It's a beautiful setting and a homey feel to the room. It would have helped if more info about the facility had been provided up front so that I could have better planned for my stay.

I cannot say enough good things about my stay at Mountainside Inn, and my standards are extremely high. The bed was super comfy and the room was very clean. My family and I occupied several rooms, so I got to see most of them. Each is uniquely decorated, and it is clear that a lot of thought went into making each room cozy and welcoming. The quiet hours (between 10pm and 7am) are strictly enforced, so it's wonderful if you are the type of person who values your sleep. Additionally, the in room AC provides a white-noise hum, blocking out most noises outside the room. The AC is not noisy or disruptive, constantly turning on and off, like it is in many hotels - this is important to me as a light sleeper. There is a common area with a living room and kitchen which you have to share with the other hotel guests. This was not a big deal most of the time as people are coming and going and not really hanging out on the property - so you don't have to do a lot of awkward interacting with strangers if that's not your thing. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay!

Family suite (2 bedroom and bath) had one tiny window AC; totally inadequate in a heat wave. No breakfast. Fridge door sign said milk was available, but it was only almond milk. Disappointing place.

The location was convenient for seeing the McDonald Observatory, and Big Bend Nat’l Park.

It is not easy to find a good place to stay in Fort Davis but we found a gem in the Mountainside Inn. The Bed was comfortable and the Inn is close to services in the town. My Wife and I recommend it. We stayed for 3 nights.

Nice kitchen with many supplies. Didn't like the fact that there was no real sugar, just the fake stuff. Also, a family checked in our first night at 10:30, with noisy kids. The same family came in at 11:30 the next night and also made noise. Supposed to be quiet time between 10 pm and 7 am. They shouldn't let people come in that late.

Stayed in Room 1- the family room with my husband and our 3 boys, it was a great experience. Really hard to beat the view from this house and it was a great escape from the city, it is very quiet out here. Most of the shops close by 5 and the restaurants are usually closed by 8, but there are more options to go out to eat in Alpine, about 30 minutes away. I would definitely recommend Stone Village Market for breakfast and lunch options and it is just down the street from here. The only downside is that there are no black out curtains and the walls are a bit thin. Otherwise the accommodations and service are really good.

Great stay. Incredible location in a small town. More like a bed and breakfast. Code are sent by a text so everything is self service.

This place has some unique themes going on in the rooms. We were in the Elvis room and it was very interesting. However we had some problems with the room too. It was cold in Southern AZ and our room was not warm. We had to text the owner and the response was not very fast. In fact we had gone to bed. We also did not had a remote for the tv. One last thing was that there was not any coffee in the place. We had a coffee maker but no coffee.

The property was very clean and unique. Owners and Adrianna were very accommodating and polite. We were only in town for a few hours passing thru for overnight.

Super clean with a comfy bed.

The most outstanding thing about the inn is the staff of ladies who live and work there. So nice and accommodating, they just made the stay so pleasurable. And their little doggie, Mimi was the sweetest pooch. Felt like we were staying with family…but better! The only negative thing I can say is the walls between the rooms are not well insulated, so we could hear noise from the other room. But that’s a minor issue compared to the many positive points. Definitely would stay there again!

This place was awesome. It's like staying at Grandma's since this room is located in a large building with other rooms. There is a stocked, large kitchen with space and ice for each room. It was a great place to explore, especially if you want to visit the McDonald Observatory. I wish we would have had more time at this location. We hope to visit and stay here again.

Small clean room

beautiful inn nestled into the mountains. We had a very comfortable stay. It was probably the best mattress and sheets i've slept in while traveling. Everything was clean and very homey.
