Just had a lovely weekend stay at Palace Hill.
Super comfy bed, super clean and stylish rooms. Close to beach and amenities. Will definitely be returning next year 😊

A very comfortable stay and close to some good live music bars which were recommended to us by the host.

Friendly staff.
Free street parking pass.
Biscuits not renewed daily.
Seagulls woke us up at 3am so unless you are a very sound sleeper this hotel is not for you.

Very wellcoming, comfortable, excellent location to everything

Nice clean modern hotel deep in the heart of the old town, noisy by road (rm9), parking difficult.
Breakfast ok but not spectacular…

Great stay at a lovely hotel with two excellent hosts - Adam and Tip. The rooms are lovely and breakfast was delicious. Great to see a young couple so proud of their business.
The hotel is good and in a great location but people with mobility issues may find the access problematic due to steep stairs. Other than that, would fully recommend

Just been refurbished . Our room was very clean and we'll presented. Shame the shower wasn't a power shower and nit picking the towels could be better , a bit thin . Breakfast was nice but no cereal's which is odd and no poached eggs. Very central position .

We had a great stay at this charming B&B. We came to Scarborough for a wedding, and we were very well looked after from start to finish. Adam and his wife Tip were perfect hosts, the breakfasts were delicious both days, and the room was clean, comfortable and recently refurbished. Would happily come back again!

Great stay in a spotlessly clean property. Very warm weather during our stay and a fan was supplied without us asking. The owners are very warm and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Already planning to revisit next year. Many thanks.

What an absolute little gem!!!
Adam and Tip are perfect hosts.
The hotel is spotless with fantastic attention to detail.
The breakfasts were cooked to order and excellent.
Adam is always on hand to give recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants etc.
Me and my wife were only there for 3 day's
but will definitely return.

1.0
A pleasant stay but over rated
Stayed in room 9 attic room
Pros
Free parking (but have to search for a space)
Decoration lovely
Cons
No chair in room to sit on
Very small shower/toilet room ( could barely turn around)
Very steep stairs
Needs music or something in dining room
No cereals/fruit/choice of juice
Eggs fried or scrambled( she only does fried or scrambled we were told when asked for poached)
Had to ask for anything extra ( host did not ask if we wanted any more tea or toast at all!)
Asked for extra toast was allowed 1 extra slice
Felt rushed he had to get tables ready for other slots( 9 ROOMS 6 TABLES, HAD TO PICK A TIME SLOT)
had no small side plate to butter toast on , had to butter on table and no choice of brown or white bread.
To get the owners attention you have to bang on 3 unmarked doors, we banged on all 3 to get attention, a bell or sign would help!
Wasnt introduced to other owner at all
Seagull noise is horrendous but not owners fault( ghey supply earbuds( but only if you ask for them)
Generally we found it an ok stay but found that everything had to be asked for instead of offered.
This was our 3rd stay in scarborough and this was bottom , would not reccomend or go again

Adam & Tip have invested lots of love into this stylish little hotel which was spotless throughout and beautifully decorated. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. For a “larger” couple a thicker mattress would have been appreciated but this did not mar our overall favourable impression.Lovely cooked breakfast too!

The room was very clean. Some bedrooms have been updated recently but we had one that had not been upgraded but it was still pleasant. The owners were lovely and very attentive. The breakfast was brilliant. The hotel was very quiet inside although the surrounding area was a bit noisy if we had the windows open.

It was not a hotel it was a bed& breakfast there were to many stairs for us .The room was tiny and clostraphobic there was one tiny window and if it was open the noise was terrible from seagulls during the day and drunks at night.not my favourite place but then we were misled by EXPEDIA.

Had trouble finding the place, however it was at the centre of the city and very convenient. People were very nice.

We did find it difficult to find as it is up a small narrow flight of staires. The parking is in a back street, with a free parking permit issued by the hotel
Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. The owner was very pleasant and helpfu..

From the minute we arrived to when we left,Trevor and Alison could not do enough for you. Always spoke to you when leaving or entering. They advised us on the local nightlife and local activities. They have plenty of leaflets for surrounding days out - spoilt for choice. 4 days was never long enough. Trevor also sorted us out with the parking as you get scratch cards and these are for the streets behind the B&B.

good location near beach, staff first class would stay again if going to scarbrough

wife and I fancied a short break and found this wee hotel just perfect. Handy for all facilities, shops beach buses and railway station. Hosts were brilliant and the brekkie first class. We had room no1 on the ground floor and it was more than adequate, and very clean, for our short stay.we parked up for the first two days and managed to get our space back on the third day once the day trippers had gone home. Trev recommended some good restaurants and the Chinese was really good. Would definitely stay hear again although found Scarborough a little tired lookin since our last visit.

The hotel and room were exactly what i hoped for. The staff were so nice and made it a pleasure to stay there. And the location couldnt have been better

I didn't find the hotel easy to locate although it was on a main thoroughfare between beach and shopping centre but it was worth the search. We were given a warm welcome. The landlord,Trevor, himself directed me to a close parking spot for which there was no charge for the two days. Our room was pleasant,spacious,well-equipped ,clean and comfortable. The dining room was light and airy and a fitting place for a perfectly cooked breakfast.I particularly found the collection of Teddy Bears interesting because I have a collection myself. The hotel was in a very good location, one minute from the sea front and five minutes from the centre shops and cinema. We enjoyed our two days stay and regretted the fact that we couldn't stay longer.I have in the past been awakened by a rooster crowing but this was the first time I had been roused by the sound of seagulls. However as it was a seaside hotel they come as part of the package. One Palace has corgies, ours had seagulls...and at least they don't bite !
