A fairly old hotel. Amenities are far worse than the pictures suggest. Confusing check-in and check-out procedures. Noise insulation is insufficient. Quite poor selection at breakfast. The hotel has a poor price quality ratio. A lack of other options in Shawinigan is the only reason for the high rates per night.

The room was very good, a good king bed, fridge, coffee machine, a sofa and a small table. Very comfortable, the breakfast a self serve with quite a few options. We were quite near to Mauricie National Park and downtown where there were many options for a drink or dinner.
I would recommend this hotel as a good option and the photographs online were what we found, even advised we were staying on a first floor with no elevator.

All great except thought cleaning staff would daily come in to empty the one /only garbage can and take away the pile of wet/used towels etc… we had to ask for extra. The railing up the stairway was a bit shaky but other than that, rooms were very nice, staff was helpful and friendly and breakfast in mornings were satisfying. Thumbs up

Bit of a disappointment. Yes, nicely updated but things are already showing age. Floor and rug at door did not feel clean. Breakfast not very exciting.
Seems they have no daily service, no ‘do not disturb’ or ‘please clean my room’
signs. Felt anonymous.

Overall it was a great stay. I was a little disappointed by the breakfast. It was really good the last time I stayed there. They had alot of options from r gluten free. This time they had cereal and toast. The coffee was empty. I stayed there on a weekend and the place was full of snowmobiles. Trying to walk the dogs was a little difficult and people staying there were quite loud (not the hotels fault).

The beds are so comfortable and it was such a pleasure to enjoy the luxurious shower!! The staff were also very helpful and spoke English for those of us who aren't fluent in French.
On our departure day we had an issue with our car and one of the staff recommended a mechanic who was excellent!!

Due to an unexpected closure of La Mauricie NP, which we had planned to visit, we cut out stay short. Front desk staff was very accommodating about canceling and refunding the extra night and provided valuable information on alternative destinations in the area. The room was nice and had a good size. If not for the NP closure we would have loved to stay longer.
