The Space: -The Space- Deriving its name from the whimsical classic, Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass, Looking Glass is a luxurious and meticulously designed retreat in Yucca Valley, California. Set on 2.5 acres of pristine desert landscape, this high-design haven offers a main house with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, alongside a separate 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom casita, complete with its own kitchen, dining, and living space. Both spaces feature stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, seamlessly blending the indoor and outdoor environments for an immersive and awe-inspiring experience. -Living Area- The heart of Looking Glass is its captivating living area, adorned with a stone and tile wood-burning fireplace that serves as a focal point, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The record player, complete with a record collection, helps set the mood. The open layout connects the living space with the dining area and chef's kitchen, providing a perfect setting for socializing, relaxation, and shared moments. -Kitchen & Dining- Indulge your culinary desires in the expansive chef's kitchen, equipped with top-of-the-line appliances and ample counter space. The second bedroom has a queen bed, private office space, as well as an ensuite bathroom. The bedroom, featuring two plush queen-sized beds, ensure a restful night's sleep. The bathroom features a luxurious soaking tub. Please note that the garage and two closets in the laundry room are locked to guests that are being used for supplies for the rental. The Neighborhood: The home is situated in a beautiful and tranquil area of Yucca Valley. Other Things to Note: ~Pool Heating Fee~ Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival as there will be a supplemental charge per day in the cooler months for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. ► May through September - included in your stay ► October & April - $200/night ► November through March - $250/night *No fee to heat the hot tub!* ~Pool Heating~ Only one of the pool or hot tub can heat at once. If you wish to use the hot tub while the pool is heating, just note that the pool heating will turn off while the hot tub heats. Once the hot tub is turned back off, the pool heating will resume. ~Hot Tub Heating~ Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated constantly in order to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature. ~Pool and Hot Tub Service~ The pool and hot tub are serviced Tuesday and Friday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard. ~Dogs~ Looking Glass welcomes your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed. ~Parking~ Parking is available for four vehicles in the carport and driveway. ~Trash & Recycling Service~ Trash day is TBA. The trash company will bring the cans out and back in. ~Cleaning Fee~ 100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners. Interaction with Guests: We live locally in Joshua Tree and are available when needed - we are just a message away at any time!
