Staying here was a taste of the tranquility and security of living during the medieval period without the struggle. The architecture makes the mind wander.

The hotel is inside the wall of the Abbey. Internet does not work very well. The rooms are little

This is a great location with access to the ramparts around the island from the hotel. If you access the upper walkway, it's great to walk around aimlessly. You'll find cute boutiques for souvenirs, books, toys, etc. You'll also find cafés with views or outside access.
Downside is there is no hotel lobby to hang out in and our room was really small so no place to hang out to wait for your family/friends outside the restaurants or your room. We had a reservation for 4 people which gave us a small room with a bed for 2 people and very small bathroom. We also had a loft accessible by a tiny spiral staircase with 2 more beds upstairs. My adult daughter stayed up there but I was not tempted to check it out since she said the stairs were quite narrow.
We were there at the beginning of DEC. 2023. All but 2 restaurants were closed at night and the town was mostly deserted except for a few tourists who didn't mind bundling up against the chilly winds and temps.
The dinner restaurant was what you might expect on a tiny island with a captive audience that can't be choosey about other options, ie. just ok but not great. The vin chaud was good.
I can't imagine how crowded this tiny island must be in high season. Avoid it as much as you can.

What a surprise after reading about the hotels on Mont-St-Michel being overpriced, under serviced etc. The hotel was quite charming, clean as a whistle and comfortable. Breakfast was good with excellent coffee! We particularly enjoyed the door that led directly to the ramparts. Staying in the island was magical and allowed us to explore without the crowds.

We had a wonderful stay in a seperate room up the hill. Small room but clean & quiet. Cam e back down the hill for a wondful meal in the hotel's restaurant & a great buffet breakfast in the morning. Staff could not have been more helpful.

We enjoyed our stay! One night was perfect amount of time to walk around and enjoy the island.

Staff was very helpful, room was comfortable and the Auberge is close to Le Mont St. Michel abbey (although the Abbey walk is all uphill).

A def must if you visit Mt Saint Michel, Its so much better when the crowds are gone in the evening. Hotel was clean and easy check in. Very comfortable room with private bathroom.

This hotel is quaint and charming and well located near the entrance to the island. The rooms are small but well appointed. It was quiet. The hotel restaurant was very good and I would recommend it over the very over priced, marginal food at the famous La Mere Poulard. Our service was also good.

This was a truly memorable experience. Just outside our room was a small bridge which connected to the ramparts which surrounded the Abbey. It was fantastic to just walk a few steps and look up at this amazing sight. The breakfast was a great start to our day. The shopping opportunities were everywhere, and there was access to any type of restaurant you could ever want..
I would highly recommend staying here any time the opportunity to visit the Abbey presents itself.

We stayed at this hotel so we could experience walking around the Abbey at night when no one was around. It was definitely worth it! Very beautiful, eerie, and serene. We stayed in a family size room, as we were traveling with our adult son and daughter. There were two small beds up a tight winding staircase. (Wouldn’t want to come down it at night). It felt old, mysterious, and fun, and added to the experience. We felt like we were in a storybook or a treehouse. I don’t think I have ever slept anywhere so quiet. Loved it!

The staff was nice. We were allowed to leave our baggage with them until check in. Our room was pleasant and comfortable. It was convenient that our hotel was close to the entrance. We didn’t have any issues with noise.

The room was very nice and spacious! It was on street level but we felt safe opening the window for air flow. It was in the annex which is a different building halfway up the island. It had a fridge which was very convenient but sadly no fan and no AC. They held onto our luggage after checkout so that we could explore a little more without dragging it around. Staying on the island was wonderful and the sunrise was breathtaking! We were very happy with our experience.

Stayed for one night. Property is very convenient for walking around Mont St Michel. Parking is on the mainland and next to the free shuttle bus station. Bus drops you approx 200m meters from entrance to Mont St Michel and then you have about another 100 meters to the hotel, over cobble stone. We arrived at hotel mid afternoon and the route to the hotel entrance was packed with visitors so be patient. Hotel room is very small but sufficient for a one night stay that allows you to explore. Staff were very nice and helpful.

