Location wise, it is good because of the promixity to the rialto bridge (5min away). People were very nice and helpful. We liked the breakfast which is served in a nicely decorated saloon. However it was a comfortable stay partly due to the fact that it is an ancient building (that we can understand), but mainly due to the very old hotel amenities. Especially the bed was super uncomfortable and we really struggle to have a good night of sleep after a tiring day. Overall, despite some cons, we can still recommend it if you can catch a good price.

The good location is defeated by the worn, dated setting. Uncomfortable bed, moldy shower door, very tight bathroom. No A/C in April and opening windows welcomed all kinds of bug bites. We left with marks all over our faces, arms, and legs. Personnel was kind to answer questions but the torn and worn facilities did not improve the experience.

The room extremely little, the bed little and uncomfortable. Staff not so friendly.

There were bugs in the bed, the room was small. The breakfast was good, but cleaniless wasnt great and we struggled with cold water in the shower. Also, the internet kept cutting off.

Be careful, all 3 stars hotels in Venice don’t have elevator.

This is a very old and very quaint hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and ours had a balcony overlooking a canal and had an extra sitting room. The stay included a complimentary breakfast that we didn't have time to try but others in our group did and raved about it.

I loved the old, historic type of building and tastefully decorated rooms. The breakfast was wonderful, and glad to have it there. Staff was always helpful and smiling, and took our bags for us up the 5 flights of stairs. There is no elevator, so if you get one of the rooms up top, be in shape! One other note, our room was small but that was okay. The shower was only 25" x 25", so any large person (or man) may want to ask for a larger room/ shower. We could not lean over to shave our legs. Always a funny story tell, but besides that it was great!

Great location for walking to the main areas but quiet and not too crowded around the apartment.

Good location, but be prepared for the fact there is only stairs. no elevators for those needing them.

Great stay. Only issue was the A/C was difficult to figure out. Worked when it wanted to, it seemed.

AMAZING! We only stayed for one night, but loved it. We chose a room with a terrance. The stairs are a bit rough, but it was worth it!! Staff was super friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious! Room and everything was very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is close to the Rialto bridge and a short walk to St Marco sq. It was easy to walk to most land marks. I bought a 3 day vapporetro ticket and only used it a couple of times. We were affected by a wildcat vapporetro strike. Not the hotels fault. It took quite an effort to get back to Plaza piazza. The room we had was spacious and beautiful. Mini bar available at a reasonable cost. Daily breakfast was in a lovely room overlooking the canal. Would recommend.

We truly enjoy the location of this hotel. It's a short walk to Piazza San Marco. We love the old vibe during the breakfast with beautiful view on the canal.
The room was clean and had everything we needed.

I know this is the heart of Venice, but it is way to expensive. Nice people, excellent wifi, decent breakfast buffet. Very small room and tiny bathroom. A TV more or less of the size of my notebook screen. Overall, a good choice for our first stay in Venice.

Great location to explore Venice. I would stay again but be informed that the shower is quite small, even by European standards, and there is no lift. So access is a consideration. The breakfast provided was delicious and in a beautiful room with a nice view.

We had a great room w a view of the canals! Great service, good food, and I enjoyed that they had too notch front service and someone was always in the front for extra security! Last but not least near the most famous bridge Rialto Bridge!
Pic of the canal from hotel!
