It's 3/4 mile to Public Beach Access #1 with convenient restrooms and a shower, close enough to run back to the house if you forget your sunscreen. Arborgate is in the heart of Perdido Key and just around the corner from some very popular restaurants with spectacular sunset views. There is a public kayak launch across River Road and boat rentals available at Holiday Harbor. The Gate-Away is located between Downtown Pensacola and Orange Beach so great shopping, an outlet mall and even more restaurants and great attractions are a short drive away.
