Port Renfrew is a small town. Everything is really close. This 'Cozy Cottage' is what it advertises. It is situated in a designed cottage development. There are many other cottages in the vicinity. The area is well developed and well kept. We had no problems finding the cottage. There were notes on the web page about spotty internet. However, we were able to use our GPS to locate the property. As mentioned earlier, it is close to a couple local restaurants and grocery stores. It is very close to Botanical Beach which is very worthwhile visiting. As per the property, it is nestled in a corner lot next to a cliff. There is plenty of parking in front. There is a firepit area with comfy chairs. There is a front deck with more comfy upholstered chairs and warming unit. As you approach it is surprisingly welcoming after a long day of touring the island. We were very happy with our stay. It is cozy because it is well appointed, efficiently spaced, and clean. It has a beautiful queen bed and a pull out couch. Washroom was clean and equipped with typical shower supplies. There is a TV with a DVD/CD player with plenty of CDs with mixes. We enjoyed playing each CD mix and wondering what the next song was. We were happy and cozy with our stay and had a chance to meet locals and travelers in the complex.

As per the heating unit, there wasn't enough propane to keep the heat running more than half hour. There is no cable or Netflix service. The BBQ unit was dirty from previous use.

Cottage is in a good location and well equipped.

Emailed host during stay as sheets on sofa bed didn't appear to be clean. Did not hear back.

Nice calm location

A bit hard to find.

Steep cleaning fee for one night.
