I arrived at the property at about 11:15 PM with all the numerous flight delays. Everything was closed down at the hotel. I was dehydrated from the trip and there was no water in the room. Security had to unlock the dining area to get me water. There was no food to purchase. Good thing I had protein bars in my luggage. There was no phone in the room in case I had an emergency situation. There wasn’t even a remote to turn on the TV.

The food was excellent, my favorite was the Brown Stew Chicken, Soup, and the Jerk Chicken Sandwich. Ramona, Nelia, and Natasha made beautiful drinks. Natasha made great conversation and was our favorite server. Infinity Pools were our spot, watching the crabs on the rocks and waves crash giving an unforgettable show. Snorkeling was amazing when it was calm enough, only 2 days out of 10. Mr Brown was kind and made sure we were always taken care of. There was a gentleman in the office almost everyday, I'm ashamed I forgot his name, but he was so kind and attentive with all my questions, he loves the Red Dragon Pork :) too so the management can know whom I am speaking of he deserves recognition. The Gardens were so beautiful and well kept! We will definitely be back!

Wanted to love this place, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. We didn’t realize it’s Sooooo far away from Any civilization/market/restaurants. Our first night there was very limited food options. They were out of EVERYTHING. Power outages, then the lights in our rooms light and fan would randomly turn on in the middle of the night. Over the next 6 days, no hot water-we reported and finally we reported it again and the heating module was out and replaced and fixed, No room service, Never a full menu, no ice, no ice bucket, no juice, no limes, it was basically comical. Then you have to pay basically $40 (2ppl) for a trip into town to eat somewhere else. They do have a free shuttle that will take you to a sister property on 7 mile beach. Breakfast was good, burger, tuna sandwich and jerk chicken sandwich was good as well. I guess I should have done more research, it’s just to remote and not all the staff was helpful. This was our 4th trip to Negril and our usual spots were full so we know and love the area. My suggestion to make your stay here better, rental car, bring snacks and keep your water bottle so you can refill it and keep in mini fridge. Buy duty free liquor and make a day using their free shuttle to 7 mile. Walk to beach, find the Patty man, barter for gifts and search for shells yourself-they are in waist deep water. Have the grounds keeper at the sister property Whistling Bird to clean your shells. At the Westender bring your pool floats and snorkeling stuff

Property is at the very end, great view and quiet. Staff at the dinning were great. Check in staff could be better and they need to answer their phones.

A gem away from all the hustle and bustle of the beach. Definately where you should go to get away from it all. Sitting in the salt pool listening to the waves crash against the rocks was so peaceful. Restaurant onsite served excellent food. Grounds are beautiful and lush. Rooms are very clean

Dan the owner, Tino, Raheem, Natty and Natasha all took amazing care of us and we were given excellent suggestions by them all. The drivers were fantastic. It’s a little off the beaten path but they made it super easy to get around. We enjoyed being out of the way of the hustle and bustle and the security of the property. Loved our stay!

Loved my stay at the Westender! I was fortunate enough to meet the owners while staying there. Loved having pools to choose from! The staff was friendly. One thing to keep an eye on: they are economical rooms which means no AC, I made this mistake but they were able to move us after the first night and were very nice about it.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel ! Very relaxing and a nice get away from all the chaos. Def recommend for those looking to have a chill vacation. Food was excellent!

A little slice of heaven! The Westender Inn is perfect for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the beach. The views rival those seen at Ricks Cafe but in a much more serene setting. There are no buffet lines, every meal is cooked to order using locally sourced fruits and veggies ( grown on the property! Doesn’t get fresher than that!) if you are looking for ultra mega resort life this is not your place, things settle down for the evening and you can relax and enjoy a quiet drink at the bar listening to the waves. The rooms and grounds are well maintained, lush plants, flowers.. the salt water infinity pool was a favorite of mine, I did stay in a suite on the ocean which was incredible! I can’t wait to return in the spring. 💜

This was a nice quiet place, with several pools to explore. The staff and the owners were extremely accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Overall it was a good staff for espically for the price . I felt like the service and lack of communication between the staff and customers could be improved . And there needs to be 24hour access to drinking water and coffee in my opinion.

