No exhaust fan in bathroom. Only sheers over window. Room was light all night. No light-blocking/sound-blocking drapes to lessen the outside lights and traffic noise. Tossed and turned (both of us) all night. Cheap carbohydrate breakfast.

Great people and staff. Convenient location.

The hotel was okay. Location was good for getting to Broadway.
However, the site says “parking available” but does not indicate it is Valet only and if a $42 per night charge.
Also, the free breakfast was toast, apples, bananas and oatmeal.

Hotel is decent and the location is great ! A couple small things that made our stay not up to par :
1) check in is at 3pm… I showed up at 304pm to check in and had to wait for nearly an hour to get into our room.
2) toilet kept running … sometimes it stopped after jiggling the handle
3) black out blinds chain was broken
*Breakfast is simple but served the purpose.
* $42 to park one night

Arrived 30 mins before 3pm check in time and desk lady was adamant about waiting the 30 mins. No meat items at breakfast was a disappointment. Did not appreciate the $42 PLUS TAX parking fee. The room was spacious, comfy, and clean. Everyone had a good attitude. Lobby was absolutely beautiful!

Showed up at 4pm to check in waited till 9pm in the lobby never got checked in and was finally told by the front desk they where going to send me to another hotel when I asked questions like where and why am I just now finding out about this at 9pm after waiting this long she raised her voice and was rude,I told her I’ll make my own booking for tonight and can stay with them tomorrow she told me someone would reach out. Never heard from anyone and THEY CHARGED ME TO WAIT 4.5 Hours be rude and turn me away(i prepaid!). I’ve left messages with management never heard from anyone.I prepaid and booked with Hotels.com and they called to resolve with front desk multiple times but front desk refused to do anything about it and then had the nerve to be rude after I sat quietly for 4.5 hours. WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD.I wasn’t even mad till now day 2 haven’t received a call they don’t answer and they charged me for this customer service disaster.

Absolutely great stat. Friendly bar Excellent front desk staff. Especially Alexis helping me out with a room that could’ve been cancelled! Love the location as our daughter lives across the corner , right by Vanderbilt Hospital. We have stayed here before and will stay again. Coffee maker in room and decent free breakfast , cold water dispenser offered all day

Don't let the photos fool you, this is a very run down hotel with new paint. My bathtub squeaked, yes moved, every time I stepped into it. My faucet handle didn't turn left so I didn't have hot water and washed my face in the bathtub. Also barely any outlets and the only bedroom light is the wall lamps which they hid the switches behind a phone and an alarm so if you come in the room at 2 am, good luck.
If you still want to book, make sure to bring body wash/soap because they only give you one bar so you choose if you're washing your hands or your body.

It’s presented as something special but it was average. The room was average, the bathroom not the cleanest, no cleaning service for staying five days four nights, the breakfast was terribly sad, I would have preferred they didn’t offer it! The valet people extremely nice and friendly although it was a surprise that the only choice for the car was to valet at $42/day!
Most of the front desk people was friendly although the one night I needed someone helpful, she didn’t blink an eye to tell me what I asked for was not and to walk to a convenience store to get it. I was only asking for a small packet of salt, something they have daily in stock for breakfast, and even at a supposedly fully stocked bar which never seemed in service (honestly, how far do you think they store the salt away after the breakfast service??). At the very least make me feel like you are trying to help, but she couldn’t have been faster at telling me how it was not possible.

The lady checking us in was EXTREMELY rude to everyone. The third night 3 random drunk people banging on our door at 3 am demanding to get it. Called security They tried to fight my husband. Anyone can walk off the street. We have told everyone about your hotel and to stay away. I am sad we spent our money with your company.

It was a great stay. The staff was amazing and the service provided was great.

This place is basically one step above a motel. Nobody is going to help you bring your stuff to your room. Thin walls, loud neighbors, the saddest included breakfast I’ve ever had, and no blinds in the room, just the sheerest possible curtain that blocks zero light. If I hadn’t prepaid the whole stay I probably would’ve left and went somewhere nicer.

