Nothing to special. Been to better but also been to worse

We will never stay here again! The outside door would not close or lock. The room and the halls are filthy. The minute you walk in the smell is old and musty. The door to the room had a tissue in the peephole, went to go get ice and the ice machine was filthy and the area it was in had not been swept or cleaned in forever. The bathroom in our room had one light with a fan and it was so loud and annoying. The tv screen was the size of a computer screen but a little bigger! The carpet in the room was filthy. We only had lukewarm water. We did not take a shower because the shower curtain was only up with alot of the holes not fastened. Thank goodness we were only there one night. Never ever stay there again.

The extension cord for the bed light is bad. The socket works.

The innkeeper was extremely friendly and hospitable.

The Management is working very hard to bring this property back to a mire inviting destination. The new flooring is exceptional and they are continuing with improvements. The owner gas only had the property a few months and is genuinely concerned for his guest!

You get what you pay for and luckily for cheapos like me that just need a bed, that’s fine! Everything that could be stained was except the bed. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable. I got a waffle and coffee in the morning from the limited breakfast, they stay was fine. Bare bones, rundown, but didn’t want to pay $100 dollars for just a good night’s sleep by myself (my husband would never stay here with kids), so happy with my selection.

The bed was old, no blanket, no mattress pad, just a sheet that had stains on it and a sad bedspread with stains. The floor had not been mopped or swept prior to my stay. Bathroom was not clean. Looks like bed is made and trash changed after people leave and that is it. Sad conditions.

The owner was awesome very friendly and accommodating!

Bare bones—fewer towels than people, no mattress pads, thin pillows. Arrived late, slept very well, left early so it all worked. Owner was very kind and helpful making a breakfast waffle.

Remodel in progress, looks like its been a while during construction process. Room was nicely decroted, bathub is rusted bad and faucet missing chrim hardware.

If you just want a place to get a good nights sleep without spending a lot, then you will like this motel. It's not fancy and there are cosmetic defects, mostly in the wood trim, but it is clean, the bed was great, and the owner and staff aim to please. I would certainly stay there again.

The management and staff are awesome. The owner is very kind and working hard on the site renovations. What made this a great stay was his caring and attention to details

Hotel is very run down. Staff was friendly.

I would not recommend anybody to stay there, pretty dirty facility, stuffy. I don’t think they wash their bedding, lot of hair, I was happy that we just came back from camping. At least we had our our own bedding along. We use our own bedding, bathroom was pretty dirty to. I’d rather spend an extra dollar and go somewhere else. I think we should get a full refund yet.

Great place for the value.

Owner/manager was very gracious. Showed us our room to make sure it was satisfactory. It Was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Was a bit disappointed to find that there was no breakfast as suggested on the website. (Which was explained why by the owner) But was convenient to restaurants and gas station. Overall was satisfied with our stay there. They are doing remodeling of the rooms and building. Newer owners. Would stay again.

It was comfortable and clean. Quiet area and the staff was polite and inviting.

Upon checking in our initial room had used syringes in the bathroom and under the bed, we were upgraded to a new room for our stay which was much better. However there was no trash can in the room and the drug use from the people staying next to us was ridiculous. As nice as the owner was we will not be back.

They are renovating, but you still get a comfortable bed and a hot bath/shower in a convenient location for a great price! We would stay there again!

The owner was so nice and accommodating. The hotel appears to be in the process of some updates but you can’t beat the price. The bed was comfortable and the room was perfect for catching some sleep while traveling through!

The owner/manager was very helpful. He had turned the ac on before I arrived so the room was comfortable. The fridge was replaced because housekeeping noticed the other one was broken. The hotel looks to be in the process of upgrading. The room was cool and the bed comfortable.

Customer service was outstanding. Man at the front desk was very welcoming and professional.

There was some confusion as I arrived at the property. There is a Days Inn hotel directly in front of the Salina Hotel. In the darkness they appear to be the same property. I got turned around a little bit but eventually made it to the hotel. I was greeted by a man named Dil, the proprietor/ manager who not only greeted me but showed me to my room. As I was on a motorcycle he encouraged me to park in front where he could keep an eye on it and I suppose it's where the cameras are best oriented for security. He mentioned that there is an agreement with the local police department that they sweep through the parking lot several times during the night. I happened to see a police cruiser as I had arrived doing a security check. I was assured that there would be no security issues. Although the property is a bit dated, he went above and beyond what was required to make my stay a great deal more comfortable. I have never experienced what was almost like a concierge type environment. He even stopped by my room at approximately 10:00 a.m. to tell me the coffee in the lobby was ready. His attention for my comfort level overcame any detractors of the condition of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, mattress firm. Great shower and the price was reasonable. The television system required the use of two remote controls but when you got the hang of it the amount of channels available was impressive. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. This place is horrible. The first problem was the horrendous smell. The clincher was the staff refusing to do anything about the extremely rude and noisy neighbor. It was the last straw. Because the staff refused to do anything about the noise i had no choice but to leave.

This motel has new owner. Previous owner let property get in bad shape. New owner is a good person and is working to improve conditions but has a long way to go and limited finances. I wish him luck.

The management recently changed so a lot of this will hopefully smooth out since the new owner is passionate and friendly and they had to release some bad staff. The best part was how convenient the location is, the price, they are pet friendly (we had a cat and a bird), and how great the staff is. The downside is that the place was dirty (they recently released the housekeeper). The beds and sheets were clean but the floor under the bed was dirty. Also the building is old so it needs renovations (they are currently renovating some rooms). The location was a little sketchy at night but in the morning it was great. Overall it was a good stay, close to the highways, with good diners near by and in a couple years I can see this place to being excellent.
