The house was clean and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was spacious. The location was also perfect, within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and attractions. The host was communicative and responsive, and made sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend this house to others!

During a visit with family in the area we stayed at this well appointed property. The home had a very comfortable living area, bedding and a lovely back patio where we enjoyed our morning coffee. Easy access to the highways faciliated our drives to various locations. Hope to visit again.

The house is perfect size for 4 people (and even more as we didn't use one bedroom). Nice big backyard.
The kitchen is not as fully stocked as it should be. Few spices, one roll of paper towels and a few other shortages. The ice maker was clogged. You would expect housekeeping to have noticed.
If you want to watch something live on TV, forget it. We contacted Vacasa and Brad came over with a Roku that he purchased. Fortunately, we were tech savvy and connected to our home Direct TV account to watch sports. The TV is very old. Cmon - for a nice house like this buy a decent TV and provide some basic cable service!
There are no end tables in the living room to put drinks on if you are sitting on one of the couches. Another small but necessary expense.
The toilet seat in one bathroom was very loose. We loved the bidets in both bathrooms!
Overall its is a good value house but we think the owner should spend a few bucks to bring kitchen amenities and other things we mentioned it up to standard.

The house was lovely for a short stay. Clean, comfortable beds, updated kitchen with basic amenities. Plenty of towels and beach towels if you are heading to the beach. Original description did not mention sharing a property border with the high school stadium. There was a game in progress upon arrival. Once inside the house stadium announcements and noise was not very noticible. Likewise, planes taking off and trains were heard but not in a disruptive way. We were aware there was no cable servive and the smart tv provided streming options for TV. There was no sevice for local stations and live TV. Rug runners were curling at edges that made for a tripping hazzard for 89 y/o parents. We were going to take them up for the stay but the rugs were held down with adhesive. Problem resolves by taping the corners down for the duration of the stay. Astroturf lawn area may not be very friendly for toddlers and small children. Most outlets had usb A and usb C options. Uneven walk with low (less than 5 foot clearance) made navigating entrance hazardous.

This property was very nice and met our needs well. The property was very clean and the finishes were really nice.
Very pleased with the property.
If there was one item to improve on, it would be to add ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Our stay was in early September and the temps can get hot. Most homes in the central coast dont have AC therefore its left for us to ensure airflow. We didnt feel comfortable leaving the windows open and therefore the home was warm each evening we returned. The first night it was 85 in the home. it would have helped to have fans to help circulate the air but overall, we would definitely rent this property again as its close to our families home.
5 stars. Excellent home.

This property fit our needs perfectly. Our son was finishing his graduate studies at UCSB and we were in town supporting him. I'd like to point out more clearly to future renters that this home doesn't have AC, which apparently is common for this area. The temperatures were unusually hot, in the 90's during the days we were there and the house was very hot. It did cool down into the 70's in the evenings, and a quick trip to Target to pick up some box fans for $27/each helped with the temps during the day. When sitting outside, we didn't hear AC units running at neighboring properties either so again, this seems to be common for this area. The fine print description for the property does state no AC, I just missed it. (My bad) and wanted to make sure future renters were fully aware of this.
Second item and not the property owners fault, but the house next door has a small dog that barked non stop for more that 7 hours the Saturday we arrived. Through out the next few days there would be a couple hours of barking (not 7+ hours) and fortunately the bulk of it was during the day. The evenings were mainly quiet. I'm a dog lover but this got to be irritating day after day.
Again, a lovely property, we enjoyed our stay. These are a couple items that aren't listed or easy to overlook that I'd appreciate having a clear "heads up" on.

The minute we walked into the house, there was an overwhelming smell of old cigarettes. It was really bad. we opened all the windows and turned on the ceiling fan to no avail. The living room carpet was stained and dirty and some places in the house, like window sills were really dirty. We notified the property manager about the smell - the claimed it was new furniture smell. I don't know of any new furniture that smells like cigarettes. It never dissipated the entire stay. It was so bad that we could not spend any time in the living room or kitchen. And we spent as little time as possible at the house at all. We had to eat all meals outside (which was fine but it was also necessary). I would not recommend this house to anyone. The cigarette smell was unbearable. It smelled like a seedy old tavern.

The House is a beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed vacation rental home located in the heart of Goleta. The house is just a short drive to the beach, and it's also close to restaurants, shops, and other attractions.
The bedrooms are all spacious and well-appointed, and the bathrooms are all updated and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and eat like a local, and the living room is a great place to relax. The backyard is marvelously big with installed fake grass for kids to play and beautiful Mountain View. Shade of the gazebo added an additional feature with full barbecue facility.
Vacasa was very responsive and helpful, and they made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. We had a wonderful time at The House, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a vacation.
