There was great attention to detail in ensuring guests had every comfort including fresh bread and milk.
The furnishings are very tasteful and comfy, the kitchen utensils were spotless and knives were sharp!
Our dogs were very welcome and had plenty of room to roam. There are lovely walks from the door. We enjoyed the garden furniture to sun ourselves.
The owner was friendly and helpful and her suggestions for dining out were spot on.

Daryl was a charming hostess making us feel at home in her updated lovely home. Delicious breakfast, snacks and drinks available. She went the extra miles in making us comfortable. Wish I was staying longer.

A wonderfully restored, historic Station house dating back to the Victorian era. Extremely comfortable providing access to everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Breakfasts are carefully prepared and nicely presented by the host who does everything to ensure your stay is perfect.

We were asked our preferences and all were met above and beyond. Lovely village and the only disappointment was the weather.

We liked everything about Station House. A bonus was the excellent Italian restaurant recommended for an evening meal by our host. Only a short walk away and very good food and service.

All the food was top quality, everything very fresh and tasty.

It was superb, hotels was so friendly, showed us around property, left milk, butter and a loaf of bread loads of tea bags, even a coffee pod machine. The cottage was of the highest possible, so clean, boxes of tissue everywhere.

The room was superb, beautifully decorated and equipped. Breakfast offered fresh fruit and extremely high quality yogurts, etc, no cereals, by design, but not missed because these and the cooked items were prepared fresh using farm shop products, meats, eggs, bread/ toast,....even the tea and coffee, always available, are of the highest quality... to cap everything, Daryl does everything herself ensuring the quality is maintained. A wonderful find for us.

An old station waiting room that has been converted into living accommodation of an excellent standard. Was great for us to use as a base to see Durham and the surrounding area. The owner couldn't have been more helpful. Will stay again.

We were self catering. Property is beautifully presented. Daryl was lovely and thoughtfully provided essentials of milk, bread etc.

Cute cottage and all the little touches were so nice, beautiful decor, loved the wood burner too so cosy, the host was a lovely friendly lady would definitely reccomend this place 🥰
