Our overall experience was good. We did however have plumbing and electrical issues which the owner attempted to have resolved during our stay. We found the house to be somewhat cluttered and we were disappointed with the washer/dryer which was a single unit and each load required approximately 5 hours to fully cycle. The owner was very nice and responsive to our concerns. The location was good despite the commercial properties across the street and its proximity to the highway. We especially enjoyed Founder's Park where we found a beach and dog park. Entry is free to the community, you only need to present your lease and will receive passes for the duration of your stay. Manatees are frequent visitors in the canal behind the house especially during morning coffee hour. Iguanas living in the neighboring tree branches sun themselves on the dock in the afternoon. The hammock and kayak supplied were a definite plus. We enjoyed Islamorada's bars and restaurants, especially "Marker 88". We even caught a glimpse of the filming of an upcoming segment of the TV series, Bloodline, which is based in the keys. Don't forget to visit Theatre of the Seas for an enjoyable day. We love the keys and took a 2 day trip to Key West; only 90 miles!

We stayed for four weeks in the rental. Let me say, it was better than we could have expected. The owner was quick to address any questions or concerns. It was like a home away from home. The furnishings were nice, master bed was great, full kitchen that we used extensively, dockage perfect for most any boat. Located about 2 miles from groceries and drug store, hardware stores, etc. a few miles further south is Islamorada...docakge on canal; that is minutes from Tavernier Creek providing easy access to both the back bay and the Atlantic and its reefs. Next time we do a vacation in the keys...it WILL be here...

My husband and I rented the house for the month of February. It was the most wonderful time we have had in long time. The place was great, exactly how it was pictured and described. It was close to everything we wanted to do and just a walk across the street to a little grocery store. The highlight of our trip was waking up and having coffee with the manatee's every morning. They would be just hanging out in the canal. I would recommend this place to anyone and I can't wait to book again for next year!

My husband and I had a great vacation in the keys over the Thanksgiving holiday. This cottage in Islamorada was perfect. The description and photos accurately reflect the appearance and amenities. When we first arrived, we automatically noticed how the cottage was clean, updated, and well-maintained. We loved the backyard, which is on a canal with a relaxing pergola and hammock. The owners were extremely helpful and easy to contact with any questions and/or concerns. There is a great restaurant right by the cottage with yummy food and drinks. Make sure you check out all the local restaurants/bars. The owners provided us with a great list of places. Also, we drove down to Key West one day too, it was a beautiful drive. We were able to bring our golden retriever. All of the bars/restaurants are pet-friendly and we really enjoyed taking her everywhere with us. Also, check out Anne's Beach. It's a free beach with canopies right on the Atlantic Ocean and again pet-friendly. One morning we saw three manatees in the canal behind the cottage. That afternoon one manatee came right up to where we were sitting. It was an amazing experience!! We would recommend this amazing cottage to any friends or relatives. We know you will love it just as much as we did.
