From the listing on VRBO it was advertised as a property that held a certain number of people. In actuality, it was a duplex that was not connected internally. We had to walk outside to get into the other side of the duplex.
The property was not clean. I washed the kitchen floor on one side of the duplex and what came off the floor was disgusting. There were hairs in the bathtub..not ours.
On the plus side, the TV did not work and the host or property mgmt company did order a new Roku to address the situation so that was appreciated.
Location is great…15 minute walk to downtown.

Overall the rental worked out great. It was ready early, pretty clean, everything was in working order. The bonus for our group was that there were 2 separate, but connected units. This was perfect for our age range of 14 people. The people with the newborn and 3 year old were able to retire early while the teens and adults stayed up to enjoy a later evening. Nice porch and large backyard for our group. Since we had small children, driving to the beach was necessary. We were pleased to find that South Beach (as opposed to North Beach) had a nice big 10 dollar per day parking lot so arriving around 11:00 was not a problem.

I am very disappointed. This was a 2 unit house. One unit had central air, the other unit had a window unit on the first floor and another in the bedroom upstairs. This information wasn't in the description and this would have been nice to know upfront.
A dirty rag was found in the bathroom when we arrived. Some of the sheets and blankets had stains on them. This was not acceptable. Some of the beds only had a bottom sheet. No top sheets or blankets.The house sleeps 14 and there were only 5 towels in each bathroom.
No kitchen towel was supplied and old sponges were left to clean the dishes. There is no dishwasher in either unit. This should have been told upfront
I asked about a coffee pot and keurig. I was told there was a keurig so I bought pods only to find out that there wasn't a keurig and my pods weren't going to do me any good.
Some of the glasses were dirty inside of them. There were spices and oil left in the cabinets. I'm not sure who would use someone elses stuff but it was a turn off.
The toaster was found under the kitchen sink. I wouldn't have stored it there but someone thought it was a good spot.
There were 4 garbage bags for the kitchen garbage. Why not leave more bags especially knowing that 14 people would be there for 3 days.
The grills were loaded with charcoal dust and I would have thought that would have been taken care of by the cleaning service.
Found dead bugs smashed on walls.
There was only 1 working smoke detector.
