout of the room was great. The hotel itself was a little ‘tired’ but overall a good experience. HOWEVER, check in was a nightmare because of a glitch in Expedia’s system. The hotel had NO reservation for us. Luckily they had room and the woman at the counter was very helpful. She gave me info on calling Expedia but they couldn’t fix it so we just made another reservation on the spot with the hotel. After driving for 12 hours this was not how we wanted to end our day. Breakfast was pretty decent.