We had a wonderful time here. The room was a bit of a hike but it was well worth it. The room felt old fashioned but it was very clean and updated. we loved being able to see the town at night with the streets empty and quiet! It felt like we had the whole island to ourselves. It was such a unique experience!

Friendly and helpful staff, a lovely location. Nice food and a good quality and varied breakfast

Access to the hotel is very difficult and it would have been good to know ahead of time that you should pack light. There was no hotel staff available to help carry our large suitcases up multiple flights of very narrow stairs.

For the most part, we loved our stay in Auberge Saint-Pierre. We stayed in the main building and had a private entrance to the ramparts. There was no air conditioning and our room looked right at a pedestrian walkway with some kind of a VERY loud noise from a building next to us, but it stopped at bedtime so we were fine. Being able to stay on overnight on Le Mont-Saint-Michel was definitely worth any inconvenience. It really felt like we stepped back into medieval times.

Staying in the Saint Pierre is more of an experience than a hotel stay. Unlike staying on the mainland when everyone else crosses the bridge at the end of the day you get to stay behind. The hotel is clean and well kept. The rooms are small, spartan but clean and comfortable. If you stay on the street side be prepared for noise until the restaurant closes and in the very early morning when the day’s deliveries are made. Dining opportunities are scarce after dark and the hotel restaurant capitalizes on the lack of choices so the food is mediocre. The breakfast buffet is quite nice, not unlike you would expect at any other small hotel. All in all it boils down to the magic of sleeping on the rock, getting out before the crowds and staying out when they’re gone.

Left a day early and would not give a refund. Was notified while traveling a 7 days before arrival that they could no longer honor our reservations and gave us a nearby option (which was the only available hotel). La Digue was in disrepair, dining area closed and used for storage, no reception area, and had very bad smell upon entering). The Hotel across the way where we checked in offered breakfast which was not acceptable ( no plates , food not replenished and coffee machines. It working and when we asked to make us coffee at the bar they refused and told us to wait for machine to be fixed! Finally after more than 30 minutes when asked again the did. Would request a refund of final night if possible as we did not stay. Thank you

Room a little cramped but it’s a property that dates back to the 15th century. Not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Excellent location on the mont. Beautiful historic building on main road (right on the ramparts). Private access to ramparts that gives easy access to walking away from the crowds. Highly recommend an overnight on the mont to explore the streets without the crowds. Early morning reservation to explore the abbey. Easy to park in hotel parking area across the causeway. Nice breakfast.

The staff was not at all helpful or concerned that we were uncomfortable. The room was extremely hot and I requested a fan but they didn’t have any. Then we noticed extremely loud noise from kitchen fan outside since windows were open. They did not care. I would never stay there again and would have preferred to leave.

Very small room facing the main street. Noisy and cramp. No ac and very warm. The worst was an impatient young receptionist who rushed us through everything. She was very unwelcoming. We had lunch there and the waiters were very hard working and good. If we ever come back, we would stay off the island.

Actually, after reading all the other ratings, in particulat the bad ones, and remarks I was a little afraid that this place might not applicable. But,this ppl. might have stayed at another place or were faking! This place is really nice! Rooms (we had 2 with 4 ppl) are great.Enough space, toilet separated from bathroom, and a 2nd exit from the mainfloor to the Wall. The staff were really friendly and helpful at any time, even when it was very busy. They opened even the terrasse late at night for us exclusively. Fantastic stay! Thank you for the great time! I can recommend this place highly.

The staff was pleasant and accommodating. They gave us preferred treatment in the restaurant since we were staying there which was very nice due to how busy they were. Best advice is to pack light, use a backpack and follow the directions they give you about parking and confirming 48 hours in advance. The walk and the narrow space getting to the hotel is tight. Defiantly stay here again

Great place to stay somewhere you’ll never forget!

We were glad we opted to stay on Mont St Michel, it's worth it just for the empty streets and ramparts late at night. The hotel staff were great, they fixed a minor problem immediately.

The hotel is right in the heart of the Mount St Michel!! It even has an entrance through the city ramps!
