The space This home is created with your people in mind. The light and comfortable interior removes the "noise" of the world outside and lets you enjoy the simple things—the things that matter the most. You and your tribe can gather around the large dining table and bar, that can comfortably seat 13, to share meals, stories, and laughter. The kitchen has granite countertops, is equipped with stainless steel appliances, and full of all the necessities to make your favorite meals and drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, and margaritas!). Ample windows throughout the house let the light pour in. Five bedrooms have enough space for each one of you. 3 king beds, 2 full bunk beds, and 4 twin beds—all equipped with the comfiest memory foam mattresses and bedding. Walk out on the 2nd and 3rd story decks to enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean. It's the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee on the lounge chairs or have a meal on the teak wood table. A beautiful place to breathe in the clean salt air. This home is family friendly and is equipped with a pack-n-play and children's toys/books. Included with your rental, there are plenty of fun in the sun toys including two kayaks, numerous beach toys, boogie boards and so much more. After your day at the beach, wash the sand away in the private shower, equipped with hot water. Enjoy time spent in the sun or watching the sunset on the wood decks, playing basketball on the full size goal, or grilling on the heavy duty charcoal grill. The design, textiles, and materials are all designed for your rest, your retreat, and your experience of the salt + light. We can't wait for you to be here. Other things to note In lieu of collecting a security deposit, we will collect, for each reservation, a one-time non-refundable $79.00 damage waiver fee. This is already included in the management fee you pay. The damage waiver is provided by Waivo, a third-party vendor which is not affiliated with us. Generally, the damage waiver provides up to $5,000 of coverage towards unintentional property damage. The coverage is subject to all applicable terms and conditions imposed by Waivo, including, without limitation, those terms and conditions described on the attached Exhibit A. Waivo's terms and conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. We are not responsible for any changes to or variance in Waivo's terms and conditions which conflict with or contradict the information provided in Exhibit A. You are responsible for obtaining accurate and up-to-date terms and conditions directly from Waivo at the time of purchase. If for any reason whatsoever, Waivo fails or refuses to cover any costs or expenses incurred due to damages resulting from your stay, We shall be entitled to charge the credit card on file or otherwise collect such additional amounts as may be incurred for damages or theft, including, without limitation, the market rate for replacement of costs or repairs plus time and materials, in addition to seeking any relief provided by law.

We've been renting beach houses for 30 years and this was, without a doubt, the cleanest! It truly was spotless. We loved the well stocked garage area with the kayaks, boogie boards, coolers and tons of beach toys for our grandddaughter. It's rare to have a rental with nice non-stick pans and very clean dishes. It was nice to have both diahwasher and laundry detergent provided. Another benefit of this house is no motor vehicles can use the section of beach in front of the house.

We had a great week at Salt and Light Beach House with our family. We have vacationed in Galveston for many years and the house was well stocked with all the amenities, cooled well, and slept all of us comfortably. 5 Stars!

The house and view were beautiful. We all enjoyed our stay. We liked the rocking chairs on the main balcony. My only suggestion would be to raise the height of the railing as the bannister was at eye level blocking the view. ( I realize the height of the railing is by code ). Bar stools would also work.

The house was great. We were told no vehicles were allowed on the beach in front of the house but the beach patrol did nothing about cars driving on the beach. NOT the fault of the property owner. Definitely would stay here again. 3 families: 6 adults & 3 kids. Plenty of space for everyone. Adults all had king beds

The house, location and hospitality were everything I hoped it would be and more. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were OUTSTANDING but the big surprise was all of the beach gear at our disposal. Everything from kayaking to sand castle building… this place had it all.. I highly recommend this house

The house is amazing! Layout is perfect for multiple families, plenty of room, very clean. The outdoor shower with hot/cold water is a huge bonus. Beds were all comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms well stocked. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about the house or location. Just one phrase of caution: parking is tight. Two cars are fine, three is ok, but more than that is tight.

This was a great beach house in a perfect location for our family vacation. The beach was just a few steps away and the house had plenty of space and all the amenities for both adults and children. The host, Jason, was very friendly and responsive. We will definitely be back to Salt + Light!

