This was our second night on Route 66 and the hotel was beautiful. Everything was great except check-in. You can't pull up and check in and unload your luggage. You have to go and park your car in the back parking lot and then carry your bags from the lot to the hotel. And it's not close.

It was cool as can be! Loved it

It was a lovely hotel. You could see the arch downtown from the Bar Balcony on the top floor. I also especially enjoyed all the space memorabilia. Would highly recommend the hotel.
The Eclipse Restaurant was a different story. The food was just okay, and barely warm. But for me that was not a distraction from my experience at the Hotel itself.

My stay was very impressive.

Enjoyed one night and met by friendly people. Hotel met expectations and would return again if traveling through the area.

Was a great experience over all! Was very clean! Hotel was quiet! Room service was excellent came very fast! bar was an amazing experience bartender definitely knew their way around the bar! Only negative was the shower head didn’t have enough pressure half of it was clogged and the confusion for valet.

Room was nice. Pillows were flat and there was no coffee in the room.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Room wasn’t very clean. Shower had hair. No a huge deal. The room was right below the bar and the sound carried into my room. The stair way was blocked between the 2nd and 1st floor for my entire stay even after I mentioned it to the front desk staff.

No wending machines in the hotel other then sodas and those were would out

My experience at Moonrise was mixed, but I want to share both the positives and the areas for improvement.
The check-in process was smooth, and the room was indeed nice and clean. However, there were a couple of issues that impacted my stay. Firstly, the self-parking was located behind the hotel, and to access it, one had to cross an alley. We opted for valet parking, which cost $20. The main disappointment came the next morning when we were leaving for breakfast. There was no valet attendant present, and upon inquiring at the front desk, we were informed that no one was scheduled to work that morning. We had to retrieve our car ourselves.
Additionally, on the day of checkout, around 9 am, there was a light knocking on our door. Assuming it was for another room, we didn't answer, especially since we had the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. To our surprise, a strange man entered the room, made eye contact with my husband, and quickly left, apologizing. This was unsettling, and when we asked the front desk about it, they didn't have a satisfactory explanation. Despite these issues, the hotel did promptly remove the valet charge from our bill upon request. However, the incident with the man entering our room without permission left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. While the room was comfortable and the check-in process was efficient, the issues with valet service and the incident with the stranger entering our room have left a lasting impression.

Unique hotel with modern amenities in the heart of the Delmar loop. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the gym is well outfitted for a short stay. The hotel is a short jaunt from Forest Park and Washington University campus. The shower head in our room had super low water flow; we raised the issue to the front desk staff and they had it fixed that same day. The bustling strip of theaters and restaurants outside could be noisy for a light sleeper so I recommend earplugs if that’s an issue for you. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful hotel. Our view from the 6th floor wasn't that great. Staff at the rooftop bar weren't super friendly but front desk staff and valet were great. I would suggest using valet to park. It was $20

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Perfect. Especially for the price.

The front desk personnel were amazing and so very helpful and engaging. I got great food suggestions and information. Valet was quick and on point and the decore and vibe of this hotel and surrounding area was fun and made the experience “wow” this is by far one of the best hotels with a fun atmosphere that I’ve ever stayed at and we travel frequently. Would most definitely choose this place and these people again

I enjoyed staying on DelMar Ave and walking past a range of shops. The rooftop at the hotel was also wonderful.

I traveled for a conference and stayed 4 nights. I arrived by taxi ($41) around 11 PM. At the time, food options were limited (both at the hotel and around), but available. The hotel and room were clean. I usually have trouble sleeping in hotels the first few nights, but the bed was so comfortable that I had no trouble. The room had a coffee maker, a small fridge, and an ice bucket. Ice maker and vending machines were available on the same floor. Though the hotel is located in the middle of the Delmar Loop, it was quiet. (Washington University was on spring break, which could be a factor.) The room has a TV with cable and a desk. I had to use the desk to get some computer work done. It was ok, but the chair lifter malfunctioned. The air conditioner worked very well. The area feels safe. There is no complimentary breakfast, but a restaurant is available.

The property is in a great area and is in good shape. The staff are friendly and very helpful. However, I would not recommend taking a room in the low 700s if you're staying over a weekend unless you plan to be out late. Their club is just above that section of the property and the noise cuts through the ceiling. Overall good, but uncomfortable because we wanted to sleep. I'd still stay again, albeit request a different floor.

