The hotel was nice. However there was an infestation of ants in our suite. The hotel manager tried to resolve the issue, but we got downgraded to a smaller room. We were given $300 in vouchers for food an drinks, but it didn't feel even.

Good property overall but a little run down and only 1 restaurant so required to leave resort each day and taxi service was sketchy at best. Resort is a vacation club so they are fixed on getting you to sit through session even though we booked directly and really didn’t need or want. Crowd is very lively as you’d expect for vacation but pot smoke was overflowing the place and made for some weird encounters. Also they have no beach… ironically! Overall good place to have fun.

Stayed here for a few nights and it was great. Room and property were beautiful and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here again. Very nice beach within easy walking distance and close to Red hook ferry station.

Way overpriced! Nothing special. For the price you would expect much more. I will not recommend this place at all. This should be all inclusive but you have to pay for everything.

Great stay but could be better on their shuttle system

Excellent, could not have been better. Loved every minute.

An amazing place to stay and well located

The room was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The pools were decent, but the beach was terrible. Murky, dirty water with no beach chairs the entire week. We drove to other beaches (which were amazing.. Coki, magens bay and sapphire). We’ve stayed at other margaritavilles before and poor service with their restaurants seem to be a trend. We waited over an hour for burgers and fries.

The hotel is nice; through photos, you can't fully grasp its size, is big. The staff is super friendly, always with a smile, and eager to help. However, we didn't like the room that they assigned us. It had an old, musty smell, so we requested a change of sheets as they seemed used. The hotel doesn't provide room service, so during the stay, they don't change sheets or replenish bathroom items like shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, or soap. I don't believe the price is justified for the hotel.
The sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable. We were assigned an uphill room, requiring us to take the carts to reach it, luckily always available.
There are daily activities such as karaoke, a single fire show, movie night in the park, and somewhat uninteresting bingo, among others.
The hotel's beach isn't great – it's small, and the water isn't quite cold. The beach is only about 3 meters wide.
There are two restaurants at the hotel. Margaritaville restaurant offers unpleasant and expensive food. The other restaurant serves much more acceptable food.
To go to Sapphire Beach, you must take the hotel's free shuttle on Wednesdays and Fridays, departing at 11 am and returning at 4 pm. Sapphire Beach is lovely but has a restaurant where the food isn't great and is quite expensive.
Every day there are free shuttles to Coki Beach at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm. However, you can also walk to Coki Beach, which takes about 10 minutes. Coki Beach is smaller but equally beautiful.

Liked happy hours 4-6 -ask for high end liquor
Margaritaville food dining options were very expensive & just okay.
We went to Red Hook for affordable fine dining (fave -XO Bistro) to pizza (Island Time Pub) with waterfront views.
We travel to St Thomas every other year.

The property was beautiful!! The beach was not as we had hoped but the staff fully explained why and they have shuttles to near by beaches that were absolutely gorgeous! We will definitely be recommending and returning ourselves!!

Room and property were great. Needs additional restaurants and entertainment. Everything closed at 10 pm. Poor service at restaurant. Seems no staff.
Waited two hours for room even though arrived after check in time. Did not get wrist bands to use facilities until the time share people cornered me for an hour and promised discounts on tours only to book one and charge me when it was not the one I requested. I of course cancelled it but I have yet to be refunded. BEWARE of these pressure tactics.
Beach is not the best but pools are nice. If I returned to St Thomas I would definitely stay elsewhere.

We were upgraded to a presidential suite since we had a large group which was nice inside tead if the 3 individual suites we originally booked per couple. However, the suite had carpeting on the stairs and there was a noticeable musty smell to it. Beds were good. Some of the furnishing like the sofa and nook in my room had some stain and were itchy. There were definitely some bugs that kept biting, not bed bugs (checked the mattress and covering) but definitely something since there were a lot of welts on my body. Staff were friendly.

This is our third trip to Margaritaville St Thomas and we love this place. The resort is perfect for us- the infinity pool at the upper level with a swim up bar, the entertainment in the evenings, the restaurant and the ease of access to grab a taxi and go anywhere we want! We love the 1 bedroom room with kitchen, dining area, living area and balcony to enjoy coffee in the morning.
Coki beach is a 7 minute walk. Red Hook is a seven minute cab ride. We used the resort shuttle to visit Sapphire beach and to go into Charlotte Amalie.
Our favorite happy place!

Was put in the wrong room and took until the 3rd day to move us. Not offered any type of refund even though we spent 2 nights in a lower grade room

Our room wasn’t ready upon arrival which made us late for one of the events we flew in for but with that exception, everything was great, would definitely stay here again.

The stay was perfect 👍 we couldn’t have asked for more

This property is understaffed. The only restaurant on property is extremely slow even when not busy. The golf cart shuttle situation getting around the property is less than desireable. We asked for late check out and were given an extra hour, then got kicked out of our rooms at at regular check out time.

The resort is BEAUTIFUL. The staff was polite and helpful. There are a LOT of heels and stairs. You will get your workout in lol. My only negative is that there are a LOT of cats around the property, actually the whole island.

Everything was very nice , but the room had a kinda musty smell , which I’m sure is typical for the area

There are some hazardous metal objects sticking out of the sand on the left part of the beach that someone can and will get injured on. Lawsuit waiting to happen

When I checked in, I had rented a one bedroom, suite, and all they had for me was a studio suite. I pulled out my reservation. I showed it to the lady at the counter, and the lady at the check encounter told me that there’s no difference between their one bedroom suites and their studios units. I told her I paid for a one bedroom and she said the two units are same size, the only difference in the unit is the TV which was a complete lie!!!
I went and got my paperwork and returned to her to show her the room difference and she said we are out of the one bedroom unit and they only have studios left and then any person stepped and told me that they were out of one bedrooms because they had maintenance work to do on them all week and he would refund my money ( which I have not seen a refund sent to my email yet!) So when back on Expedia to looked for a hotel in the area to rent and this hotel came up as having one bedrooms units available for the whole week. I preceded to show that to him and he told me that system is wrong.
So far everything they have told me is a complete Lie!! And I’m in my wrong room and have seen no refund! I am a very seasoned travel in and out of the United States and this check in has been the worst experience I have ever had!! They just keep staying one lie on top of another and it didn’t help because this is all happening on a Sunday evening when the managing staff is not here.

The front desk was very unorganized our room was not ready till 3 hours later after check-in time
Some staff members were friendly others didn’t even acknowledge you when walking in the lobby.
The food at the hotel was just sandwiches due to the restaurant kitchen being renovated. Our room door did not even lock which is a major safety issue.! The pools and the view from the room were all good.

Wish there were an all inclusive upgrade available.
Lovely grounds but missed a nice sandy beach area. Appreciated the friendliness and extra effort made by cart/transportation staff.

The property was beautiful and the location is phenomenal. Most of the staff was great, some exceptional. The only complaint was that I went with a group of moms to rest/relax and two out of four nights we were there, the fire alarms went off in the middle of the night. Very disturbing and we were unable to sleep after. When we mentioned it to staff, they said it's been an issue and just put it on the review- didn't really seem to care how it affected our vacation.