Our overall experience was excellent. We phoned the homeowner when we discovered the walkway was partially overgrown. He did his best to get this remedied, but it was a neighboring rental group that took care of the issue. Also, the beds were harder those those to which we are accustomed, so our sleeping experience wasn’t the best. But the new owner was a jewel with whom to work, and responded almost immediately to questions. We couldn’t have asked for kinder landlords for our weekend trip to the beach! We previously rented this house and have always enjoyed the amenities and responses from the homeowners! It is exceedingly well-stocked!

Really enjoyed this home! They have everything you could desire in a vacation home. Kitchen is very well stocked. Great dining seating. Beautiful view. The only drawback is the parking. Parking is super limited and hard to get by the house at the front of the driveway. Overall a great experience!

We've stayed at many homes in Galveston. This is a GEM. The owners are nice, the home is immaculate, the beds are comfortable, it is right on the beach, the walk over is in great condition without weeds all over it, the kitchen is big and well stocked, the outdoor shower has warm water, the view from the patios on both levels is PERFECT and the TV and internet work - EASILY - and without effort or disruption. We loved it!

We loved our stay in this home which was well maintained and well-stocked. Greatly appreciated the large amount of toys in the shed, as well as the surprise basketball and soccer goals. The views were magnificent, and the neighbors were quiet making for a great stay. Inside the home, everything was clean and well labeled. All of the beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of storage for anything we had brought along with us. It is hard to beat the immediate walk-over and multiple decks, and the large table was plenty big enough for our gathering. We'll definitely be recommending this place to other family members for future visits.

This is our second time renting this house. We love the location! The beach ( during off season) is amazing because no cars are allowed to drive on it. It is a very quiet area too. The house is very clean with lots of beds to accommodate everyone. Highly recommend this property for families!

We really enjoyed our stay and everything we needed was already there! It sure made packing so much easier! And all drawers/cupboards were labeled. I also liked that they left us space to put our groceries so that we didn't have to have all of our stuff on the counters. We LOVED the big dining room table so that we could all eat together. We love to cook so the big kitchen was great too as we weren't all on top of each other while preparing meals. We will definitely book again next year for our family beach trip! Thanks for having your renter's in mind with your set up.

The home was very nice and clean, however the best part about the stay was the beach. No one could drive on the section of beach in front of the house so we hardly had anyone near us on the beach. It was great with kids to not worry about traffic!

House was fantastic for 10 adults and 1 infant. 5 bedrooms (one of the bedrooms doubles as the upstairs living area, but still worked great). Awesome kitchen, nice deck area with super-quick access to the beach. As for the beach itself, it's a private beach shared by the homeowners/renters, which meant very few families and lots of room for frisbee, baseball and soccer. The only challenges we had was the TVs were in and out...some connection issue...but given we were there to spend time with family, it was not a big deal at all. Overall, we thought it was a terrific place to spend our family vacation, and won't hesitate to stay there again in the future.

This property is extremely nice and very clean. The beach did not allow cars which was perfect. A block down beach was bumper to bumper on the beach. The kitchen is very, very well stocked with any cooking device you would need. All the bedroom were great except for one upstairs that was almost useless for us. Using previous comments I actually brought drapes and over door hangers for the uncovered French doors. But the trundle beds would be hard to configure. Perhaps the owner needs to decide if it should be a bedroom or tv/game room and not try to make it both. And put blinds or shades on the doors. And frankly Galveston beach is just plain dirty. There is trash everywhere when you walk the beach. I know it sounds like we were miserable but we had a great time being together. And I would recommend this property but be clear that one of the bedrooms did not work at all well for us.

We stayed here for two weeks with 4 adults and 3 kids and had plenty of room. The beds are all very comfortable and the house had everything we needed. It was the best stocked rental home I had ever stayed it, the kitchen had everything from a blender to a slow cooker and each room had lots of pillows and blankets. The view of the beach from the balconies was perfect and the basketball hoop downstairs ended up being a huge hit with the kids when they needed a beach break or when it rained. The only thing that we were disappointed in was trash on the beach. While we saw garbage crews drive by every day on the beach and try to clean it, it was just coming up ever day from the ocean. Not sure if this is a Galveston wide problem or something had happened in gulf and it was washing up while we were there. The house was great though and we still had a blast.