This is my second time staying at the property and both of my stay i can say that not much has changed. The bathrooms NEED proper cleaning , they have black stains in the shower and it was exactly like that during my first stay back in April of this year. The shower doesn't work properly and its still the same. We had to leave early for our flight and and i could not even take a shower UNBELIEVABLE, thank God we had a bottle of water to brush our teeth. We had room service which was very unusual for the time that they came in our room. All they did was spread our bed all dirty towels were left behind. Rooms need to have "DO NOT DISTURB" signs.
When you charge for ocean view my expectation is that the rooms would be in pristine condition.
Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The staff at the bar at night has ZERO customer service. We sat at the bar she to order dinner, she did not greet , asked if we need a drink , nothing. It seems like we were bothering her as she was busy working on her school assignments.
I enjoy staying at this property but without any changes made you will loose a regular client, as i travel to the Island VERY often.
Thank you

The Inn was not was pictured online and after booking and going to the property it was nothing like the actual place. Property is run down and under construction and I felt unsafe. I refuse to stay at this place because it didn’t feel safe. I did not check in after contacting Expedia about the unsafe conditions I was told I had to wait 48 hours. They refuse to refund me even though I felt unsafe. I will never be using this site to make any reservations. After having travel plan it didn’t cover anything and this is false advertising. My entire trip was ruined and I’m completely disappointed about this site. I placed my trust in them when I paid that they would ensure that I had a safe comfortable place to stay while on vacation. They need to hold the hotel accountable not the guest who spend their hard earn money. As expensive as traveling is imagine coming to a place you feel uncomfortable and the hotel isn’t able to grant you a refund.

The staff was excellent. Tino, Raheim, Trish, Mr. Brown, Remona, the other lady in the office and the staff that cleaned my room daily and provided fresh towels. Huh I really enjoyed my stay. Oh and the chef the food was awesome

I selected Westender Inn because I wanted to be away from the partying crowds and busyness of typical Jamaica visitors. The cottage was was the ideal place to escape to when too many people gathered at the pools/ocean or if people were smoking nearby. The cottages do not have air conditioning, only fans. So if seeking solitude, the fan provides the breeze that the ocean would have otherwise. The only challenge was that the entire floor of the cottage was not thoroughly mopped prior to my arrival. The accommodations that were near the pools/ocean have air conditioning but are too close to the places where people congregate. Therefore, those places were less appealing for my specific need for quiet and solitude.

overall the hotel experience was ok ,the cottage we stayed in had stains in the bathroom had weird smells.

I hated this property!! I was bit up while laying in the beds! I literally had to make a makeshift bed! THEY PLACED US IN THE BACK CABIN where dogs were knocking over our trash & trying to enter our cabin. IT WAS HORRIBLE I WOULD LIKE A REFUND

The Westender Inn was absolutely wonderful. The sunset view, how they set up chairs around the beach area was a work of art. There are no words to explain the comfort, joy and scenery was just out of this world.

Room was book for 5 people. Arrived and there was only bedding for 4. Went to front desk to ask about this but was told I should have requested an extra bed. There was nowhere while making the reservation that it said I would have to request an extra bed. The room just said sleeps 5. I was told an extra bed would be delivered to the room, so went for dinner and came back and there was no bed delivered. The next morning before leaving for the day, I went back to the office and complained about not receiving the bed the night before. I was told someone would delivery the bed while we were out. Came back late that night and no bed was in the room and the office staff was gone for the night. Therefore for the 2 nights we were there my husband and 2 of our kids had to sleep in one bed. This was very inconvenient, uncomfortable, and disappointing.

I stayed last year at this property. Everything is in decline including quality of service. The sea rooms had little access to the sea view because the property is running rampant with mosquitoes and cats… the pools were not being skimmed nor the areas being cleaned. Very limited food service… if you have small children you’ll need plenty snacks … bar and kitchen close at 830 pm and open again 830-9 ish… one could not be sure this time… the transportation provided is almost worth it until they kick in $90 airport transfer each way per person… needless to say… I’ll be seeking another property for my next trip to Negril. This is unfortunate because everything I loved last year; including the $90 ROUNDTRIP transfer; was missing. Very disappointing and I brought a friend who I raved about this property to… sad situation because my union sisters are looking for a winter retreat during layoff times.

