The only thing I didn't like was the mattress it was very uncomfortable, but other than that the hotel was phenomenal, everything about it was absolutely perfect except the mattress lol

Great view and clean. A little dated. Room above us creaked every time someone took a step (very noisy) Must be a problem, they left ear plugs in the room.

Lanai at The Cove is our new favorite lodging in Seaside. The fact that it literally is beachfront and, thus, closer to the ocean waves, makes this hotel a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Customer service was fantastic. We will definitely be returning again and again.

This place had a lot of personality and provided us the environment that we were looking for. It was awesome to be able to walk out the sliding door and be right on the beach, with a great fire pit right in front of our room. We loved watching the surfers from our couch! We will definitely return.

Absolute worst stay. Ground floor room, walked in and immediately smelled overwhelmingly like chemicals. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Sleeping on the ground would have probably been better. The people above us were having a party and it was so loud it sounded like they were in our room. View of the ocean was beautiful but the people upstairs kept walking up directly in front of our slider door to talk to people on balcony above giving zero privacy. Couldn’t even enjoy the view as we ended up having to close the curtains to have any privacy at all. I would not recommend this place at all. What was supposed to be a wonderful anniversary weekend turned into a nightmare. We got up at 4:30 am (after being awoken every hour all night by people upstairs) and showered and left. Not worth it. Also we were charged over $200 for the room and on the paper work hotel gave us the room was $160.

Wonderful view, clean room, unexpected kitchenette. Beach front that was rocky but turned to sand about a block down the beach. Would stay here again.

Excellent experience staying here and I hope to stay again in the future. The hotel is right on the beach, very clean and all the staff was friendly and helpful. There is plenty of parking and it’s only 5 minutes from everything!

It genuinely pains me not to give this location full stars. The room was absolutely fantastc, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the view was breathtaking. We soent several hours out on the patio reading, looking at the ocean and watching the surfers. The bulk of our experience was absolutely phenomenal.
The downside, and reason I knocked off stars, is a significant inconvenience. People are not kidding when they say how thin the walls are here. Our neighbor to the side was having a conversation well into the night, and it felt like they were almost in the room with us. They weren't yelling or raising their voice at all, just having a regular conversation. If they had, we would have let the office know, but it's hard to get upset at a person for just having a chat with their family while on vacation. And we could also hear/feel every step of the person above us. Perhaps if we were on the upper floors we would have left the sliding door open and let the ocean drown them out, but on the ground floor, people were frequently walking through the patio and across the beach, so that wasn't an option. We ended up turning on the hood fan, which itself was loud and annoying, but eventually just became white noise. They do provide earplugs, but they can only do so much.
If you are a heavier sleeper that loves ocean views, this place will be ideal for you. And maybe deeper into the off season and less crowded, I would consider coming back ourselves.

It is right in front of ocean and less crowded. Enjoy the fire pit and view.

The Lanai at the Cove was a wonderful surprise as it had it all: location (right on the beach), comfort and convenience. Thank you for a memorable and lovely stay on the Oregon coast.

We loved the place. It's so close the ocean. Restaurants were nearby. Staff was extremely pleasant.

While the condo is a little dated (especially the bathroom), the view more than made up for it. Wonderful view of the "cove", very close to the water. Friendly staff at check-in check-out.

If you like being right on the ocean, you’ve got to stay here. If you like to watch the tides come in and out and then comb the beach for whatever the tides left behind, this is the place. The pelicans and sea gulls were too numerous to count. And when day is finally done, the sunsets are awesome. The Lanai at the Cove has it all.

We came to Seaside for a quick one night trip. The view from our balcony was spectacular. This property was located in a quieter part of Seaside which was a nice change from the busy downtown and prom area. There was a nice pool and patio area. Hanging baskets of flowers with hummingbirds buzzing them were all around. Our room had patio chairs, a dvd player, kitchenette and electric fireplace. The beach here is rocky but there is a sandy beach a few yards away. Would stay again.

