The shower had no pressure. Hot water was hard to get. They charge $28 to park. Too much . Parking was $15 in DC!

Loved this hotel. Had not stayed in a Kimpton before. Enjoyed restaurants, staff, lobby, social hour, and room.

Definitely understaffed. Especially in the sports bar restaurant. Otherwise loved it. Super clean room & comfy beds and great bar in lobby

It is a new and beautiful hotel with great architectural design and terraced landscaping. I think other than UVA, this hotel is the best thing in Charlottesville. We also enjoyed the 5 pm wine and social in the lobby.

Top notch place to stay. Clean, quiet, and peaceful. I’ll be back. The only negative thing is that parking is less than ideal.

Hotel is gorgeous. Great food and drink options. Friendly staff

Lovely property and staff. Overall it was excellent. The gym could use improvement but otherwise it was a 5 star stay.

The hotel is beautiful and Jonathan at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming!

We started our stay by going to the Good Sport. The bartender was excellent and knew his stuff when it came to drinks. He informed us of their home made grenadine etc which was awesome. Food was great. The other bartender attached to the restaurant ignored us when we went for a drink later, so we stuck with the Good Sport. Bed was extremely comfortable. Wish the HVAC provided a little more airflow. We enjoyed the gym and its cleanliness. Valet staff were extremely friendly. Overall a great experience and walking distance to JPJ for a comedy show.

Very nice hotel! I was surprised that it’s actually as nice as the pictures depict! Great wine/beer/snack reception in the lobby each evening and really great coffee bar in the mornings with adorable hot chocolate for the kiddos. I can’t wait to come back!

All I can tell you, I will stay here any and every time I’m in Charlottesville. I’ve stayed here three times in less than a year (first time was during its first week open) and each time is fantastic. The front desk staff are great and I LOVE the bartenders (Eric, Douglas, and Cicely (sp?).
Until next time!

Well appointed modern hotel, almost resort level.
Invoice at checkout did not match hotels.com quote. Hotel seemed to eat the difference.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! We were welcomed in by Brittney who immediately gave us a wonderful seasonal cocktail while she explained all the amenities. Then when we came down and asked for dessert recommendations she asked if we had any food allergies then sent us back to our room. Ten minutes later she arrived with a apple and ice cream dessert and a bottle of wine to boot! It was all absolutely delicious. This was supposed to be a quick over night stop for mt wife and I and the team at the hotel turned it into a truely special night. We cant wait to go back!

The Forum went above and beyond to make our stay special! It was my husband’s bday and they thoughtfully and generously offered complimentary dessert and snacks that he loved in our room. It is beautiful aesthetically and the facilities are all comfortable, elegant, classy and top notch. We can’t wait to come again!

We were supposed to have 2 queens and walked into the room and had one king bed. We called and they said they couldn’t give us the queens but could bring a rollaway. We went back in the room an hour later and no rollaway. We went to the front desk and asked again. They finally brought it up and we went out for our function returning late. My daughter was about to get into her uncomfortable rollaway, and there was no blankets or sheets. Just one sheet at the bottom of the bed. Very poor customer service for a nice hotel!

Beautiful hotel, room was amazing. Foyer was a nice hang out place. Only reason for the four star rating is they seemed under staffed at the restaurant and bar causing service delays.

Still relatively new. Facilities are fantastic.
The food is phenomenal! Had filet two nights in a row. Cocktails great too. Ask for Becca at main bar.
Minor kinks being worked out, but managment on it!

Beautiful setting with amazing walking trails. The lhotel,is grand with complimentary wine and beer tasting in the afternoon, a full coffee bar in the morning, and is directly next to the law and business UVA schools.

Everything about this stay was top notch from the view of our room to the super helpful and pleasant staff. We stayed there with three little kids for our family vacation from Louisiana. One day rained out which meant more time at the hotel that day and we had a great time just hanging around together at the hotel - there was something for everyone and an accommodating staff. My personal highlight was coming back to a clean room each day!
I was in charge of planning this trip for our family and I chose right by booking this hotel.

The Forum Lobby is very attractive and is designed with multiple gathering spaces throughout the lobby that allow you to enjoy beverages from the bar without feeling like you were sitting on top of the other guests. The rooms were well designed and impeccably clean. The service was extremely friendly and felt as if everybody at the hotel truly enjoyed working there. Did not eat at the main restaurant but the breakfast from room service was delicious! Look forward to a return visit.

We truly enjoyed the cleanliness of the property! Every inch of the space is beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming during our stay. We had everything we needed.

We thought we had parking and breakfast included however we were charged for both.
Not comfortable with all the dogs on property. Often in lobby there were confrontations between pets. A little scary. How do we check on fees charged?????

This is a fabulous hotel on a gorgeous piece of property. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way on a very busy weekend. The location is a little way from UVA grounds (bookstore, corner), but a nice walk if good weather. Note: the bar lobby bar and restaurants close pretty early so not a place to "grab a drink" after an event...

We loved everything about our weekend. Staff was wonderful and food in both restaurants was great.

Beautiful and new hotel. We have stayed here twice bc it is dog friendly and really nice. Convenient location to UVA

This property is incredible - clean, beautifully decorated, great spaces inside and out, excellent dining options, state-of-the-art fitness center, close to UVA, friendly and helpful staff - highly recommend!

It’s a beautiful hotel! Love the open feeling when you walk in and the seating area dispersed on the main floor. The front desk staff that evening was not very welcoming and the day staff was a bit unprofessional gossiping within our ear shot. Complimentary tea coffee in the lobby is lovely but it should not be the front desk staff job to refill it as we needed to check out early (7am) and there was no one at the desk. We waited and she had gone to get the refill for the coffee?? Overall large rooms and great size bathrooms with extra touches that make you feel welcome! Definitely will be back. Valet parking- we were under the impression that at the end of our stay we could trip the entire group but this was not the case and felt terrible that only one young man got a big tip.

I loved the gardens.
