Great location and nicely designed.

The hotel is very nice but the rooftop bar and club is not associated with the hotel. They have no control over it and it is extremely loud until 4am Thursday through Sunday. The front desk and manager is well aware but says there is nothing they can do. The party feels like it’s in your room because of the ventilation system.

Pristine room and bathroom. A little confusing about the restaurant not being directly affiliated with the hotel, but the food at Mr. Purple was spectacular. Friendly hotel and housekeeping staff.

'Standard Room, 1 King Bed, City View' was large for NYC standards! We loved the location, right down the street from the famous Katz's deli and other great food options. Subway station was close by. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Other reviews mentioned noise complaints, but our Sunday and Monday night stay was quiet.
Our room on the 8th floor had a good, but not great, view of the city. We looked out to a courtyard and nearby city buildings, but if you stay in the high floors above the 15th floor bar you'd have amazing skyline views. The morning coffee and Mr Purple have the beautiful outdoor space and views so the room view wasn't critical to us. We'd look to stay here next time we're back in the city.

Will be back again

Loved the location of this hotel. The stay was good. I had fun interactions with the staff about the Sixers and the Knicks, I wore my Sixers gear when I checked in. Good people work at the front.
The room we stayed in I thought could have been a bit cozier. The hardwood floor made it seem a bit cold and stiff. But regardless I would come back if I need to stay in the area.
Loved the rooftop lounge. The view and sunset was AMAZING. I also wanted to note that I took my brother here for his 21st birthday and he also was blown away. It was his first time in NYC at a bar and it set the tone for the night.

Good standard hotel.
Loved the vibe in the Lower East Side, so location couldn't have been better.
Paid a 'premium' for a balcony / Manhattan View, but allocated a room on the 3rd floor with a courtyard view of the surrounding buildings trash. The compensation offered by the hotel / Hotels.com fell well short of the disappointment received.
Receptionist blatantly lied to me when I asked why I was given no view, she stated that only suites have balconies higher up. Clearly she hasn't seen IHG's own website.
Had a great time in New York but this hotel experience left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Hotel was great very spacious and in a fantastic part of town. It was very noisy though at night up until about 4 am which made it difficult to get a proper good night’s sleep. We were also promised a bottle of Prosecco as both my friend and I were celebrating our 50th birthdays but the Prosecco never came. Other than these issues it was a good place to stay.

Hotel is well located and rooms have nice views. The hotel is designed for young guests:
- Small sparse rooms
- A bar/club on the 15th floor that is hecticly busy and very loud/noisy until 3:30am
- during club hours the elevators and lobby are jammed and smelled of puke
Not a great choice if you are over 25

This stay had its ups and downs. The location was great and the design of the common spaces was good overall. But the hotel room was quite worn and stark. Most of the furniture was chipped and rough along the edges. The floor looked worn and there was no carpeting. But the room was nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Our only real issue came at check-in. When we booked the room, we selected a city view room on a mid level floor. On early arrival, we were assigned a rear facing room on a low floor. When we questioned it, we were given all kinds of reasons why their room assignment was right and we were wrong, especially since we booked through Hotels.com, in spite of our booking confirmation email. Finally, we were told that we’d be reassigned at the official check in time and we’d get an email when our room was ready. That would have been fine, but when we returned, nothing had been changed. Thankfully, we were able to work it out with a different desk clerk who courteously reassigned us as booked.

Club downstairs, can hear the club all night
I booked a higher floor delux room and was given a standard room
When I asked about it they said they gave my room to someone else because I checked in late and would move me to a delux room the next night.
When the next night came around they said they had no clue what I was talking about and I had to stay in my room.

I got upgraded to a really nice room with great views of the city.

Very active and casual hotel in a great location

Hotel was perfectly fine but the service is a chaotic. Their system was down at check in making the process so so slow (which was not their fault) however checkout was just as clunky. Printer was down and they said they would email a receipt which they never did. I have weird charges on my CC and it’s proving impossible to get them on the phone. Everyone seems confused and keeps transferring me. Eventually, they transfer me to the front desk and they hang up.

Good front desk staff, good housekeeping. Reasonable rates, good size rooms. Close to many good restaurants, but Ludlow is a very busy street with constant traffic noise. 15th floor has a club which, on weekends, is extremely loud until 3:55 a.m!!! And during the summer, it is noisier. (We made the mistake of staying on the 12th floor!) I may return but only if a lower floor was available.

Great location! Comfy beds. Will return.

They missed a couple items in the room which they say they will include, we have to call front desk many times to get all the stuff missing. The interior design is mid, the bathroom door and shower door cannot close due to design. We booked a room with balcony, and we are missing the cushion on the balcony chair which we saw everyone else have, and they never send up even we called (maybe because of the some raining days within our stay, but they should follow up with us).

nice-size room and bathroom, nice shower and appointments. Great view south across lower manhattan
noon checkout is a fantastic thing!

I was unaware of the security deposit charge they give you upfront. The room was lacking in cleanliness and overall furniture finishes.

Amazing experience, awesome service, nice staff.

The hotel is well situated and looks great. Room was comfortable and the bathroom was huge by NYC standards. But we were given a room on the 16th floor just above the restaurant/club where the music was blaring until 4am. Reaction of the staff? Nothing. Not even an apology

Room reeked of cigarette smoke and they wouldn't help me

Great environment, great rooms, had issues with the parking when I got there. Very busy road to ride on.

The location and the staff were absolutely wonderful and responsive to all of our requests. Knocking it down a few stars because there were no mirrors except the over the sink mirror in the bathroom which made it hard to get dressed. For the amenity fee, it would have been nice to have a bottle of water or toiletries in the bathroom or even free coffee in the lobby. I would stay here again though because of the staff and cleanliness.

Great place and very convenient

The Hotel room and facilities are decent enough... and the location in the LES of NYC is great! However on check in -no information was offered by the check in clerk terms of
actual facilities of the hotel - also a 450 usd security deposit is demanded by way of a card hold ( That im still waiting for to be released) - which is not mentioned in any correspondence with hotels.com...plus they did try to charge me more on the city tax than again was communicated with the booking platform.
To be fair a nice lady did offer to refund the small difference of the city tax .... but overall the hotel could do a better job of a short induction when guests arrive and introducing facilities, and also be more congruent with the platforms it uses- so you dont feel like you are being surprised/saddled with additional charges.
There are other hotels in the LES with the same product, and standards that are more clear with their pricing/charging policies- Do your research properly!

Beautiful convenient location, noise from the club on the 15th floor carried very loudly to our room on the 19th floor both Friday & Saturday nights. I could hear the lyrics to the songs it was so loud. Not a great hotel for sleeping but seems to be the spot if you want to party until 4am.
6.0
It was really loud, they placed us in a room near the bar, so we had to listen to loud music and loud noise until past 3 am. Staff is not friendly. They did not give me my IHG reward points. Won’t make a reservation again through expedia for rooms as they do nit honor member rewards.

Very loud, but besides that, great location and nice rooms and amenities

pros: large rooms compared to NYC hotels, great location, quiet, great price
cons: dated and boring design, furniture in bad shape and needs to be updated (chipped, stained, very noisy mattress..), overall not a boutique/luxury/pampering hotel experience but rather a motel expereince

The layout of the room is decent and size is generous.
Friendly staff who are responsive and helpful from pre-check in to check out.

Enjoyed the stay here. The room was very spacious and very clean. The balcony was very big and it was a nice breeze at night with the door open. The hotel is near a lot of food options in walking distance. If you want to party the roof top bar is very convenient.Would definitely return.
