The island is almost all single family homes so you’ll quickly find it has a pristine 'non-commercial” family feel. There are no large high-rise resorts, beach bars or traffic and noise. Off island you’ll be close to restaurants, shops, golf courses and world famous Boca Grande as well as other attractions. As we like to say... civilization is close but not too close. Boca Grande offers exclusive shopping, dining and sightseeing. By boat you can reach Cayo Costa Island State Park and Cabbage Key where Jimmy Buffet was inspired to write 'Cheeseburger In Paradise.' Do it all, or do nothing at all, that’s the “island” lifestyle. It’s laid back, always casual (leave your tie at home) and Florida at its best. We had a lovely time even though the weather could have been nicer. We didn’t get to use the pool. We were able to see one spectacular sunset, wishing we saw more. The food at the Rum Bay restaurant lacked in flavor, service was good however. The beach was full of shells and it was awesome to walk on.

Short stay to visit with family. Home was beautiful and the view gorgeous! Do bring your bug repellent though. Hunting the beach for shark teeth was so much fun!

Palm Island is an amazing spot, and this is an excellent property. The car ferry at $55 a trip ensures all visits to the mainland are efficient and well thought out, but that is no big deal. There was lots of wildlife on display, and we were fortunate to see some loggerhead babies scrambling into the ocean early in the morning. Four of the five made it, and one was an egret snack. The fact that it is booked solid most of the year tells you all you need to know.

Beautiful property located a few steps from the sea, beautiful sunsets that will go into our memories, my 7 and 8 year old daughters loved the pool while the older ones enjoyed the gentle ocean breeze. the house very clean, beautifully decorated, the kitchen well equipped. After a quick car ferry ride (this was a first and we thought it was pretty cool) you will arrive at this beautiful home equipped with everything you need for an island getaway. Diane was very responsive to all of my questions and she was a pleasure to speak with. Our family (and the dog) really enjoyed spending our days in the ocean enjoying the kayaks, paddle board and boogie boards. We even saw a gopher tortoise! We brought all of our food and enjoyed family meals on the screened porch while watching the most amazing sunsets. Thank you for sharing your home. We appreciated some much needed family time and relaxation.

We spent an amazing week at this lovely property with our family. Many activities are available in addition to walking the almost solitary beach. An adjacent swimming, tennis/pickleball court, bikes, kayaks and a dock on the bay provided many alternative activities for our kids. We will definitely return!

From the booking to the welcomed feedback of how to make things more awesome, Julie was the best. It was a quiet time of year so it truly felt like we were the only people on the island. The location is great. Hard to find a more secluded and peaceful location on the beach. Condo was very clean and stocked well with necessities. Host was communicative and helpful as was Heather with the concierge service. Will stay again. Being able to bring our furry friend was also nice.

Wonderful location and great property. Communication with owner was great. There is tons of information provided ahead of time so we knew exactly how to get around the island, rent a golf cart, etc. Pool right next to the building was the cleanest I have ever seen, great for a break from floating in the ocean. Golf cart rental was incredibly easy, we enjoyed riding around the island with our little dog. The unit is literally steps from the water, closest we ever stayed to the ocean. Sunsets from the balcony of the master bedroom were beyond description. The beach is so clean and the water clear and beautiful, and even with all units rented, at most a handful of people around us at any time on the beach. We saw someone propose in front of our unit on the beach and another couple got married on the back porch of the unit next to ours. We look forward to coming back!

We had such an amazing stay on Palm Island. The property was great. It was our 3rd time on the island and by far the best location/property we’ve stayed. The pool was great, literally steps to the beach and the house was perfect. The property manager and owner were very accessible and quick to respond. We loved it!!

Definitely one of the best rental experiences ever. The unit was very clean and well stocked with necessary tools/items (ie. Beach chairs, plenty of kitchen utensils and cookware, etc). And quiet - barely heard the renters next door. Also like that there was a lot of communication prior to check in so we made sure we were prepared. And of course there was the beach itself. Very private and not crowded at all which made it all the better. Hope to go back next year. It was the week I needed away from work.

We enjoyed our week at this wonderful location!! The Cruz Del Sur unit, the view of the beautiful beach and access to the beach as well as having the bikes and other items to use were so great. We were a little unsure about the ferry and limited food options but that all turned out great with a little extra grocery store shopping. We hope to return next year for a week of quiet and special beach time!!! We also appreciate all the communications and help from Julie which helped to make the visit easy.

Wonderful vacation start to finish! The property was beautiful, the proximity to the ocean was perfect, just a few steps from the back of the house on the trail over the dunes to beautiful shell filled soft sand beach. There is even a gopher tortoise that lives directly in front of the unit and we got to see him on several occasions! We walked both north & sound along the beach from the property and were in awe of the beautiful landscape! One day we found dozens of shark teeth and the next day dozens of sand dollars… endless amount of unique shells and wildlife! It was chilly during our stay but we were still able to spend several days at the pool, great amenities and it was heated to perfection. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed. We rented a golf cart for the week, that was an easy process but we decided we definitely didn’t need one, getting around was very easy. The ferry process was new to us and definitely a learning curve not knowing what to expect we bought a week pass which was five trips across to the mainland…..we also decided next time we will pay as we go, if you are prepared there’s no reason to leave the island. Super fun experience, we will definitely be back!!!
