You can buy chains for your tires at the base of the mountain as you drive through Banner Elk if your car is 2 wheel drive. Winter season: lift tickets can be purchased online through Beech Mountain Ski Resort’s website and picked up at ticket booth located beside the main lodge. Ski Rentals: renting from the ski resort is easiest but if you chose to get your skis elsewhere, we recommend you pick up the day before at any of these places (make reservations well in advance) 1.
