Just a short drive away you will find the market town of Bridport, with its famous street market, independent shops and restaurants, and it is well worth a visit. If you are a fan of the ITV series Broadchurch, the chalet used in the first series is opposite The Billy Shed, and West Bay where the series was based is just a short drive away, where you can see many familiar sights, including the popular harbour. There is so much to be enjoyed on the doorstep of this beautiful property, with the coast path heading east and west, and the nearby coastal villages of Burton Bradstock, West Bexington and Seatown. However, don't let that stop you from exploring a little further, with Chesil beach, Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Abbotsbury, Weymouth and Portland all just a pleasant drive away, along Dorset's famous coastal road. For more energetic pursuits, the walk up to the top of nearby Golden Cap is highly recommended, affording wonderful views all along the coastline from this highest point of the South Coast.
