The Bear Den is an amazing house. Description of the house is on point. Beautiful house nice and relaxing. Great space for family and friends. Very clean. Plenty of space to park a trailer if you're snowmobiling. Would stay again. The hosts are very responsive.

Beautiful lake views from inside or outside. We loved the outdoor fire pit! Property location is very close to Whitefish Point Light House and Shipwreck Museum. Lots to see and do within a 90 minute drive. Great place to relax and enjoy life.

The Bears Den was the perfect getaway for our group. Clean, beautifully decorated and a terrific location on the lake. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this beautiful home.

This is a “resort-quality” rental!
The house was immaculate, the kitchen was so well-equipped. We’re all cooks and bothering was wanting—great pans, dishes, wine glasses, etc..nothing was wanting!

The Bear Den is an absolutely beautiful vacation destination! The home is exceptionally clean, well equipped, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully furnished and accessorized. We are a family of 9, three generations, and we all loved it. The views of the bay, the beautiful beach, rock hunting, watching the eagles, star gazing!
Also some fun destinations, Pictured rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Oswalds bear ranch, Whitefish Point and the Soo Locks.
Jason and Amanda are great hosts. We look forward to a return trip!

This was a great place to stay. The Bear Den was exactly as described. The house was quiet clean and was a great home base for our adventures in Michigans UP. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for a family dinner. I would highly recommend this property. The hosts were super helpful and attentive. I would love to return for other adventures and a longer stay. One week was not enough time in this beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it with me and my family.

This lovely cabin is perfectly located for peace and relaxation. Waking up every morning to the vast view of Lake Superior was beyond amazing. Binoculars were provided for ship and bird watching. Lakeshore access was perfect for rock hunting. There’s plenty to see and do nearby, as well as within 90 minutes.

Our family of 6 absolutely loved our stay here. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you will need for your stay. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds and baths were clean and comfortable and there are numerous games and activities provided to keep you busy inside or out during your stay. The hosts were wonderful and communication was great. We have stayed in many vacation homes and this was by far our favorite. The beach and lake views cannot be beat. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at The Bear Den! The beautiful and clean home on the lake was such a great getaway. You don't see stars like that in the city. We had the best time with the locals at The Goatlocker Saloon, and we found 2 Yooperlite rocks in shallow water on the shore! Highly recommend and we hope to return!

Considering a stay at The Bear Den? Book now before you lose your opportunity! My daughter and I stayed there the last week of March. We had some windy, cold weather, but we bundled-up and explored all that Paradise and the surrounding area had to offer: Tahquamenon Falls, the shipwreck museum (only the grounds because the museum was not yet open for the season), and Munising, which was about a two hour drive. I was a UP rookie, so I was surprised by the amount of snow that was still on the ground-- and the snow that fell while we were there-- but it did not stop me from getting out and enjoying all the area had to offer. Full disclosure: my teen daughter was not as excited to do the same, but we did have the Lower Falls to ourselves! :)
We enjoyed pizza at the gas station / convenience store on the way to Tahquamenon Falls, and a great meal at the GOAT. If you prefer cooking at the house, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the view while cooking can't be beat.
I'm already plotting my next trip to The Bear Den, only this time I plan to go in the summer when I can enjoy the beach!

We truly enjoyed our time at the Bear Den! Jason was extremely helpful start to finish with any question we had. The property was clean and ready for our family of six. It is evident they have paid attention to detail in preparing a home ready for anyone to drop in and fully enjoy themselves. There was a snow storm and an ice storm during our stay, but that didn’t stop us from thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. Locals were great at the nearby restaurant, Wheelhouse. Some establishments were closed in the off-season, but the area still brought what we were looking for. It’s a beautiful home and hope to visit again, perhaps during the warmer months next time? This home was fabulous! My husband and I stayed here with our 6 adult children and 2 of their spouses. All 10 of us agreed that this was the nicest home we have stayed in so far. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we really enjoyed the fire pit and fire place. The views of the lake are fantastic! I was so happy to find that the kitchen and cook wear were top notch. Everything was super clean and comfortable, and the communication was great! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home.

This property is just as listed. We were blown away with the cleanliness and well stocked kitchen. Added bonus, there was more than enough towels and washcloths for our group of 8. We enjoyed the nearby attractions of Whitefish Point and the Falls plus just lounging around the cabin.

This home was what we hoped for a more. The setting and views were phenomenal from sunrises, moon rises, and freighter watching. We were a family of 7 adults and had more than enough room. Beds were comfortable, well stocked kitchen and within an hour and a half of everything we wanted to do. 100% recommend the Bear Den!

When we arrived at “The Ben Den” property we knew it was an amazing rental, but it exceeded our expectations.
The beautiful property and home is better than the pictures. From the moment we walked in the front door, we were impressed at the attention to detail, a very, very clean and well equipped home. The view of Lake Superior is breathtaking. Jason and Amanda have done an outstanding job with the interior and exterior finishes. They truly want your stay at “The Ben Den” to be a pleasant and memorable one.
Our group enjoyed ourselves so much, we are already planning our return visit to “The Bear Den” for next year!

We were immediately in awe walking into this gorgeous home. The cleanliness was on point, but the windows and view blew us away.
Our children had a phenomenal time at the beach, and we enjoyed the evenings by the fire.

We truly enjoyed our stay at "The Bear Den" in mid July. The beautiful house had more than enough room for our family of six (four kids age 9-15), and my mom and sister and brother-in-law were able to stay with us for a couple nights too! Communication with gracious hosts Jason & Amanda was excellent from time of booking, there was really no need to contact them during our stay as nothing was lacking!
We enjoyed being able to watch the freighters cross Whitefish Bay, the sun (and moon!) rising over the bay, and the firepit outside (thanks for the firestarters!). The protected bay is great for paddle-boarding (took a SUP with us), and there's great rock collecting from the base of the stairs and to the north (even found a Yooperlite). Other great beaches nearby for sunsets and more rock collecting! (Whitefish Point, Vermilion Point, and Barb's Beach were our favorites). Would be a great place to unplug any season of the year (though the wireless internet is solid).
Don't leave Paradise without visiting the Brown Fisheries Fish House in Paradise for lunch, another great recommendation by the host! Day trips to Grand Marais and Munising (Pictured Rocks) were enjoyed by our family as well. Looking forward to returning someday!

We had a fantastic time. The location is beautiful and peaceful, with a great beach that continues both directions along the shore and makes a great morning or evening walk. The home was very comfortable for our group of adults — spotless, great kitchen, and plenty of common areas to spread out in. We hope to return next summer and are looking forward to it already.
