The Holiday Inn is a very nice, newer hotel with lots of amenities in a perfect location off of Hwy 20. The staff and service are always great. Because it's only a few years old, it's disappointing that the Hotels.com bookings have been in rooms that are already showing wear and tear. Worn carpet, furniture with scuff marks, scuffed baseboards and walls, shower door that wouldn't stay closed, etc. We wondered if they give the lower quality rooms to hotels.com because of the lower price? Just disappointed in that regard

Nice stay in Cedar Falls. The pool was closed (which we didn’t know prior to arrival - no note on the site), but the pool table in the lobby was a hit with my son. Room was clean and everybody slept well, which are the most important factors for us. The shower door in the bathroom would not stay closed, so the floor got soaked in the corner - minor inconvenience. Free coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7. We’d stay again.

Very clean, quiet. A whole youth wrestling tournament team was there. We never heard a thing all night. Everywhere was clean

Stayed here with a group of people for Birthday celebrations. Loved the friendly staff. The common area with shuffle board, pool, and the big open lounge area was our favorite part. Was thankful for the Dove products in the bathroom. The bed felt a bit too hard when we laid down but slept so good and body felt fine in the morning. No room noise coming from other rooms. Beautiful stay overall! Only thing I was a bit bummed about was no hot tub but other than that, 10/10! Will book again.

Stay was fine; however, the manager was less than helpful to resolve a room block issue and didn't care to help b/c he was sold out and we had to pay over double for the reservation. Would have booked elsewhere but it was a full weekend with UNI-dome tournament. Hotel was nice and breakfast/bar crew was extremely friendly and helpful!

We had our family Christmas here and I must say that I am blown away with the hotel and the people working there. We will definitely be back. What a wonderful experience.

Shannon at the front desk was amazing. I was having a rough time with my last hotel so I left it never will go back to it. Shannon took the time and helped make my bad situation into a great one. I appreciate her and the room was very clean and nice.whenever I come into town again I will always pick this one. Very clean place to be.

Very clean and modern. Lots of areas for people to socialize. Felt bad for the bartender. She was only one tending bar, taking food orders, running food out from kitchen. Place was busy for a Friday night to be understaffed. Not impressed with the food. Small menu of bar food. Prepackaged warmed up food at that. Bar stools ver not comfortable. Guess they don’t want ya staying long. Other than that, place was very conveniently located for us as we were there to go to the UNI football game.

We had the most relaxing stay. The location was close to shopping and food and the hotel itself was clean and chic. Very stylish. We were so comfortable they we stayed an extra night.

From the moment we walked in, we knew this would be a good stay. Bright, clean open lobby; friendly staff; easy check in. During our 5 day stay, we noticed how hard the staff was working throughout the property, maintaining and cleaning, smiling and working! Great work ethic from front desk consistently to everyone throughout. Shannon was especially helpful with helping us find resources in the area for a particular need - way above and beyond and then later we saw her mopping the floor - just to keep the front area clean. Kudos to management for enabling such great team work!

After mistakenly booking a room at another hotel we were able to book a room here on our way there from the disaster of hotel we previously booked. My entire family was so much happier and comfortable at the Holiday Inn!! It was clean. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We will for sure be back again.

They dont have the $50 deposit added in to your total, in fact its no where listed on the website. Our refrigerator was turned off, they turned it on but it still didnt work. The hot water was luke warm for a complete 20 minute shower, no idea why as i kept turning up the temp but it never warmed up. The water in the bathrooms by the venue are ice cold never got warm(who wants to wash there hands in cold water). There was hair on the sheets and in the shower when we checked in. Was very disappointed in the room.

It doesn't have kitchenette style rooms you would expect at say a suite. The price was a bit high, but the location made it the best option. Staff is easy going and friendly. The gym has dumbbells, 4 treadmills, two ellipticals, a bike, and yoga mats.
The pool is 5ft at max depth and is 25ft x 15ft. I enjoy the large space. I like the walk in shower, clean bathroom, TV channels, and clean bed. I liked the closet space, comfy sofa, and mini fridge.

Couldn’t check in at regular check in time because people before checked out late. Was supposed to receive a text when my room was ready, never received anything so I finally called around 7pm and they said “oh yeah it’s ready, but we haven’t text anyone.” Terrible customer service!

Need to check the mini fridge for things people leave behind. We had throw out leftover wings before we could put stuff in the fridge

For being brand new, it doesn't look brand new. Walls in the rooms and halls are full of scuffs, scratches, and chipped paint. The carpets throughout the building are dirty and full of debris. The sofa in my room was stained and the baseboards were detached from the wall. It took almost 20 minutes to get checked in even though I reserved the room ahead of time.
