First and foremost, the house is clean and in safe, established neighborhood. The owner communicated before and during the stay quickly; and immediately when texted about an issue. I also believe the home to be newly converted to a VRBO, offering an explanation for the things it lacks. Such as: Basic cooking needs: a full set of pots and pans, measuring cups and spoons, a can opener. Hand mixer, blender, etc. The kitchen is sparse, to say the least. Drinking glasses: plenty of wine glasses but slim pickins for a glass for water. The dishwasher didn't work after 3 tries. The drains don't drain. We found Liquid Plumber and used it at bath time and after doing the dishes. The oven and stove had been recently cleaned, but the chemicals were not washed off of the appliance. When we turned it on to use on the first morning, the house filled with smoke. It's as if the house was cleaned, but not "clean". Again, the house is comfortable, safe with deadbolts on the doors and locks on the sliding glass doors, and the owner was very nice. This house has a way to go in order to be a great rental.
