Neither unit had been cleaned--a plate of old food in the microwave, rubbish and dirty socks in the drawers, filthy air vents. A closet door in the kitchen was off its hinges, the washing machine and bathroom had mildew, the dryer lint trap was completely full. Mouse poison and mouse traps throughout both units. Crumbling sidewalks and cigarette butts outside, uncovered electrical receptacles inside. We arrived at check-in time, inspected the property and found it unfit. I contacted the host, who did nothing. I contacted VRBO, who did nothing. I left the property immediately and told the host I was not staying there. The host stopped communicating with me and VRBO won't issue a refund. This is the worst property and the worst host I've encountered, and VRBO sided squarely with the host.
