Very close to the beach and to the penguins... Just walking distance... Room was alright but not the one I have booked... Staff was very welcoming and trying to solve everything
Loadshedding, that there is no wifi but when it's on it's very weak... I did not get the room I have booked since it was occupied but the staff tried to solve the problem... Be careful owner tries to send you away when you complain

William the manager, was fantastic. He went out of our way to help us and make our stay fantastic, and when we arrived with fewer people than expected, he did a great deal with us for the second night. We also met the owner and had a wonderful discussion. The accommodation was superb and the breakfasts even better (we only had breakfast at the Fijnbos Manor. Note that I think the signage says Fijnbos Lodge, which was a bit confusing. Regarding the wifi, I think there were some problems because of load-shedding which is effecting everyone in South Africa, not only at Fijnbos Manor / Lodge.

The room had everything we needed and was clean. They provided a light to use during load shedding.

Peaceful environment.
I needed a microwave in my room.plates were not removed from my room and I didn't have enough plates to use in my room.Limited selection on tea bags as well

I liked that it was friendly and cozy.. I could relax and enjoy the use of this property ..
It was advertised as a lodge but it was more a BNB and I never do BNB .. that was a little disappointing.. we wanted more privacy.. however the experience was not bad at all..

Very near the beach and in a very save area. Beautiful view from the room. The house is cozy and very neat. I love the place and will recommend it to anyone.

Clean room and convenient location.
The water geyser was extremely noisy; it made loud noises every few hours throughout the night, waking us up.
The shower water pressure all but disappeared a minute or two in, meaning one had to stand right at the edge of the bath to get any water.
The beds were too short and had a frame with high edges, making it almost impossible to lie straight.
The TV/DSTV didn't work; it just said it was not connected.

Breakfast was an additional minimal cost of R60 which was great. The room was adequate and clean. The decor could be updated but for what I paid it was great
The room was quite noisy being near the road and looking into the carpark. A room on the other side facing the pool would have been great but would have cost more so I was ok with that. Overall just fine.

Room cluttered -we booked a room with 2 queen size beds as didn’t want single beds -the beds were not very big for 2 people sharing a bed .Carpets were dirty.Breakfast not worth it .

We were the only guests and enjoyed the solitude of the pool.
The Tapas bar (Gnocci) across the road was fun.
The facilities were rather old fashioned. Door handles need replacing, TLC needed, but the situation is understandable what with Covid.

Breakfast was not included
It would have been good if I was shown the place besides the room, given WiFi pin, shown the braai and pool area.
I discovered these facilities on my own.

Breakfast was delicious and perfect for our needs - several choices but not 'over the top'.
Position is optimal; the fact that we were the only guests for some of our stay, suited our needs for a quiet rest and retreat very well. The veranda is perfect for relaxing, working and enjoying the view (and birdlife!).
Staff (William) was an excellent host; always responsive but never intrusive.
We understand and support the need for cost-cutting measures in these times. The only small disappointment was the artificially flavoured pink yoghurt at breakfast

We liked the vibe and the property was really beautiful.
Smaller room was great... Just needed a microwave. But other than that it was perfect.