From the valet to the check-in desk everybody was so kind, helpful and informative. We stay in St. Louis a lot, but we have never stayed here. What a mistake that’s Ben. We love the vibe. We love the convenience and most of all the very kind staff.

great stay! fabulous little boutique hotel. an amazing place to stay if you’re visiting the pageant. it’s literally about 500 feet from entrance to entrance. hotel and room very clean. this hotel sells their own candles they burn in the lobby that just smell amazing. and the rainbow staircase!! i mean cmon it’s worth visiting just for that alone ;) the upstairs bar had a good view of the city. oh and you are also provided with NEST products for the bathroom. also we’re allowed early check in. we will definitely be staying here again next time we are going to a show at the pageant! i felt like i was on the moon baby! oh and the parking lot situation was fine. we self parked our rental car behind the hotel in the not secured lot and had no issues. i also did not see any other cars messed with when we left..no broken glass etc..there’s a tiny parking garage down the street but no one could tell us if you actually had to pay the meter to park there (it only took change) didn’t want to risk a tow, so took my chance of a broken window instead but we were totally fine. i was worried for nothing.

I was realy amazed at the customer service. Happy and helpful on purpose. Great job.

The hotel is in a great location and everyone we encountered was so friendly. My only complaint is that the soundproofing around doors could be better. Conversations in the corridors and from the cleaning staff were clearly heard in the rooms. This seems to be a common hotel issue. I would recommend this hotel as a ice alternative to chain hotels.

Valet was a joke. Upon arrival there was no one to park my car. Once we got in room. There was a dog barking in another room whenever someone walked by in the hallway or entered and left their room. Went to dinner and came back. Tried to get my car valeted. My car sat in front of hotel for an hour. Went to concert and car still in front of hotel. I went to front desk and asked why my car wasn’t valeted. So they went and finally parked it. Came back to hotel and dog was still barking. I called and complained about dog. There response was that floor 4 is the dog floor. I asked if I could move rooms. Luckily there was a room available. The desk attendants advice was to write in comments when booking not to be placed on dog floor in future. Our new room was a down grade from king to 2 queens that were horribly worn out. When sleeping we feel onto each other in the middle. There were hairs in the shower. Next morning there was no one to bring our car out of valet so they gave us the keys and we got it ourselves. They be refunded the valet fee to us. Overall, not a great experience. Not sure how this hotel has 9/10 stars. I’m sure this will be removed from reviews but this was how our experience was.

My truck was broken into, broke both passenger side windows. The front desk stated they had insurance and to get in touch with the manager. The manager is actively avoiding my calls and emails.
What’s worse, there is a night club next door that had blaring music going until 3am. The food was limited at the cafe and the drinks were very watered down at the bar.
It’s a nice hotel, but there is absolutely nothing that makes it worth it.

Front desk staff was so nice when we checked in. I was unsure about location and hotel but had read other reviews and they did not disappoint. Fun, unique hotel!
Room was spacious and clean...I didn't even hear slamming hotel doors as they opened and closed so I got a great nights sleep. Bathroom was amazing! I will definitely stay here again.

Clean room and great atmosphere. Dinner at Eclipse and drinks at the rooftop bar was a great addition as well. Second stay here and haven’t been disappointed

The Moonrise used to be our go to spot for a luxurious stay. We haven't had the chance to stay there in a while and boy oh boy we were so disappointed. The staff was fine. The person who checked us in wasnt great but everyone else was personable. Everything was dirty - our bathroom had something all over the walls. Everything in the room was dirty. There was someone else's food in the fridge. Overall a really disappointing stay for the price.

The Moonrise was a great place to stay. It’s clean, mostly comfortable (mattresses need replacing) and the service was good. They need to improve their “valet” service which sometimes they have and other times there’s no one to valet, yet they charge you for it! It’s a fun place but no frills.

I love the Moonrise hotel, and have stayed here twice now. It's our go-to for a St. Louis weekend trip. Prime location close to lots of good food and amenities. Staff is friendly and helpful. The bar is super fun! And the room is quaint and comfortable.

I stayed with my sons and had such a great stay! Great service, rooftop bar. Amazing location near Wash U, Forest Park with running trails, restaurants, bars. It could not have been better. Thank you!

The room was a little dirty, pair of dirty socks found on top of the closet, there also was hairs and dirt on the floor in the bathroom.
The drain in the sink would not drain because the plug would not stay up.

The place was amazing, but me and my wife couldn’t sleep because of the bed, it was like it had a big hole in the middle

My car got broken into along with 13 other cars and my window was busted out. No cameras and now I have a 3 hour drive home. This little trip that was suppose to be a nice little getaway from work and home turned into a nightmare,

Other than about 15 cars getting broke into in the parking area. The hotel is great and worth it.

2nd stay. 1st was awesome. This one had issues. Delayed food service in the rooftop bar. No breaksfast the next morning - the restaurant did not open! Still love the palce and will return though.