Too many mosquitos, they never cleaned the rooms, I paid so much for nothing. They never brought clean sheets or towels. Almost never had beach towels. NEVER cleaned the pools it was disgusting. I couldn't even go outside or stand to be in the room. I just used it to sleep and even so I got bit up badly and I had to go to doctor to get medicine when coming home. I went last year and it was nothing like this. They also charged 90 dollars for cab going and coming to airport when we could've gotten it for 25-35. Horrible I will never go there again.

I had a really great experience at this hotel. I must say that It was really peaceful and quiet. I loved the view of the pool and the beach waves hitting against the rocks. I loved how the was being sent to my room, the food was great and the customer service was also great. My favorite was Aqua who works at the bar. Her customer service was excellent and very genuine. The only thing that I didn’t like was the dogs and the mud walking to my cabin. But overall my Experience was great.

The rooms here have clearly been upgraded recently which is good. However the other facilities may require some updating. The road to Westender really makes you wonder if you are on the right path as it seems almost like a rural path. The road divides the propert ly in two. The seaside pools were a good spot to take in the sunset. The bar had a good Sunday evening vibe but the bonfire never got going. Breakfast was tasty and enjoyable.

This location is about 2 hours from Montego Bay but very quiet and small. Only 24 rooms and the ones on the ocean side of the road are spacious with large balconies or patios. The staff were very friendly and everyone asked if there was anything you needed. The food and drinks were inexpensive and good. The free shuttle to sister property at Whistling Bird was the highlight as this allowed access to Seven Mile Beach. We spent most days there but loved coming back to our quiet ocean view room for the evenings. There is not much close to the Inn so plan on eating most meals at the restaurant on site. The coffee was the best we ever had! The bed was very comfortable and we slept well to the sound of the ocean every night.

The Westender is a perfect retreat from the hustle & bustle of city life. Located in a remote area of Negril, it is off the beaten path in the midst of beautiful greenery, ocean views, and peace. The food was fresh & flavorful, staff were professional, and the hotel grounds were extremely serene. They also offer an area shuttle which was extremely helpful when wanting to explore the surrounding areas.
If you're looking for stress-free, basic stay, this is the spot for you. The one thing to note is that while it technically 85 mins from the airport, if you do a shared transfer, it can take 2-3 hours. Worth it in my opinion, but would've been nice to know in advance.
All-in-all, it was a great experience and I'd recommend them.

Clean, peaceful, gorgeous pool and grounds. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I was even blessed with delicious ripe mangoes. They certainly have good chefs, food was great. The cabin #10 that was given to me needs repairs even though the amenities inside were all available

We had an amazing stay, the entire team was very friendly, professional and delightful.
The Manager Mr. McIntyre went above and beyond to make sure our stay was one of the best. The bartender Natasha was just wondering. We definitely recommend and we will come back!!

Pro’s: food is good, not crowed, view is amazing of water crashing into the rocks, bonfire and music on Sunday and staff try there best to accommodate.
Cons:
You don’t get the room you paid for, it is conveniently blamed on a problem with “Expedia” not them.
No snacks to purchase, only breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The bar opens at 12:00 pm and closes at 11:00 pm
The property is NOT beachfront.
No activities just excursions.
Checkout opens at 8:00 am, if you have an early flight you’re basically screwed.
The accounting upon checkout is inefficient, the world has computers for this reason.
No vending machines onsite, which is a problem because this is not all inclusive, between 11pm-8am there is NO FOOD OR WATER TO PURCHASE.
The menu does not change and is very limited.
The Sunday buffet is some of the same items from the menu, but if you don’t want the buffet you’re screwed again because the restaurant is closed.
Fried chicken tastes exactly like Popeye’s, yuk! Probably came from there since they have a Popeye’s 10 minutes away by car.

There was no light there and we were forced to sleep without any light with burning candles because all the other hotel was sold out so we didn’t have an option or a choice and light always going away there

The property is beautiful. The staff is really friendly. The room is very big and it has a full ķitchen. My only issue is the hill that you have to drive to get up to the hotel. But once you get there, the view is worth it.
