The hosts were responsive and helpful. The house has great air conditioning, and I was a fan of some of the interior design choices. The bathrooms were nice, and the showers had awesome water pressure. The owner seemed very nice and empathetic considering some of the trouble we were having, and was able to offer a refund for one of the nights, which was very helpful. This was an unusual case, and I don't want to assume that every guest would have the same experience I did. But if they do, the owner/hosts will be there to help. I think this property might be better suited for a group of young adults wanting to explore Atlanta, and maybe not a family with young children.

On arrival, the code I was given to get into the house was not working, so I had to call for a new code. There was some drama right next door at the same time, although I can't blame the owners of this property for that. A group of men were hanging out in the driveway next door. One of them had obviously gotten too inebriated and was refusing to leave. Then he passed out in the street and an ambulance came to him up. Just slightly stressful to experience as me and my family were dealing with getting the new code and settling into the house. As we settled in, we found several disturbing things. There were burn marks on the carpet and on one of the beds from cigarettes or something. We found an empty sandwich baggy with (presumably) marijuana residue in one of the bedrooms. In one of the closets was a loaded pump shotgun, next to more drug paraphernalia. Some of the rooms had a very strong odor of marijuana. We informed the owner, and she was very helpful, offering us a 24% discount. Although the property manager then showed up at the house unexpectedly at 9:30pm to pick up the firearm. Needless to say, my family, consisting mostly of young girls, was a little stressed with this experience after driving 8 hours and spending over $1000 to be here. Those were obviously the biggest problems. We also found out that the oven doesn't work. There were opened condiments left in the cabinet, unrefrigerated. There are two TVs and two ceiling fans upstairs, but there is only ONE remote which controls both TVs, and ONE remote to control both ceiling fans. It was very confusing, and we were constantly turning on each other's ceiling lights or turning the other TV off by accident.