Loved the price, the location, the service. Just a great place to stay near Broadway. Early check in, late chexk out. There is some construction on the street, so we woke up to jack hammers. Not great, but construction doesnt last forever.

Comfy beds, clean hotel, BAR!!!!! This is the 2nd time staying here as we drive thru, and we can't wait to come back! Oh, and valet!!!!

Very nice hotel a. Mile from Music Row. My only negative is it is valet parking only which is a little expensive. Probably the reason the room price was a low as it was in order to compensate for valet. I’ll stay here again

Had an issue at another hotel, made a last minute booking here, checked in 5 minutes later. Staff and valet could not have been better. Rooms very clean and comfortable.

Room was reasonably priced. Parking and per fee doubled it.
Tons of construction noise without any notice.

The desk woman was very friendly. The lobby smelled nice and was nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable and it comes with a mini fridge. I’d stay again.

I loved this hotel! This has got to be my favorite hotel in Nashville. I was in walking distance of so many restaurants. If I did have to use an Uber or Lyft the cost was very affordable.

Valet process was very inconsistent and inconvinient. There was no complimentary breakfast. It was bagels and juice. Not very clean in hallways

Good location but construction across the street was not ideal. Breakfast was pretty limited and not being re-stocked fast enough given number of guests there.

Shower was either scolding hot or cold and water barely came out. Shades didnt work great. Staff was great and lobby was very nice but the rooms could use some updating and fixing of little things. Great area

What a fun hotel....surprise was the amount of space in our room, cleanliness, service, friendliness of the staff who went above and beyond made this a most enjoyable stay. I felt like I was at home in my room! Special shout out to the wonderful and truly kind staff! Thank you!

No self parking and valet parking is outrageously expensive.

My stay was great but the housekeeper didn't clean my room without me asking the front desk

The parking valet was extremely pleasant, and helpful. I wish I could remember his name however, we arrived on the 21st at around 4:00 pm and he was just ending his shift. If you know who it was please thank him for us, as we left before we saw him again. Don't let this guy get away!

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel having read previous reviews. I found it clean, the rooms were comfortable and the staff friendly and professional. Unfortunately the coffee maker didn’t work in the room. As he weather was terrible there was no construction happening, so it was quiet

The property was great considering it was an off-brand, off-chain property but with that comes with fees. At the time of this post, it is $42/night to valet park, which interesting enough, it was $42/night for me to drive it to a nearby parking garage. I was able to find parking right beside the hotel at $20/night. For late check out, they charge for that as well. The bar is great, and the bartender (Maxwell) went above when interacting with customers. Can’t remember the prices but I’d say it would be at or below what you would expect to pay at a hotel bar. There is construction going on in every direction from the hotel, to include right beside it. If you’re one that wants to sleep past 10-11am, this would not be a good location.

I feel bad doing this honest review as we have stayed at the Hayes several times since 2017. We used to love it! We had 5 couples during this latest trip come & stay also: 6 rooms.
The first thing was we used to park across or down the street free. Now it's $42 to park. This is not the fault of the Hayes. Construction has caused this problem. It is, however, very high for not being on Broadway.
We got to Nashville at 12:30pm, before 3pm check in. One of our favorite things about this hotel, historically, was that rooms were typically ready when we arrived. Upon check in, we were told our room was ready. WONDERFUL! However, that will be $25. I could understand not having a room ready, but it was ready. We have been there multiple times before with no problem. A man in lobby heard me complaining to my husband and he was shocked as he just checked in early for $50!
I needed to change & asked, since I couldn't get in my room, is there a bathroom. There is 1 bathroom. It's a single stall and unisex. The door is locked. Door still locked 10 mins later. I asked the lady at front desk if there was anywhere else I could change. Without looking up she replied, "No ma'am. That's it." I replied that it's been locked for 10 mins to which she replied: "If it's locked, it's occupied." And went back to typing.
The room had warped floors as you walked in & in bathroom. Shower was pointed OUT and only shower curtain. Terribel! Door also had water damage. So much wear and tear over 7 yrs
