I chose the hotel for it's super location 5 minutes walk from Rialto bridge and San Marco Square. The hotel is absolutely lovely with a canal side entrance for boats. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.

Booked a Deluxe Room with Canal view Double Bed
Sorry but leaning out of a 4 story window to see canal ???
As for Deluxe nothing deluxe about it.
Bed was 2 single pushed together
Lighting was poor
Heating did not work as is behind curtains no way for heat to get out
No Tea coffee in Room
Bathroom had black mould around bath no separate shower
Door did not seal properly
Staff on Check in says it was best for us to book dining out with them as local restaurants are vey busy
there is plenty places to eat and plenty of space
infect just about all restaurants sell the same food.
Breakfast was good plenty to Eat and Chose from
Would i stay here again NO

Great location after getting off the water bus. Great staff.

Great little hotel with lots of charm. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful with tips and questions about how to get around Venice.

Great traditional hotel ideally located. Friendly staff and very comfortable beds!

It's in Venice... what more can I say! The hotel is a little hard to locate but worth the effort. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The check-in staff was efficient and helpful. They provide recommendations for restaurants in the area and arranged a water taxi to the cruise terminal where we could catch our bus to the cruise ship in Ravenna. Everything about their help was seamless. The included breakfast was great. They offered everything from fruit, toast, eggs, bacon, cereal, juice, tea and coffee. Just to let you know, I am picky about cleanliness, especially in bathrooms. This hotel met all my expectations. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

The staff was very friendly and the decor and aesthetic of the hotel is cool has a vintage vibe. The bathroom was really difficult to navigate. The door leaves you almost no room to stand in the bathroom. They do not have a shower, it's a tub that you cannot stand up in, and there is no curtain glass etc.
Also I would not recommend the breakfast. If you need a water taxi plan way ahead, we requested one early and due to traffic on that canals it was 30 minutes late, we had to walk a block to get on and then the driver charged us €10 more that the price the hotel gave.

This hotel upon first look is absolutely stunning. Though our room was a little outdated, I found it extremely cozy. Everything was pretty clean, not perfect, and the shower was really small but manageable. The staff was okay, they didn't really seem like they enjoyed tourists, to be honest– but that was the general feeling I got from the people in Venice. We had drinks at the hotel bar that were great and the overall ambiance was very regal!

Staff were great. Arranged water taxi pickup at the door. Good breakfast. Great location.

I was amazed how quite inside the hotel was. Easy walk St Marks Square or the Grand Canal and the water taxis. A little quirky alley to the entrance just added to the ambiance of being in Venice. There’s also a direct entrance from a canal right into the lobby! The staff was exceptional, very helpful and knowledgeable. In fact I left some property in the safe, they notified me rather quickly but I was already on a train to Florence. They went above and beyond finding a solution.

Our 2 night stay at the Duodo Palace was amazing!! I highly reccomend this hotel for your stay in Venice. The whole staff was so accommodating and kind during all hours of the day. We had a beautiful, clean room that we were sad to leave at the end of the trip. I love that this hotel is tucked in a quiet corner and away from all of the businesses of Venice - though still a short walk to everything! Thank you for a great stay, I hope we can return one day.

Concierge was superb!

Beds comfortable. Shower pressure good, but weird no door, so floor was always wet. Breakfast/coffee was an issue. Boiled eggs seemed old and coffee was terrible, which is unacceptable in Italy.

This was one of two hotels of my stay in Venice. By far my favorite. The staff is top notch, the room clean and breakfast delicious. I would definitely recommend it.

Great location and hotel in good shape. Staff were excellent and friendly. Only complaints are the room was too hot (26C) and no way to control it. Breakfast was good except for the scrambled eggs and bacon badly cooked.

Todo muy bien, el problema es q el A/c lo controlan desde recepción y cada vez q se quiere modificar tienes q llamarle

We had a lovely room with a balcony and canal view. The shower was difficult because it was just a tub with attached handle to hold to shower off- rather hard one hand shower. More for taking a bath. Our suite had no lift so we had to do some stairs - which was okay. The luggage was brought up for us. The breakfast was good with lots of selections. The service and staff was absolutely fantastic & helpful. The location was a bit of a walk from the Rialto -which was a bit troublesome with luggage- up and down about 3 bridges. But not impossible. They suggested a water taxi but quite expensive from the airport.

The only thing the breakfast wasn’t not good at all

I booked a deluxe room with canal view. It turns out that the canal view room appeared older and smaller. I transferred to a city view room on another newer section of the hotel that was significantly larger and nicer. The a/c was pretty loud, and breakfast average.

This property is OK. Staff was friendly but for the price of this hotel it’s honestly a 2 star. Rooms are very dated, our bathroom sink was being held up by a couple screws and we were afraid to even lean on it. Room was generally clean but bed was not very comfortable. Pillows were very flat. I would not stay here again. I don’t know how it got 4 stars.
Location is great and near the main attractions (St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal).

I liked the location a lot. The staff was also universally inviting and helpful. My room was more than acceptable and as there was a severe heat wave happening while I was in Venice the air conditioning was much appreciated.
That said, the place should probably upgrade soonishly. I noted for example that the "leatherette" covered headboard of my bed was flaking badly and the room was generally a bit too "old world" for my tastes. The breakfast was a nice touch but it was quite traditional. As a vegetarian, this meant that there was not very much for me to eat but bread.
Overall though I'd stay here again and recommend it to friends.

The location is great, close to piazza San Marco, right next to La Fenice theater, and plenty of dining options. The area is rather quiet, especially at night, the building is very pretty, and the room was gorgeous, with high ceilings. The only minus was the TV not working (audio only, no image) but...who cares about watching TV in Venice.

We booked through hotels.com - and after a change of situation I cancelled the booking- however the hotel and Expedia took my money and refuse to refund me- DO NOT TRUST this hotel.
I am
In the process of legal action - but be very careful with booking

Wonderful looking property that was on the water and felt very safe. The issue -- our entryway light was stuck on all night even after someone came up to try and fix it.

Super comfy. Easy to find if you take your head out of your phone and look up at signs on walls. Google maps doesn't work the best . We stayed pre covid restrictions being lifted so no Aircon was allowed and rooms were super warm at night. We opened windows and got bit my mosquitoes because we never thought to ask reception who had plug in repellents. Our fault not theirs. Would happily stay again with Aircon back on. Only thing missing was enough plug sockets but it's an elderly building. Don't be a picky entitled Karen (or male equivalent) with reception...those lads can cut you off at knees verbally. Witness not victim thankfully but I applauded their style!
