Hotel good for a night breakfast not so good after paying for it very basic

The wall paint is falling off! The room requires urgent repairs. Walls corners got spider web! Lack of facilities. Beds were very uncomfortable It requires investments. Lack facilities, lack hangers. But breakfast was good. Fresh bread and good coffee.

Not anywhere near a 3star standard

The place

I should have not expected much for the price paid, but this was not up to the 3.4 out of 5 rating. I have no idea how it is so highly rated. I would give it a 2 star rating at best. The rooms are tiny. The loft bed is hot and hard to get to and maneuver. The bathroom is old which gives an appearance of not clean although it may have been clears. I couldn’t wait to leave.

I booked the hotel as a stopover on our return home from our holiday so I could visit Reims cathedral. I have used Kyriad hotels previously and been happy with our visits. This time however the hotel reception and the exterior of the hotel looked quite run down and not like the pictures I'd seen before booking. We were disappointed to learn that we would not find an alternative to their menu for dinner for my husband who is a vegetarian. We were directed to our room through a garden which was over grown and in need of much attention. The room while adequate was cramped and very hot. because of the state of the garden when we opened the window and door we were invaded with insects. The bathroom was not passable but in need of a deep clean and the door lock stuck requiring my husband to release me from the outside after I couldn't get out. Bed was comfortable thank goodness and the breakfast was plentiful but no staff in attendance so if you needed anything you had to sort it out or rely on other guests. We will not use this hotel again.

Great, love the park and calm around the Hotel Delicious breakfast

Basic motel room was clean and pretty quiet. Shower head worn out, but otherwise worked.

Hotel has own swimming pool room clean and food was good.

Overall this hotel has all you need for a short stay near to reims, kettle, bath, internet, soft pillows ( the first ones we had on our 3week trip ) and comfy bed, with a late check out of 12 noon and free parking all included in the excellent price.

Rooms quite small, nowhere to put bags, set out like a motel but path runs past door so cannot have fresh air and privacy. Looks quite old and a little shabby. Have stayed at other Kyriads and they were better - Rouen for one. Restaurant closed as advised but minimal advice offered to find restaurant near by - basically you had to head into town.

The hotel is easy to find off the motor way, in a business park...surprisingly quiet...had a good night sleep....the staff are very pleasant indeed...We ate in the dinning room and the service was very good no waiting around...Breakfast adequate..overall good experience and would definitely stay there again!!

Pleasant hotel, short distance from motorway. Reception open late - after 10.00pm when we arrived.

Had dinner at the hotel -excellent! I could not believe the quality. Breakfast was not worth the price though.

Nice hotel, great for an over night stop, kids loved sleeping up on the mezzanine floor. Very clean and staff lovely. Didn't think the breakfast was worth €9 and they could do with putting extra pillows in the room but other than that no complaints. Just note if you are booking that the restaurant is only open Mon-Fri but the centre of Reims is well worth a visit anyway.

Great hotel for a family of 4 stop on the way to French Alps. Basic room, but clean and comfortable. Well priced. Double bed plus two beds on mezzanine within the same room. Area was quiet, and parking at the hotel no problem. Pretty close to the motorway so easy to get in and out off the main route. Will definitely use again. We're late getting going so didn't sample breakfast.