Best stay on our 3 week tour. Room had all normal facilities plus more. Lots of lovely little touches which personalised the stay. Extremely friendly. Beautiful and quiet location but away from the town centre. Sorry we couldn't have stayed longer.

Beautiful view. Nice sized room. Sofa, table and chairs, stove, oven, fridge and microwave. Wish we’d stayed longer.

My stay at Lanai At The Cove was amazing and super peaceful with the ocean right in front of us! Definitely will stay there again!! :)

Great location right on the beach! The room was clean. It looks like the last remodel was done in the 70s but Eve works and is clean and freshly painted. This is nothing fancy but did the trick for a quick overnight pit stop.

I liked that the property was well equipped, and we had a beautiful view of the ocean from our third-floor unit. I did not like that the furnishings were worn and mismatched.

This was a lovely property with a kitchenette and spacious room. It had a very small bathtub but it worked. The bathroom could use some hooks. It’s not modern but clean with great counter space. The only thing I would say that to be sure to get the top floor. We heard kids, running back and forth and a dog running around upstairs so next time we’ll stay on the top floor. The have a wonderful big bowl of salt water taffy at the front desk. The staff was friendly. We were 1 mile from the center of town.

The room was homey and very cute. I will be sure to come again.

Located in a quiet neighborhood with great beach and ocean views. Our unit was a good sized studio with a full couch, recliner, table with four chairs, a desk, television over a dresser, and a four-poster bed that was very comfortable. Kitchenette was very small (maybe 4’ wide), but had all the essential items, except a dishwasher. Tenants are required to wash all dishes before checking out or be charged an additional cleaning fee. This wasn’t too bad since the two if us were only there two nights and ate out most of our meals. Stove was pretty old and could have used a good scrubbing of the oven. Nice sized bathroom with lots of counter space. Pool was nice, clean and pretty warm. Unfortunately no hot tub. Biggest disappointment was that the beach there was very rocky and difficult to navigate. We had to walk down the street a little distance to get to the sand, but from there the beach was great. Complex faces north so the sun never came directly into the units. Had to go out on the rocks or the sandy beach to watch the sunset. But all that said, I would probably stay there again. It was a very comfortable and convenient location.

There was a lot of water damage in the bathroom. Other than that it was a lovely stay

Area was nice. Loved the beach access. Overall the rooms need updates - especially the bed. I haven’t had such a hard time sleeping in a hotel bed until now. Super uncomfortable.

The location is gorgeous. The motel is comfortable and well maintained. The staff and fellow guests were pleasant and helpful.

The staff was very kind and very helpful. The room was basically okay, but the bathroom was very outdated, rusty, in need of new cupboards, paint, etc. The unit seemed clean, but the noise issue was annoying. There were ear plugs to use, but it was still noisy. The view from the room was beautiful and we loved that. Overall we did have a nice time, but unfortunately we would not recommend this resort to our friends. Again, I want to say how great the staff was.

Great service and location - Outdated rooms and the bed needs improvements for overall comfort.
2.0
Hotel is extremely noisy, paper thin walls, ancient decor, falling apart kitchenette, no air conditioning, no privacy.
3.0
The best part was the view and balcony. Would recommend replacing carpet with laminate and investing 200 bux for a smart tv. The tv was a dinosaur and had 3 remotes. Took me an hour to figure out how to watch the news. And a new bed/mattress/linens should happen. For the price I would’ve expected the room to be not so dated. The upgrades would be cheap to implement.

The property is original 1960s and desperately needs to be updated. It seems like carpets and linoleum were original which is pretty gross for a home let alone a hotel. The room was really musty smelling which made everything else feel dirty. To top it off, we found a lot of hairs throughout the hotel room, in the shower, sheets, etc. that were not ours. Staff were nice, but that doesn’t make up for room conditions at all.

Unit 29 needs a facelift. The kind staff made up for it and I was just there one night.
